5.14am GMT
Reuters reports that the death toll from the Bataclan concert venue, where previously as many as 120 people had been reported dead, could now be 87.
With around 40 others killed at other locations around Paris, this could take the overall death toll to at least 120.
A Paris city hall official said four gunmen systematically slaughtered at least 87 young people attending a rock concert at the Bataclan music hall. Anti-terrorist commandos eventually launched an assault on the building. The gunmen detonated explosive belts and dozens of shocked survivors were rescued.
Some 40 more people were killed in five other attacks in the Paris region, the city hall official said, including an apparent double suicide bombing outside the national stadium, where Hollande and the German foreign minister were watching a friendly soccer international.

We are going to lead a war which will be pitiless. Because when terrorists are capable of committing such atrocities they must be certain that they are facing a determined France, a united France, a France that is together and does not let itself be moved, even if today we express infinite sorrow.

We shall see how long it takes them to turn this into a casus belli against Syria. Won't be long, Syrian passport 'found' near body of dead perp. How careless of him....

When my wife heard about the passport, she said, "These guys were hidden inside the flood of refugees over this past year. ISIS probably has hundreds of these guys all over Europe by now."

She did not go directly to "blame Syria", but the media will. If France is actually going to send in the Foreign Legion, it will be into Syria and then all bets are off. Once NATO troops invade Syria, which now seems likely, what will be Russia's response? How will it be handled? This could really go south hard.

Increased pressure on Russia to lean on Syria, did I see Lavrov talking about a unity government in Syria in six months? Unity with who?

Still don't think anyone is looking for direct powers conflict but it's gonna get crowded in there and shit might get crazy. Fuck if I know but there's gonna hafta be a serious appearance of ISIS getting it's ass kicked, territorial losses included. Bunch of different kinds of deals might be made, Turkey is the loose cannon for NATO, Erdogan might have to go too.

From the series, "What, so you could?".
After the terrorist attack in Paris, French police rushed eagerly scour the Muslim enclaves, suburbs full of migrants, disadvantaged areas, etc. and immediately poured a stream of reports captured extremists with dozens of arrests and seized explosives and trunks, a pile of illegal migrants and other amenities. Apparently without the Parisian kick in any way, though probably as always dig at the top, and the same enclaves where the police at night afraid to go are not going anywhere, and as the workers went so will go.

However, during this weeding, the French managed to catch those who participated in the executions in Paris, but so far avoided acquaintance with law enforcement. And again, not without shooting - in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis in the morning turned dense skirmish, during which the police had several 300x + wounded one civilian, while the terrors 2 200x + one woman blew herself wearing a suicide belt during the storm did not want to give up captured. Three people were arrested. I suspect that if the French will continue with the same zeal to check that they have going on in the cities with Islamic extremists (local and visiting), they will still a lot of wonderful discoveries.

Heavy gunfire this morning in Saint-Denis. The picture is more usual for example in Chechnya, Ingushetia and Dagestan, but times have changed and now like in Paris is not particularly surprising.

The US/NATO Empire is "leveling" the world. Not sure if the provinces are really liking it much...
