Is there a thread for new members to introduce themselves?

I'm an ex-Republican who stopped drinking the kool-aid around the time of the Iraq wars. I'm here to join the fight for the working class. And, if possible, help purge the entire world of robber barons and make it impossible for them to exploit any country.

I've got an idea, too... since the media goes out of its way to ignore Left-wing protests... why not have massive protests in front of their news HQ's? Stage our protests where it's impossible to ignore us. How might that work?

Gotta say that I personally am the guy who thinks all Hello World! posts are lame..but then I find every apology to be lame too. I've been told I'm a weirdo.

Anyway, you want massive leftist wing protests in every country..ok..those have actually started up for the first time in a long time. Getting from there to "purging every robber baron and exploiter from the face of the earth" is sort of the question that looms over everything else (but like rehab, you can't step skip. one foot in front of the other, one mile at a time. One inch at a time. Thats how history marches and we are obliged to follow suit)

Yeah, I know, the journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. :D I got here from the progressiveindependent.com forum. I've been looking for liberal forums. Tired of debating with right-wingers and free traders. I'm afraid for my kids and the world they're going to grow up into.

Its not really of the corny philosophy milieu -- such as you might on one of those stupid signs they hang in offices in strip malls.

Its more of a concrete thing: you say "I wanna change/save/reshape the world". Everyone else says "you and what army?" Or, more colloquially, sometimes the solution is to bring more dudes. How many we got right now?
