I don't know much about him but people seem to think he's less crooked than most. Looks like he's from your neck of the woods Kid, any thoughts?

He might be an alright guy who has said some good stuff but at the end of the day he's just another Kucinich waiting to have his feet of clay exposed. Otherwise why would he be a Democrat?

That's the key right there. The Dem platform is status quo neo-liberal crap with some bleeding-heart rhetoric thrown in. If he is a Dem, that is what he supports.
He's just a bone thrown to keep the so-called 'progressive wing' or whatever in line.
In my one party (D) town there were some kinda populist challengers this year to the mayoral incumbent and his pro-business city-council crew. I had several friends/acquaintances trying to get me to put signs in my yard and go vote for these people. My answer was no - especially not if they are running as Democrats. I do not and will not support that party, and I won't vote in a primary for a party that sucks. Sorry.
Fuck the Dem politicians. All of them. Like you say, he could be an alright guy, but that has nothing to do with his job in Washington. He personifies the Dem manipulation of the 'message' to keep the illusion up that the Dems are somehow 'left'-er than the Repubs. But when it comes down to results, Grayson, like Kucinich, ain't nothing.

Grayson doesn't even come close to rising to the level of Kucinich. Hes some multi-millionaire douchebag whose most notable quality is that hes a goofball who can't contain his bizarre goofiness (sometimes descending even into the juvenile or downright idiotic)
The only reason anyone has ever heard of him is that he's a loudmouth and therefore an easy target for the opposition which in turn rallies the faithful to his defense.
He ran 2 years ago on busting fraud in Iraq spending (like $800 for a pair of combat boots) as his main issue. So, *mildly* populist at best.
Shortly thereafter he was part of a group that invested in some ponzi scheme and he made a big deal crying about how he got ripped off. This during the worst of the recession, as he lost a fraction of his wealth which nevertheless constituted more than most people make in a decade or even a lifetime.
The only thing worthwhile Grayson has ever done that I'm aware of is dubbing his opponent Taliban Dan for his extreme religious views on women (ie drawing the comparison to fundamentalist Christianity and reactionary Islam).

:iagree: Kucinich has a long track record of being consistently progressive. Oh, I was disappointed with him for voting for the Health Insurance Corporation Enrichment Act, er, health care "reform," after Obama twisted his arm, but at least some federal money showed up in his district afterwards(alert: I LIKE some pork barrel politics). Grayson's said a lot of good things, but once I signed one of his petitions my email site came close to crashing with all of his appeals for money added to Obama's OFA which keeps sending me shit even after I repeatedly and increasingly scathingly asked them to take me off their mailing list.
it is amazing how blatant they are with their money requests. Al Franken is the only one I've donated to, and only because he is supporting the Arthritis Prevention, Control and Cure Act (HR 1210 - recently passed the House and will go the Senate next).

Liar and Lies and the Lying Liars who Tell Them were particularly good. Of course, bashing Republican shock jocks and talking heads is like shooting fish in a barrel to anyone with a modicum of intelligence and education. Still, Franken did it in a way that made me laugh.

Democrats=Republicans. They really are no different, at all...except that Republicans tend to be more honest about themselves...

and borderline hipster motherfuckers. And they reek of internet "culture" which is the oxymoron it sounds like.
Olberman, Colbert, Jon Stewart, Franken, Maddow,..
