I find this disturbing (I was thinking of buying that car, but ultimately decided it out of my price range, plus there's much better stuff coming down the line) Volkswagen sold a car in Europe that got 78 MPG (the Lupo). I believe in Europe VW sells other cars that get much better miles to the gallon than the Jetta.

I would have voted for the Prius, also I think either Honda, or Toyota makes a natural gas powered car that's supposed to be good.
