The driving force for the continued wave of violence carried out by police forces throughout the country is the breakdown of the capitalist system and the reemergence of class struggle. The ever growing inequality plaguing cities such as Chicago and, thus, the ever growing hostility of workers towards the capitalist system, puts them in direct confrontation with the ruling class and the state.

There will be no let-up in police brutality, murder and torture until the working class falls back in line. How can the bosses make them get back in line? The bourgeoisie ain't going to give up any money, period. There won't be another WWII - not with everybody packing nukes. Terrorism just isn't a big enough threat to workers - terrorists don't seem to strike much at lower class targets (maybe they will start). Without a draft you can't really have a big enough war to be "class capturing". And no one appears willing to send their children to die for the bosses - all big problems.

The easiest solution looks to be the old Robber Baron solution of the 1890s: hire half the working class to kill the other half. Hence, murderous cops, local governments that 'look the other way', national government that "deplores" the bloodshed and blames the victims, and slowly seething working class building pressure. Yep, sounds like the 1890s to me...if we only had real anarchists...

Yeah, riots at both conventions would be good, followed by lowest turnout in history. That would set the tone nicely. But don't think Bernie's kids got it in them, hope I'm wrong. Trump's fans appear to be itching for a rumble but it will probably be mis-directed.
