This tragedy is entirely similar to numerous events in the late 19th-early 20th century, not surprisingly so, the perp is the same. Capitalism never really 'cleans up it's act', it is incapable of doing so. The horrors which impelled workers attain a modicum of saftey and respect here were never abolished, just removed 'out of sight'.
