I have been having this weird exchange with folks purporting to be "Marxists/Communists". The whole concept of which class rules and which class is subjugated seems alien to them somehow. How do you get a "Marxist" who doesn't "get" class? This one person keeps saying that there are differences between bourgeois governments, and I said, yeah, but the only difference that matters to the working class is which class rules. Then this "communist" guy says well, their are differences between proletariat states and bourgeois states!

I have no idea what this is all about, but the usefulness of twitter is a big question to me. It seems to be a good source for news and current breaking events, but otherwise it appears to be a dead-end.

I don't really use my personal Twitter, and I don't understand the political "scene" on social media. Any worthwhile post gets lost in some weird personal branding. I'm not sure if these Twitter leftists are any less lame than the "Alt-Right" forums on Reddit.

Amusing anecdote: Over the summer I crashed at some dude's house in Missouri. He turned out to be some internet meme that went viral from InfoWars. Apparently he would get 100 phone calls a day from Alt-Right messageboard-ers.

All sorts of wack jobs, not a few on my timeline either. Can be hard to sort out, say some reasonable stuff then wtf? I try to give benefit of the doubt, allow for youth & all that & frankly sometimes I don't know what they're saying at all. What the hell is this 'dad' shit, for example?('Daddio' I can hang with...) Blame Jacobin for some of it, they got 'left' twisted up and think Zizek is a genius. Apparently there all kinds of misdirection & distraction in places I never go and wouldn't know about but for Red Kahina et al. No cell, no wifi, I fear I'm falling completely out of touch and that ain't good for this endeavor but I so don't care about that stuff, whadda conundrum.
