Key concepts: Global warming, Climate change and Civilization

(NaturalNews) Is global warming a hoax? We've received a huge number of reader questions (and even complaints) about this issue. Many are convinced that global warming is just a hoax contrived by the government to grab power and destroy the economy. In my view, that explanation is half right.

Yes, in my opinion global warming and climate change is absolutely being used by Big Government to grab more power, restrict more freedoms and in many ways consolidate power at both the national and global levels. That much is clearly true. At the same time, however, climate change is really happening.

I see convincing evidence that the activities of humankind are, indeed, altering our atmosphere in ways that accelerate normal processes, essentially dominating the cycles and throwing them far out of balance. The recent findings on rising sea levels, for example, truly are cause for concern for long-term "big picture" thinkers. Good studies show sea levels rising at a rate approaching one centimeter per year (http://www.reuters.com/article/late...).

Last week, 2500 scientists gathered in Copenhagen to issue a stark warning about carbon emissions and "irreversible shifts in climate." (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/ne...) And much like an environmental freedom fighter, NASA scientist James Hansen is now spearheading protests aimed at the "do nothing" governments that sit around and ignore the climate change problem while things continue to get worse.

It's important to remember that just because Big Government is exploiting this crisis to grab power doesn't mean the crisis is not real. What's happened here, in my view, is that power-hungry bureaucrats around the world have latched onto this very real development of climate change and found ways to exploit it to their own advantage.

As Hillary Clinton famously said recently, "Never waste a good crisis." And they sure aren't hesitating to leap on this climate change crisis as a way to restrict freedom and grab power.

Why Big Business wants you to believe global warming is a hoax
Do not be fooled into thinking that just because Big Government is grabbing power that CO2 emissions have no impact on the environment. Those who say global warming is a hoax are essentially declaring that mankind can pollute the atmosphere without consequence. This position serves the financial interests of the coal companies and coal-burning power plants, of course, who don't want to have to spend the money to clean up their emissions. It also happens to be the position of Big Business, which wants to pollute the planet without limitation.

The big chemical polluters in modern society are using well-known techniques of disinformation and distraction to try to convince people that polluting the air with CO2 emissions is harmless. This is the same position as the dental industry claiming mercury fillings are harmless, or Big Pharma claiming their pharmaceuticals have no impact on the water supply. Throughout the history of modern civilization, big corporate polluters have always claimed their chemicals are harmless and have no effect on the planet.

Meanwhile, our planet is dying. Biodiversity is plummeting. Species are being lost at an alarming rate. Deforestation is taking its toll. Dead zones are expanding across the oceans. Rainfall and drought patterns are shifting and leading to more "natural" disasters such as Australia's recent firestorm tragedy.

These are side effects of a global ecosystem out of balance, and it is humans who are disrupting this ecosystem more than any other single factor through runaway emissions of pollutants that affect the air, water and land.

I agree with the freedom-minded individuals who are concerned that Big Government will latch onto this crisis to confiscate even more of our freedoms. That is a very serious and legitimate concern. Yet the pollution of our atmosphere -- and the subsequent changes to our climate -- are very real, and virtually nothing is being done to put a halt to the burning of fossil fuels that threaten our world in the next few hundred years.

If you want my blatant prediction on what will happen with all this, here's my take on the situation:

1) Virtually nothing will be done to curb CO2 emissions. CO2 levels in the atmosphere will continue to rise over the next years or decades.

2) The planet's ecosystems will becoming increasingly imbalanced as a result, causing even more flooding and droughts. One difficult year of radical weather patterns will destroy much of the world's food supply, causing a food crisis.

3) In the aftermath of the food crisis, we will either see a mass starvation of human beings, or possibly an outbreak of global infectious disease that kills a billion people or more.

4) Either way, the human population will likely be reduced by at least a billion people in the next 50 years, through starvation or pandemic disease.

5) The human population will continue to be reduced through such processes until the emissions of humans reach a "stabilization point" where the planet can handle the level of pollution being produced.

In other words, government won't solve this problem, but Mother Nature will. There is absolutely no question that the current human population on the planet is a crazy fluke in the history of planet Earth. We are a short-term-thinking species that burns up all the fossil fuels in the blink of an eye, destroying our own planet and destroying ourselves in the process.

Human beings do not have the maturity to achieve sustainable life on planet Earth
Global warming is not a hoax. But in many ways, modern human civilization IS a hoax. Living on the precipice of sustainability, using up all the resources our planet has granted us, modern human beings demonstrate astonishing arrogance coupled with an infantile lack of vision.

From a big picture point of view, we act like little more than bacteria in a petri dish, experiencing a momentary population boom, eating up all the available food until overcrowding and pollution causes a massive die-off. Seemingly, we are more intelligent than bacteria on a person-to-person basis, and yet taken as a whole, the human species is no wiser than a colony of bacteria that consumes, reproduces and dies.

The human race has no vision, no maturity and no self discipline. It is a ragged band of selfish, greedy, short-term thinkers, and unless this changes, the human race has no real future on this planet or any other.

Do not focus your fear on whether Big Government is exploiting the global warming crisis for political gain. You should be far more concerned to discover that you are living among a population of numbskulls who eat, and poop and argue their way into the abyss of self destruction, oblivious to the fact that their everyday acts of consumption destroy the very world they claim to be protecting.

Of course, this guy usually makes sense. You let me know about his site, Virgil; I thank you for that.

When Alex Jones denies that the emissions are hurting the planet, he loses some credibility with me. In Endgame, he babbled on about social workers and their intentions. Well, I'm a retired social worker, and my sister's is an active social worker, and we know what he says about that is blatantly untrue (I could go on and on about protecting parental rights in Dependency Court, but I won't bore anyone).

The guy that runs Natural News, however, always makes sense.

Again, thanks for letting me know about him, Virgil, and his site.

I admire their creations more than them as creator. Alex Jones and Mike Adams are both informational blockade runners and give an outlet to people that have a message we need to hear, much like CounerPunch give an outlet to people from Cynthia McKinney, Ralph Nader, Castro, and Chavez and others.

I have gotten to where I like to listen to Alex Jones because he is so intense, but even he realizes the value of another style in detailing the beastful power structure of the planet and their aims. That is why Alex Jones hired Jason Bermas. Alex is right at 35 and Burmas is only 29. They are still learning and they both hunt down the best people that will talk to them. That is how Mike Adams got on and Alex Jones incorporates what he learns from Mike Adams, just like he does his other guest.

Listening to Alex Jones I discovered Professor Peter Dale Scott. In this interview you will hear Professor Scott disagree over some of the bullhorn remarks that will serve to hone what comes out of Alex Jones mouth in the future- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLamKWcXbOU

Mike Adams sees thing through the medical window and he is the best and all but faultless in everything he says. He wrote a book about curing diabetes where he said to drink a soy smoothie, which I find horrific coming from Mike Adams, but I doubt that he would even say that now.

But the more I listen to Alex Jones the more I like him as a personality and performer. He is always alive and enthused and he does have intellectual pursuit in understanding the global picture. He might be wrong occasionally and never in doubt, but that is part of who he is. He is after the Wealthy Rulers that have enslaved us and he and his are the best on the Internet at doing that. The NWO order forum on PI has benefited from Alex Jones and it will get better because of Alex Jones.

Alex Jones and Mike Adams are true patriots in my book and all hell on top of that. Their media outlets are extremely praiseworthy. They are both young pioneers of Internet media and men of great accomplishment. If people would listen to both of them we might get somewhere instead of a vaccination-induced toe tag.

I just checked inforwars.com and the last article posted is this one by Mike Adams. This illustrates the value of the Alex Jones media outlets, because so what if people say big things needed to reinvert the truth if nobody hears it.

I recently moved to Ecuador. Not for a vacation. Not for a month or two. I moved to Ecuador for good, as a permanent resident. Upon hearing my plans for living in South America, many people who knew me in the States asked things like, “Well what about the stability of Ecuador as a nation?” To which I would respond, “Oh, you mean the stability of banks that don’t make loans and don’t invest in derivatives? You mean the stability of a nation where the population still has the courage to march in the streets and throw corrupt officials out of its capitol?”

These questions make Americans pause. Most tend to think of public demonstrations as signs of a political instability. But in fact, public demonstrations are a sign of a healthy Democratic process. And Democracy is alive and well in Ecuador (with the usual level of corruption you find in any democracy).

It is in America, where the sheeple have been terrorized into staying inside the boundaries of their little “protest zones,” that you find a fragile, unstable nation.

Through complacency and fear-mongering, most Americans have become cowards when it comes to political activism. They think emailing their Senator a few times a year is all that’s required to defend freedom and preserve a nation. Marching in the streets is seen as uncivilized… or even unpatriotic! The government agrees with this, too, now labeling anyone who protests in public a “potential terrorist” and targeting them for FBI investigations. (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0%2C29…)

The multi-trillion-dollar theft scheme

In the mean time, while the sheeple of America are caught up in their hypnotic dreams of world domination, white-collar hoodlums in Washington D.C. and Wall Street are stealing everything!

The oft-repeated creation of $1 trillion in new money out of thin air by the Federal Reserve has made the U.S. dollar the laughing stock of the world. The leaders of the G20 nations have already decided to ditch the dollar and shift to other world reserve currencies, and China is now blatantly and publicly asking the U.S. put up some kind of collateral to back up future debt purchases, to which the U.S. says “Don’t worry about the debt. We’re good for it!”

And when $165 million in bonus money got paid to AIG employees, the tyrants in Washington demonstrated the true reach of their confiscatory punishment by enacting, within mere days, a 90% income tax rate on those bonuses. Sure, I agree those AIG executives deserve no bonus money, but the fact that the legislative branch of the U.S. government can reach out and hammer a targeted group of U.S. citizens with a retroactive 90% income tax rate should send shivers through any American that earns any income at all.

It has all taken on the caricature of a political circus. The perception around the world now is that America is not merely a land of the incompetent and the bankrupt; it’s also a land of fiscal buffoons and political puppets who have no real ability to save the crashing economy.

The Fed’s plan to increase the money supply 15-fold

But the real story starts to unfold when you realize the Federal Reserve is now hell bent on multiplying the U.S. money supply by a whopping fifteen times in 2009! This excellent article explains how this number is derived: http://www.marketskeptics.com/2009/…

Now think about this: If the Federal Reserve increases the U.S. money supply by a factor of fifteen, that means your dollars will be worth only 1/15th the value they represent right now. So a loaf of bread that costs a dollar right now could cost $15 when all this extra money ripples through the system. (Which will obviously take a couple of years, but 2009 will be the beginning of it.)

This is called “hyperinflation.” We’re talking about a loss of over 93% of the purchasing power of the dollar. That, my friends, is called a collapse of the currency.

And once it starts, the floodgates will be opened and the tsunami of investors and nations offloading dollars will be catastrophic and irreversible. By the time it’s all done, the dollar might end up losing 99.9% of its value, and you can use greenbacks to light a fire or wipe your back side, as they will be useless for anything else.

Why America’s currency — and government — is headed for total collapse

That’s why I say America’s days are numbered. The America as we know it, at least. This repeated creation of trillions of dollars in new money by the Federal Reserve is the last great looting of the U.S. economy by the wealthy elite. The Titanic is sinking, and high officials have monopolized the life rafts, leaving everyone else to drown with the ship. And while they’re rowing away from the doomed vessel that’s taking on water, they shout back to the low-income workers clinging to the rails, “Don’t worry! The ship isn’t really sinking. It’s just ‘correcting!’”

The truth is that America IS sinking — and it’s not just the currency I’m talking about here: America’s criminal health care system has sickened the population and outlawed any real healing practices, too. Meanwhile, the FDA and FTC have attempted to destroy all knowledge of natural remedies that can prevent and cure disease, further compromising the future of the American People.

On the dollars-and-cents side, America’s economy is a fictitious mish-mash of corporations selling poisons to the people, and people buying junk they don’t need, and everybody paying through the nose for disease care services that ultimately provide no net benefit to the population.

America’s infrastructure is crumbling, its industries are already gutted, and its exports resemble third-world agricultural nations more than first-world developed nations. Its political leadership is, with very few exceptions, a band of diseased, ignorant influence peddlers who sell out their constituents at every opportunity.

Perhaps more importantly, America has abandoned the principle of law. Laws no longer matter in America because they are selectively enforced only against those who threaten powerful institutions or corporations. America is no longer a nation of freedom and justice for all. Rather, it is a nation of greed and profit for the few, followed by oppression and bankruptcy for everybody else.

What’s coming soon for America

Given these circumstances, it is not difficult to predict the demise of America as we know it. The U.S. dollar will eventually collapse or be abandoned. This could happen literally overnight, or it could take years, but make no mistake: The American people will not be forewarned of the collapse of the dollar. It will be a sudden, surprise announcement, and all the politicians and banking elitists who engineered the whole thing will pronounce their “shock” that such a thing could happen! “We could never have predicted this,” they will insist, even while the whole thing was actually engineered by the very same people.

One day, Americans will wake up and discover that all banks are on “bank holidays” (which means that someone in Washington is taking a holiday with your money while YOU can’t access it).

Within hours, the National Guard will roll into the cities of the United States, and Americans will find themselves penniless prisoners in their own country. Anyone who protests will be arrested or shot. Law will be dispensed at the end of military rifles, and the President will get on television and explain how this is all being done for YOUR benefit! It’s for your own safety and protection, didn’t you know?

From here, it’s difficult to say exactly what will unfold. We could see UN troops on U.S. soil, the IMF taking over the U.S. banking system, and the forced transition to a global currency. Other possibilities include the Balkanization of the formerly-united States of America, with regional nation-states declaring their own independence from Washington.

During this chaos, just-in-time delivery of food and products will grind to a halt. Store shelves will be emptied. A healthy economy of barter will immediately spring up to fill the void. Those who have things to trade (toilet paper, butter, salt, sugar, matches, gold, silver, food, fuel, etc.) will eat. Those who don’t will starve. Health will plummet and infectious disease will become a very real threat in many cities. The conventional medical system will, of course, be utterly useless and will run out of medicine within days or weeks.

This economic transition chaos will be short-lived, however, and from the ashes of economic turmoil will spring a new nation (or nations) of People who have finally awakened from their complacency. New governments will be forged, and the fields of economic ruin will be ripe for the planting and sprouting of new ideas from a new generation of visionary leaders.

In my related article called How to Create A Healthy, Wealthy, Abundant Nation from the Ashes of America’s Demise, I discuss some advanced ideas of how new nation states might structure themselves in a way that creates lasting health, wealth and abundance for its citizens. Read that story on the other network I write for. Just enter the title shown above in the search box of the other website (NN).

climate change is the shock on deck - the imaginary bullpen.

"The correlation between electricity export and wind power production is very strong."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wind_power
This is a buried truth on wikipedia. It means if you support industrial wind power, you are supporting free trade chicago style - shock economics. The windfarms are a
part of the shock doctrine's economics.

Here, Lovelock, the gaia hypothesis dude, explains how the new wind power green
bullshitter lobby, is just another corporate facist tentacle of trained morons whos
deliberate design is to be a poison pill to leftist interests. Its a form of
brainwashing, this new green shit, and the next bubble is in the wind, baby,
its a renewables bubble.

sea level rise is a hoax:

Then we are being forced to finance a corporatist advance on rural areas in the
name of saving the planet - that is nothing but big energy development and
exploitation in its most ruthless - except this time it gets to call itself greenpeace
and have the pope declare them planet saviors.

If one thing more than any other is used to justify proposals that the world must spend tens of trillions of dollars on combating global warming, it is the belief that we face a disastrous rise in sea levels. The Antarctic and Greenland ice caps will melt, we are told, warming oceans will expand, and the result will be catastrophe.

Although the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) only predicts a sea level rise of 59cm (17 inches) by 2100, Al Gore in his Oscar-winning film An Inconvenient Truth went much further, talking of 20 feet, and showing computer graphics of cities such as Shanghai and San Francisco half under water. We all know the graphic showing central London in similar plight. As for tiny island nations such as the Maldives and Tuvalu, as Prince Charles likes to tell us and the Archbishop of Canterbury was again parroting last week, they are due to vanish.

But if there is one scientist who knows more about sea levels than anyone else in the world it is the Swedish geologist and physicist Nils-Axel Mörner, formerly chairman of the INQUA International Commission on Sea Level Change. And the uncompromising verdict of Dr Mörner, who for 35 years has been using every known scientific method to study sea levels all over the globe, is that all this talk about the sea rising is nothing but a colossal scare story.

Despite fluctuations down as well as up, "the sea is not rising," he says. "It hasn't risen in 50 years." If there is any rise this century it will "not be more than 10cm (four inches), with an uncertainty of plus or minus 10cm". And quite apart from examining the hard evidence, he says, the elementary laws of physics (latent heat needed to melt ice) tell us that the apocalypse conjured up by
Al Gore and Co could not possibly come about.

Faced with rising sea levels, the Maldives seek new homeland

Many scientists believe that, given enough political will, humanity can still manage to avoid catastrophic climate change. But the president-elect of the Maldives isn’t taking any chances.

Mohamed Nasheed, who was sworn in Tuesday as the Maldives’ first democratically elected president, says that rising sea levels threaten to inundate the tiny Indian Ocean island nation. He has announced plans for a fund to buy land elsewhere in the region, where the country’s population, estimated to be about 386,000, could rebuild their lives.

In an interview with the Guardian, Mr. Nasheed said that he is preparing for the worst:

“We can do nothing to stop climate change on our own and so we have to buy land elsewhere. It’s an insurance policy for the worst possible outcome. . . We do not want to leave the Maldives, but we also do not want to be climate refugees living in tents for decades,” he said.

Nasheed said that he is looking at land in India and Sri Lanka, because they have climates, cultures, and cuisines similar to that of the Maldives. He is also considering Australia, which has land to spare.

To pay for it, Nasheed says his government will set up a sovereign wealth fund, with revenues coming from tourism, the country’s most lucrative industry. The Guardian notes that 467,154 people visited the country, which is famed for its placid beaches, in 2006.

Sure, the maldives will take your money. The sea level hoax is perpetuated thusly.
