Good luck on your new venture and for establishing a forum where divergent views about politics, countries, events, news, and even the big elephant in the room the US-Jewish-Israel-Palestinian issues could be discussed openly. There are many other forums where this can be discussed but I've stayed close to PI.

Of course when Israel is criticized the next shoe to drop isn't candid debate, but the ubiquitous ridiculous claims of conspiracy beliefs and always the fool's claim of anti-Semitism. This AS hand has been over-played for 50 years when the real hand should be let's openly discuss it all without the BS. Most recognize it for what it is - diversion.

I even regularly post on PSU, Israel Forum, DU and others where the lease is short and the agenda obvious and total candidness is somewhat out of the question. Instead inquisitiveness with proper etiquette suffices.

My sense is that this openness of PI is ending and in its place is the more typical bullying against those who present opinions with facts and instead of pushing propaganda.

I'll hang around until opinions and speech are totally impeded.

something to you. There are few Americans who should ever be ashamed to express candid views on Israel or to tip toe on the head of a needle when it comes to the discussion of anti-Semitism. We Americans paid very heavily with the lives of relatives and our country's treasury to do the correct thing in WW2 and when necessary die to free Jews from Nazis. Furthermore we have paid hundreds of billions to support Israel.

So if you believe for one instant that I think lightly about anti-Semitism you are are wrong. But if you think for another instant that I and most Americans have no right to express candid opinions about Zionism and the USA relationship with Israel you need reeducated.

The bottom line is that Israel is our ally, not our friend and that the USA needs to look after the USA first.
