Solution: Become a CEO.

No, not everybody can do it, but there are plenty of people who can.

I work in a building of about 600 people. Probably 8%-10% have their own businesses on the side...everything from photography businesses to writing technical manuals to a liquor brand. Over the last decade or so, the markets have become increasingly friendly to entrepreneurship.

It doesn't take a truckload of money or great connections (though those DO help). All that's required is an idea and a lot of persistence...and almost ANYBODY can become a CEO.

was a CEO of his own BS company. When you called him on the phone you got a prompt where you stated your name and business. He didn't take "cold calls"

of our 2 person company. Drive a van with 200,000 miles on it, pay 30% of our income for crappy health insurance, and have next to no disposable income. Things are real friendly out there. What a Dick.

I need to find a board with some shareholders to give me more money, though, because selling second-hand clothes is not bringing me the riches I so clearly deserve.
