The AFL-CIO Convention in September took an important turn to reposition unions toward speaking for all working people in the U.S. This was a correction to the narrow focus on its dues-paying members and traditional electoral work..

Hmm, nearness of death has a way of consentrating thought. These measures might be helpful but are no substitute for membership at the means of production, the decisive point.
