The best version I've ever heard was T-Bone Walker and Bobby Bland on a T-Bone album but it ain't on the net.

Getting personal, my sister is in a below ground level apartment east of Baltimore, flat as a fritter, just a couple miles from the big water. The creeks in this area flood at the drop of a hat.

This from an old buddy of mine who works for NOAA:

The eye looks like it's getting disorganized - might be an eyewall replacement cycle.
This is a big, dramatic system. For a spectacular set of images, go to
http://rammb.cira.colostate.edu/ramsdis/online/goes-west_goes-east.asp
and click on the Flash loop for GOES-East 4 km Thermal Infrared - IR4

The eye, if there is one, is tracking to pass right over Baltimore.

I hope your Sis can get to high ground.

She's at work now and couldn't talk(grr..) Question is will she be able to get to her place after work, I sure hope she don't stay there tonight, she can stay with her son.

Hurricaine Agnes hammered B'more in June '72, around a dozen killed, mostly sucked down storm drains.

A selection forwarded from my weather bud:

You would've loved the acoustic set this chick played at the radical bookstore this weekend. She said she didn't know if she wanted to play anything so "witchy" so far from Olympia. Then she said it was sort of a magic spell and played it anyway. I liked it, despite myself (which, before you say it, is pretty much the only way I like anything)

I knew this Wicca girl, oh, fifteen years ago or so, and she would do "spells" and shit. I asked her if could could make the rust on my '78 Ford F-100 go away. I just got a dirty look, but I thought it would be a good test of her magick! :)

If she was really a smart ass, she would've given you the number for a local wrecker. Nothing like a compacter to make rust disappear..

I was afraid you were going to tell me I shoulda proposed to her btw..

EDIT: incidentally, some smartass wrote in the dust on the back of my '87 wagon. But instead of WASH ME I got CRUSH ME

That old 78 Ford was a good old truck. It finally died on me and it set out in front of my house for a while. Then some old hillbilly came by and asked how much I wanted for it. I said, "200 dollars." He agreed and I thought, "Sucker." I figured he'd bring in something to tow it off, but he just popped the hood, tinkered around for a half hour and then drove it off! I still see it, every so often, on the road, driving around. I miss that damned truck...
