Ever notice how American liberals love to tout the virtues of "liberal democracy" in the US of A - as opposed to the "undemocratic" or "illiberal" (the horror!) political systems of "non-Western" societies? (the same societies that are considerably less poor and less white than the "West" - a mere coincidence, I'm sure...)

Is not the contemporary alarmist shit from libs about how "Islam" is "fundamentally incompatible" with "Western values" and so therefore needs to be "liberalized" or "Reformed" (where are ole' Marty Luther or Johnny Calvin when you need' em? Fuckin' flaky Prots, always splintering into a million different groups over the slightest petty little argument..say, isn't that what Trots do? And "Prot" rhymes with "Trot?" Hmm....ok, end of digression) the exact same utterly repulsive, racist, colonialist and imperialistic "White Man's Burden" trope about how the "poor, ignorant, uncivilized heathens and barbarians" of the "Third World" need a White (emphasis) Knight to "teach" them the "virtues" of "liberal democracy"? (also known as the subjugation of the entire world to capitalism, preferably the most brutal, savage, inhumane, and horrific form - in other words, capitalism's "natural state" in which the burden is entirely upon so-called reformers to justify even the slightest changes that would make capitalism somewhat more "humane".) Man, I should make a shirt that says "Same Shit, Different Century" with juxtaposed images of Chris Columbus and Barry Obama above...now that would be a decent goddamn investment, if ya ask me. See, I can be a capitalist "entrepreneur" too! *eye-roll*

I suppose that we saw the apex of this phenomenon during the Cold War, when those "godless Commies" or "Ruskies" refused to convert to liberal capitalism because they were simply not as "culturally advanced" to comprehend just how fucking awesome American-style "democracy" was. Or so the liberal Cold Warriors told themselves, time and time again. Shit, if anything I have a molecule of grudging respect (if you could call it that) for the assholes of the extreme Right (you know, Trump and the thugs who love the fucker) because they are much more transparent and open about their racism, sexism, misogyny, and other forms of right-wing chauvinism and bigotry toward the "losers" of capitalism than the Only Fooling Themselves crowd a.k.a liberals or "progressives" are. When Trump and his cronies rant about "losers" and anyone else who dare oppose them, challenge them, or call them on their despicable speech, they are merely revealing for the entire world to see what all of the capitalists really think about the "stupid, uneducated proles" but are too cowardly to say in public. Trump is what happens when the Veil of Civility is ripped off the entire fucking face of the bourgeoisie. I don't reckon there's any going back from here...

Anywho, to put this post in less verbose terms:

"Look at all the poor plebs in those Third World shitholes...it's a damn shame that they do not have any of the economic opportunities or political freedoms that we Americans all enjoy...we're so very fortunate to live in such a great country...say Dave, do you smell that?
