Can the peace movement make the 2016 elections a referendum on war and peace?
Last August, Senator Rand Paul called Hillary Clinton a 'war hawk' in an interview on NBC's Meet the Press (8-24-14). Coming from a presidential contender of the GOP, the other party of war, it's newsworthy. For peace activists it's old news. "If you wanna see a transformational election, let the Democrats put forward a war hawk like Hillary Clinton."

Paul implies he is an anti-interventionist, perhaps intending play to his libertarian base.
