I love you like a younger brother but I can't take this anymore. What I've
been doing comes at too great a price to my peace of mind and safety to let
anyone belittle people who see things differently and alienate them instead
of working to educate them patiently.

I'm losing friends left and right mortally and you piss off too many of the
people we're trying to reach AS WELL as many of the people working with us
who you assume back you for your conclusions but don't because of your
approach.

Thursday, a close friend was found duct-taped all over his body and floating
in an Austin Lake. My other dear friend is now front page on CAMERA'S
website and a leading target for the IDF. While I may love you for
supporting their ideas and their fight, I can't tolerate the way you prevent
more people from crossing over to our side.

You and I share the same views on what's wrong with this country and what
changes we want but we don't share the same views on how to bring people to
our side. I feel it's best you not post at PI where you seem to take more
glee in stirring up the pot than converting anyone, not unless you can
seriously change your tolerance level.

You live in the relative safety of American comfort where you haven't pulled
dead family members out of ditches, dead from political reprisals which is
something I had to do as a child in Haiti. You and I don't mesh at PI and
I'm determined, now more than ever, to get it back on track as an antiwar
site. I need you to either work with me towards that end or go for it your
way at PopIndy or your own blog. I've talked about this at length with
Leftchick and we both feel the same.

If you want to discuss this, please write back or call me so we can find a
middle ground.

It's not just you. I turned off AE's account without even a note and will
turn off any other accounts that aren't on the same sheet of music.

It was never meant to be anarchist heaven or third party heaven- just an alternative to DU where the rules didn't enable the DLC's hold on the Democratic party.

Both LC and I are very tolerant about talking with anarchists, socialists and other groups who don't believe in the system and about allowing them a place to post their point of view but PI's main goal was to get away from the type of lock-step march that delivers votes to the Democratic Party whether they represent the people or not.

These days I feel Obama is representing more people (hence his stunning success that has a lot of people gnashing their teeth).

The more I think about it, the more I think we do need to revamp the forum somehow so that people who support the Democratic Party feel comfortable posting here.

If you look at our main page you'll see

My main concern has always been getting rid of the DLC cancer on the Dem Party. I'm not out to reinvent the wheel from scratch because we'll all die before we see a new wheel. The main concern was a place where everyone is comfortable to post.

To be very frank, I get very angry when I see people looking down on people who still support Democratic Party Politicians. This isn't directed at you DB but your post gave me a perfect opening because it doesn't make me mad.

PI is primarily an antiwar forum where we'd hoped all antiwar voters would feel welcome to work together and push for that issue. It's not a third party forum or a no-party forum.

We're looking at the contention very closely right now because I'm not going to invest my energy into a forum where I feel people who don't share our goals are abusing our tolerance for different views by dictating what's accepted here and what's not.

Good lord. Nothing surprises me anymore over there. After I recently realized some of the only posters I agreed with lately were sweetheart and AE of all people, I knew up was down and black was white. Election year, when push comes to shove and desperation kicks in, true test of people's character. Partisan chumps can equivocate all day long but those who speak the painful truth get booted. Fucking lovely.

I suppose I better keep avoiding that place or I'll get shitcanned too.
