Rather than countering “Russian aggression,” the breakneck militarization of the Black Sea is rooted in the drive by the US and European powers to control the Eurasian landmass.

NATO (the US Empire) is following Zbigniew Brzezinski's plan, as outlined in his book on world conquest, to a "T". All Putin has to do to know what is coming next is read Brzezinski. It is odd, I think, that no mainstream commentator (that I know of) has brought up this fact. The idea that the path to conquering the world is laid out in Brzezinski's book and the US government is following it to the letter , would seem to me to be something that would be of interest to damn near everyone. Yet, the narrative, as given by the MS media, is that these situations and confrontations between world powers, daily becoming more intense, are happening based upon US reaction to actions taken by others (Russia specifically, but exclusively). No doubt that there are many actions taken by the US in reaction to things ongoing, but the movements and outlines of policies and actions are revealed in The Grand Chessboard for all to see. If there is any kind of civilization left in the future, I wonder how ol' Zbiggy will be viewed.

He is a monster who dwarfs the monster Kissinger. That he is a Polish aristo with a hard-on for Russia might give his masters pause about his deep motivations if they were able think beyond their immediate gratification.
