It turns out I may not be as productive as I thought during the rainy season

I hope this was only a fluke but we had the second thunderstorm of the rainy season 2 days ago (the season is just beginning, taper stage, and lasts until November).

I tried to post a thread but it was impossible because the power kept going out.

Finally, on the fourth attempt I gave up.

Then we lost the water for 30-some hours. Thankfully I've got a Culligan with 3 spare water bottles and something called a Pila

Mine looks nothing like that lol- I have the poor man's version below

Jeez what a lifesaver. Mayans use them to wash laundry or babies (left side with ridges) and wash dishes (right side, no ridges). The middle is always full of cool water.

What a lifesaver that was. This morning I even got an outdoor 'shower', when the water went out again, thanks to it!

I was so excited when the water came back on, I cleaned most of the house from top to bottom, washing curtains, scrubbing floors, scrubbing bathrooms until they shone...

Life here is something else... Once a week the goat man stops by and I buy $5 worth of goat milk from him (about a gallon). He stopped by this morning so I made a kind of ice cream (with goats milk, avocado, macadamia nuts).

The best part is I got a new puppy! An awful, awful man was beating this little puppy on the street so I jumped out of my tuk-tuk, cussed him out and when the puppy came to me, he walked away throwing his hands up in the air at a loca gringa bothering him about cruelty to a puppy. Not hesitating a moment, I jumped back into my tuk-tuk, took her to the vet to get checked out and brought her home.

It's critter season, this is the time of year when a lot of stuff moves. It's the best time of year for a deviant like myself to be in your neck of the woods.

Just a heads up......;>)

It's been over a week now. I had no idea the older one could be such a grouch. He snaps at her for no reason all day long- like he's all grown up or something now. Still, I keep hoping. At least he doesn't attack her.

Lol, it's hilarious. Thankfully there are much crazier ones down here so I won't get that title. I've never seen so many expat wastrels assembled in one place. Half the gringo population does nothing but drink all day. I don't get it  I mean I enjoy my drinks but all damn day? One day I'll take pics of some of them ;)

mikita Hi Mikita! I'm so delighted to see you! Evie's so sweet I wish I could package her charm. Is that your dog in your profile pic? What gorgeous eyes.
