for your consideration, article and video about the article, (question: are people capitalizing on the crisis via Marx. he does seem to be the topic du jour? Or is this to be taken as a good sign?)

The article and video are mostly bullshit but they are right that Marx is "thoroughly modern". The economics alone is dead on, ignoring the fact that the "Liberals and Conservatives" have no ideology other than HOPE and political fantasies. Let them say what they like. Ten years ago, you could count the number of Marxists left on your hands and toes. Suddenly, it is a vast field of wheat. We'll let the harvesters decide what is kernel and what is chaff.
Stay tuned for the neo-legitimization of Marx: "He was a brilliant economist and philosopher but a flawed prognosticater..." quack, quack, yadda, yadda...

Thanks, I really wasn't too impressed by either, too pat and too much "Marx would say..." some kind of hubris or conceit there. This was posted in a discussion group by someone who I usually admire, but sans comment, so maybe it was just a dry post, fyi here's some more Marx from the blue, ...Weird place for the article, if they are going to start co-opting Marx, it would be real nice to believe folks will go to the source, but wikepedia is about it these days...I did kind of think the interviewer seemed either shamefully clueless or disingenuous...for what that's worth...
