I like to say the messiah is on its way because every time my 56 year old truck stops on its stock drum brakes, its a miracle.
That aint shit.
Seeing signs of life among Edwards supporters today, I realize some serious shit is going on in the cosmos. Severe genetic defects, or products of Ron's much vaunted dumping of mental patients? Tough call without some DNA samples, but lets go with the notion that anyone can still support what was the most obvious stalking horse candidacy of all time, WELL BEFORE any inquiring minds asked a question, the false response to which will most certainly doom a human life to self-destruction. So, since I didnt need Edwards to be busted for an affair and illegitimate child to see through his charade, what possible excuse can there be for anyone to think Edwards was ever sincere about anything besides the IWR and shutting down real progressive discussion about the top two topics facing American voters? Being the illegal wars claiming lives by the score daily, and the healthcare crisis that "Top tier" Democrats were eager to keep in the hands of the insurance industry that created it.

Now, in light of LCD modern political theater, some heinous albeit late (far too late) admissions of paternity, and the panapoly of bogus values issues that both "sides" base their campaigns on, what motherfucker in his right mind would appreciate Edwards participation at this point in history?

None, of course, but lets not end the discussion by blaming mental imbalance on the part of these alleged Edwards faithful.
I think the faith based belief aspects of voter allegiences should be examined, as it is a far more genuine influence on a corrupt, stolen process than some mislaid class identity questions as seems to be all the rage in some quarters.

There is a lot to point out about Edwards role and the reality of his candidacy and policies, but it is most significant to observe the past programs of voter condemnation from centrist Democrats who blamed only Ralph Nader for the selection of GW Bush. While the suckers who got played against a rising tide of antiwar/antiBush voter sentiments in the 2008 theft basically worked for the current program of continuing imperial policies as agreed upon by both parties well before GW became a viable nightmare. By backing a stalking horse candidate with nice hair and a great smile, voters spent more time masturbating than thinking about what real justice in a new administration would require. Nothing to worry about once the debates were narrowed down to the DLC dream cabinet which we now have in place.

Goddamn the idiots who chose an obviously phony candidate because they were sold PR notions of electability like the foolish frightened remedial school children they are. And what to do with people deluded enough to still think anything was respectable about this affront to decency named John Edwards?
No pity from me for these saps. I will drink their blood.
