Recent mailing from our Center. Saturday's event looks like it may have thousands of participants. The immigrant community still believes that there is hope in the Democratic Party. We have dozens of leaders in our membership that haven't experienced the failure of electoral politics. I don't do anything to encourage their analysis, but they have to get there on their own. This will, by itself, go nowhere. We have some members ready to escalate, but many are so afraid. Believe me, the cops are arresting everyone they can for what ever reason they can think of. The power of this event is that people can feel safe, because if any cop or boss attacks they will be extremely sorry.
