These brief interludes while we wait around for the changing of the guard are always nerve-wracking for me..
Well, we should get ready for phase 2.
They can't decide what to try on us next, I suppose. Time to re-configure the maze, and come up with a new cheese.

You mean the Bush-Clinton trade-off?

Ahhh. I hadn't thought about that. Yeah that fits. Good one.
No, there is a changing of the guard going on right now around the internets, as the infiltrators regroup and plan the next move. 20 or so usernames who had been posting dozens of posts everyday, and around whom swirled constant controversy and uproar, are suddenly competely silent for the last several days. At least one admin I talked to has identified it as an organized effort and is quietly taking steps behind the scenes.

I guess I don't get around.
Sometimes I look at DU and it's the same crowd of centrist party hacks remaining, arrogant and insulting, maintaining the status quo while the country goes down the tubes, given cover & free license by management-so they really define the place.
Over at Tinoire's, good piece by RichM. She has some Kucinich groupies with Right-wing roots and a lack of political evolvement that could present problems because she lets them throw their weight around and they are hostile to those who are less naive. I don't mind a novice but not when they are given permission and cover from management to bully. tlcandle or whatever her name is, is bad news in that respect. For the record, always liked AE.
Gossip quota for the day. ;-)

Where's that? I guess I don't get around.
Where is what? This isn't a spectator sport.
Let's just say for the sake of argument - and I doubt that anyone takes me seriously about any of this - but let's just make some hypothetical statements for the sake of argument -
IF any of this actually mattered; and IF there were powerful forces aligned against us; and IF we were in the fight for our lives; and IF we mattered, as the very few in the entire society who might stumble into some semblance of resistance in spite of ourselves and in spite of our bottomless naivety and stunning incompetency and blindness; and IF there were infiltrators steering and controlling us every step of the way (which would be child's play, we are so out of it); and IF here and there someone caught on and took steps...
If all of that were true, well then you certainly would not look at the charade at the boards hoping to see the drama all spelled out for you in the usual comic book fashion, and you certainly would understand that it would not be a good idea to spread around and reveal what had been discovered and what the counter-measures were.

I'm gonna carry on despite it.

Yes. That is the most important thing you can do. After all, distracting us or slowing us down is the goal.
