More than 300 aftershocks recorded and Spanish Red Cross says as many as 100,000 people may need assistance
The death toll from the 7.8-magnitude earthquake (http://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/apr/17/ecuador-earthquake-230-killed-magnitude-seven-point-eight) in Ecuador has risen to 350, and many survivors are believed to still be trapped inside collapsed buildings.
The security minister, César Navas, announced the updated toll and said rescuers were continuing to seek more victims and survivors.

The group of Cuban specialists will arrive in Ecuador to assist with the rescue and care for victims of the earthquake of 7.8 occurred in that nation.
A brigade with more than 50 people, including doctors and specialized rescue workers in disaster, left Cuba to Ecuador on Sunday night to assist those affected by the earthquake.

The composed of 26 doctors specializing in disaster situations and serious epidemics "Henry Reeve" and 25 members of a rescue team, they started with a first aid disposable materials and medicines, enough for a month of work in emergency conditions group.

Cuba's contribution adds to the more than 700 health staff working permanently in Ecuador, the state newspaper Granma, which illustrates this aid as an example of the "solidarity and support to the Government and brother Ecuadorian people," said by the Caribbean country.

Cuban officials, including Deputy Minister of the Armed Forces, Ramon Espinosa; the head of the Civil Defense, Ramon Pardo, and Health Minister Roberto Morales, dismissed the brigade, composed of employees from the western provinces of Havana, Matanzas and Pinar del Rio.

Humanitarian aid

Bolivia's government on Sunday sent a Hercules C-130 military platform Air Force with humanitarian aid, in solidarity with Ecuador by the recent earthquake that rocked the Andean nation.

The device was sent humanitarian aid and rescue workers who collaborate in the work of caring for victims and wounded by the disaster caused by an earthquake of 7.8 on the Richter scale.

The official death toll after the earthquake of 7.8 that shook Ecuador increased to 350, as reported by the security minister of that nation, Cesar Navas Monday.

The official said that still continue the rescue of victims of the earthquake that struck the Pacific coast and left more than 1550 injured.
