I listened to the entire speech! Everyone should read or listen. Look what he has done already! Instumental in getting our Congress changed, traveled giving speeches for candidates. He now is bringing the Generals together to speak out against the policies (votevets.com). He is the lead advisor to the House and Senate, I hear the Senators say Wes's words all the time.
I believe he is on a mission, and is turning up the dialog against the Bush Administration and getting the message to the PEOPLE. We are the only ones who can help him make a difference. I hope he decides to run, however, I know he is trying to corner in Bush to make a change in the policies on the War.
I think he will run, as he says, have patience!!! He said it in this speech!!! We have to restore our legitimacy of our Country. That is why he is traveling abroad, to bring hope to our allies.
Patience!

Dammit, I was going to post a 1000 word Wes Clark is God essay, totally serious and see if anybody bought it (can you imagine the hilarity if Mike took me seriously and came back with a huge reply ;)?)

Take your pick? I'll take Clark, not my first choice. In fact, I'm cozying up to the idea of Edwards but then I realize, it's got to be Gore :D

ROFL!
Remember when I posted that parody of how to form a liberal activist non-profit organization at PI, and a bunch of people were ready to sign up? One of the items was something like kiss ass to some rich people to get money and another was hook up with some real somebodies - big personalities - who can speak for us.

I don't remember that but I remember quite a lot of instances where PIers totally missed the point.
I don't recall where I first found this but, I saved it because of the hilarity value:
In a nation of plenty, it is absolutely criminal that people do not have easy access to the vegetables they need. Further, the cost of vegetables has become prohibitively high in many places. As a result, at least 45 million Americans fail to eat as many vegetables as the USDA recommends. Their inappropriate nutritional habits place a burden on the rest of us.
The vegetable provision mechanism in this country is woefully inefficient. If you only consider supermarkets, consumers have a choice of more than 127,000 different places to obtain their vegetables, all with different policies, store layouts, and checkout procedures.
It is also a travesty that in some places nameless and faceless private sector vegetable bureaucrats arbitrarily and capriciously limit you on the number of vegetables you can take into the checkout line. Why, some stores allow you to take 20 items into the express checkout line, while others restrict you to 10. There should be no restriction whatsoever. When you need to have your vegetables, you should be able to get them quickly, no questions asked. To have a store manager tell you which lane you have to go to? That is just unconscionable.
And need I say anything about the inefficiency of the system? Just take a look at their financial statements. Consider a large provider like Albertson’s. Fully 25 percent of their revenues go toward administrative expenses. Under a single payer vegetable system, this could be halved at least, maybe even eliminated altogether!
And how much money just gets shoveled into the hands of greedy vegetable executives? In 2005, the CEO of Albertson’s got paid a disgustingly large $16.4 million. If that money and the excessive compensation of others of his ilk had been used to reduce the cost of vegetables, millions would be able to enjoy a hearty feast of zucchini and rutabaga whenever they needed it.
Adam Jones, a New York City single payer vegetable activist, was quoted as saying "We know that the vegetable industry is infiltrating our discussions of the single payer issue. They are power hungry blood sucking scum, without any redeeming qualities, and their trollish behavior cannot be tolerated.
"It is inevitable," Mr. Jones continued, "that single payer vegetables will come to America. When it does, all Americans – not just the privileged few – will be able to enjoy a cornucopia of greenery, and no one will ever limit their dietary choices again. Then, we will have a just and fair society."
Some of the comments were as follows:
You should try alternative food sources. Grow your vegetables in your back yard. Then you can have as many as you like. Consider them homeopathic vegetables.
Carrots are still cheap. Carrots and celery and beets and radishes...
All still very cheap. Easy to plant, too, and hard to kill. Oh, and tomatoes! Tomatoes grow well in all American climates, and are chock full of good nutritional stuff. Plus you can grow them on the rooftop or the balcony if you live in the city, the bushes are nice looking and fragrant (some might say pungent) and you get a good yield if you plant early.
