Some time ago we were discussing "Eurocommunism" and I commented that things were very complex in Italy. The truth was that no matter what I thought, the workers loved Berlinguer and the PCI. I was looking for but couldn't find this famous video of his funeral in 1984. I just tripped across it today.

If I remember rightly, you told the Berlinguer story alongside a discussion of the Minoans. I remember watching this video too, it is unreal.

Yes, he is a porker... but, Berlusconi was something different. He had the unusual ability to stop time. Super Mario is ordinary by comparison and the fact that he was installed by the EU Banker Party will not go down well. I am betting that time restarts in Italy.

Berlusconi claims he is not done yet. We shall see.

Yes... Italy has been a nonstop tragedy since the liquidation of the PCI. I am "hoping", in Obama-speak.

Besides which, they have to get their shit together. The Greeks need them.
