That's awesome. We're thinking of going to the G8 in Chicago in May, I may have to carry a sign for a change :)

The worst thing is that most cannot concieve that, at least until poverty becomes their circumstances, and some saps not even then. "The poor will always be with us" means that "the rich will always be with us" too. Well, fuck that.

True enough. But keep in mind this graffiti was in Oakland, not Wall Street. For Oakland Occupy it's like nailing theses on a wall. It probably wouldn't have shown up in Zuccotti park.

Check out this one from London. (prepare to roll your eyes)

Democratise Capitalism!

I think the interpretation of that phrase is 'demolish capitalism!' And yeah, I couldn't refrain from a wee bit o' eye roll...

First impulse is to mutter about the long, long road but that ain't necessarily so. Never know when there's gonna be a big sale on rope. Who could imagine Occupy, for all of it's faults, five years ago? What next? What does frustrate is that opportunities might be missed for lack of preparation.

I saw a dude with a "RECLAIM CAPITALISM" sign in Zucotti. Wearing a suit. Being interviewed by network news. Barf.

The paid media will always flock to the least negative (to their masters) that they can find. I heard NPR this morning hawking for war against Iran. The npr person was speaking to the Iranian ambassador to somewhere. He asked (paraphrase): "Wouldn't it be more beneficial to your people to acquiesce to US demands, rather than have them suffer by opposing the US?" I am not kidding, the piece of shit actually asked this. The Iranian said something like, "We will not submit to an aggressor, but will stand by our rights as a sovereign nation. Blah, blah..." The npr cretin did not seem to grasp what his question implied, not just about the US, but about how he, the npr cretin, thought of the US and the world. I can hear the Chicago cops telling some shop owner, "Just pay Capone the protection money - do you want to have your shop burned down?"

I saw a bunch of them, most of whom had lost their suits for the day but they couldn't lose their haircuts... or their shoes. It is a beginning but it is important to cut that 99% down to a workable 92.5% or so.

Who thinks the biggest problems center on the lack of participatory democracy, anyway? Why not the lack of affordable cherries? Seems like a wash, to me.

I wonder what "Reclaim Capitalism" means? If one of these "protesters" could give a definition for that phrase, what would it be?

You sir, have not done your dues at that other place. That is a not uncommon sentiment among the clueless liberals.

Marxists simply don't understand capitalism, are cultists(of personality?), are 'true believers'........

Irony is an inadequate word.

I lifted the poster and have it prominently displayed over in me and Starry's room at DU. Have only gotten compliments, but it is a small room :) Thanks very much for posting it D.
