Damascus Countryside, SANA- Authorities discovered on Sunday IEDs, land mines, various kinds of shells , Saudi-made toxic materials, and a network of connected tunnels and trenches left over by terrorists, while canvassing the towns of Yalda and Babila in south Damascus.

SANA’s correspondent reported that the engineering units continued canvassing BeitSahem, Babila and Yalda towns and the surrounding farms, from which terrorists have been evacuated to northern Syria.

The authorities in collaboration with the locals discovered a number of IEDs, a mix of anti-tank and anti-personnel mines, grenades and protective masks used during making chemicals.

Some of the founded mines were designed for use against humans which are usually mines with pin-detonating fuses or threads, , containing high explosives (HE) made in Saudi Arabia and meant to target civilians, the correspondent added.

While combing the town of Babila, the engineering units discovered a trench connected with a extending from the center of the town towards Saydi Miqdad neighborhood that terrorists dug under the houses.

Sosan: Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity red lines

5 June، 2018

Damascus, SANA- Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister Ayman Sosan said on Tuesday that sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Syria are red lines.

Meeting the European Parliamentary delegation, who is currently visiting Syria, Sosana added that any foreign presence without the consent of the Syrian state is illegal and all that is resulting from it is null because it is an occupation and constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter.

He said that the successive achievements of the Syrian Arab Army in combating Takfiri terrorism are a victory for humanity.

In turn, members of the delegation expressed their support to Syria in confronting terrorism.

They slammed the EU polices towards Syria and affirmed that they will convey the true image of what is happening in Syria for the western public opinion.
The development of situation in Syria was also discussed during the meeting.

The delegation is headed by President of the Alliance for Peace and Freedom (APF) Roberto Fiore and includes a number of European parliamentarians and politicians from Belgium, Croatia and Slovakia.

Damascus, SANA-Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said the illegitimate US-led International Coalition has been targeting civilians in the villages of al-Hasaka, Raqqa and Deir Ezzor as a retribution for their refusal to join US-allied separatist militias.

In a letter addressed to the UN Secretary-General and President of the United Nations Security Council, the ministry lambasted the Coalition’s incessant aggressions targeting innocent Syrian civilians and Syria’s sovereignty, safety and territorial integrity.

Citing a slew of atrocities the Coalition perpetrated in the villages of al-Hasaka, which left scores of civilians dead and many others injured, the ministry said the attacks are intended to punish the locals for their reluctance to join separatist militias allied to the United States.

According to the letter, the US has been restructuring relations with Daesh terrorists, integrating some within these militias and using others in mounting attacks against the Syrian Arab army’s sites with a view to recapturing areas the Syrian army and allies have liberated from terrorism.

The letter said the Coalition had not balked at providing overt military backing to Daesh terrorists against the Syrian army, the latest of which was on May 24 when its warplanes targeted military outposts for the Syrian army between al-Bukamal and Humaima in Deir Ezzor countryside 24 hours after the Syrian army managed to abort Daesh attack against these sites.

The Coalition’s sole aim is to undermine Syria’s sovereignty, safety and territorial integrity and prolong the crisis in it which contravenes the UN Security Council’s resolutions, added the letter.

The ministry urged the Coalition’s member country to pull out of this “outrageous coalition,” calling on the UNSC to assume its responsibilities in preserving international peace and security and take immediate action to end its massacres.

The letter also called for terminating the illegal US and foreign presence on the Syrian territories and to call a halt to the US plans in support of terrorism.

“The US hostile polices in Syria, the region and the world lack ethical grounds because it has become part and parcel of the threats which endanger international peace and security,” the ministry’s letter concluded.

Syria, Russia Warn Of Potential Chemical Weapons False Flag Staged By US, Terrorists

JUNE 5, 2018

By Brandon Turbeville

As Syria prepares to liberate the southwestern portion of the country still held by Western-backed terrorists, the United States is repeatedly threatening “firm and appropriate” responses against the Syrian government, proving yet again that the U.S. is nothing more than al-Qaeda’s air force. However, while most of the world has come to the conclusion that the biggest threat to peace and stability is actually America, not Syria or Iran, the public of the United States and Western Europe continue to somnambulently absorb the propaganda spewed by their governments and corporate media outlets.

This then provides the world with an ever-present danger since the West is able to propagandize its own populations so successfully regarding false flag chemical weapons, tales of Assad “killing his own people,” and other “crimes against humanity” perpetrated by the Syrian government against civilians in order to whip up support for another more intense military adventure. This narrative has been used repeatedly not just on the Western populace but also the member states of the United Nations, firmly ensconced in the deeply corrupt and agenda driven institutions who are themselves part of the Atlanticist UN.

Indeed, the “chemical attack” narrative has been used repeatedly in both administrations to justify war crimes, crimes against humanity, and imperialist military assaults against the secular and sovereign government of Syria.

This is why fresh warnings coming from Russia and Syria over the possibility of yet another staged chemical attack in Syria should be taken seriously and watched carefully.

According to a report by Arabi Souri of Syria News, the Syrian National Committee on Implementing the Chemical Weapons Convention is warning that the United States is preparing a new false flag chemical attack to use as a justification for an attack on Syria.

The SNCCWC, according to a statement provided to Syria News, stated:

‘Families were brought from areas under SDF control to the illegal base set by the USA in the al-Jafra Oil field northeast of Syria where they have been trained for about 5 days on how to act like the fake chemical attack in Douma’ the committee citing reliable information in its possession.

The SNCCWC told SANA (Syrian Arab News Agency) that ISIS will act in coordination with the SDF and U.S. forces in the base in order to stir up provocations with the SAA near the al-Jafra oil field. Specifically, a false flag chemical attack will be staged in a village near the oil field.

As Arabi Souri writes,

It will be the 3rd time the current regime of Donald Trump to use a false flag chemical attack to justify, in its opinion, an attack on the Syrian state and its armed forces. The first such bombing was carried out by the Trump regime alone against the SAA’s al-Shuayrat Air Base in April 2017, claiming to be in retaliation for a false flag chemical attack carried out in the town of Khan Sheikhoun in Idlib province northwest of Syria, and the second one with its accessories in NATO crimes the UK and France against research centers and multiple posts of the SAA in the country on April 14th, last month, and this time claiming to be in retaliation of the false flag chemical attack carried out in Douma, Damascus Countryside. Both false flags were exposed, but that doesn’t stop the pariahs ruling the USA, France, and Britain from continuing their crimes.

The warning comes as Russia highlighted “suspicious movements” of “militant groups” in the area of al-Tanf, near the US military base there.

“We have plenty of reports about strange things happening in the Al-Tanf area,” Sergei Lavrov said. “This area has no particular military value in terms of fighting terrorism. And in practical terms, we see a rise of presence in the region of militant groups, including those we believe to be connected with Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) in this or that way, including in the Rukban refugee camp.”

“This zone was created under manufactured justification with no military necessity,” he said. “If [the Americans] are arriving at the same conclusions, I expect this to translate into a practical implementation.”

Lavrov pointed out that, while he saw no indications that the U.S. was preparing to withdraw from Tanf, he would welcome their doing so.

Back on March 3, the Russian Defense Minister, Alexander Fomin, said that the United States was using its Special Forces operatives based in al-Tanf near the Iraqi border to create a “reserve for terrorists.”

As al-Masdar News writes,

Despite repeated promises to fully withdraw from their garrison at Al-Tanf, US special forces remain embedded throughout a 55 kilometer by 55 kilometer area throughout the region with recent reports suggesting that an additional six hundred American operatives are to be moved there.

Syrian pro-government forces who attempt to enter the US security perimeter near Al-Tanf are subject to airstrikes by coalition warplanes.

The Russian Ministry of Defense called out the US base as a “black hole” region that terrorists were able to use as their own base. The RT report from October, 2017 states,

The 100km area around the US Al-Tanf base near the Syrian-Jordanian border has become a “black hole” which ISIS terrorists use to carry out attacks against Syrian troops and civilians, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The base, set up by the US in April 2017 near the border town of Al-Tanf, is becoming a problem for Syrian troops combatting Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) terrorists in Deir ez-Zor province, the statement says.

“Unlawful establishment by the US of this military base on Syria-Jordan border in April this year has been publicly justified by ‘the need to conduct operations against IS,’” the statement reads.

However, “there were no reports of a single American operation against Islamic State during the six months of its existence,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.

“Though the Pentagon repeatedly claimed that the base is used to train the so-called ‘New Syrian Army’ by the coalition instructors from the US, the UK and Norway,” it has become “a 100-kilometer black hole” on the Syria-Jordan border, the statement added.

The ministry also accused the US of not letting humanitarian convoys through the area to reach the Rukban refugee camp, which is located close to the base.

The camp is reportedly hosting around 60,000 women and children from Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor.

The refugees in Rukban serve as a “human shield” for the American base, the ministry’s spokesman, Major-General Igor Konashenkov, said.

On August 8, 2016 the BBC published photographs and reported on yet another illegal incursion into Syria by Western NATO forces and yet another violation of Syrian national sovereignty by the U.K. This time, the photographs showed British Special Forces operating on the ground inside Syria in al-Tanf, near the Syrian-Iraq border, an area that is also near the Jordanian border.

The pictures themselves date back to June of this 2016 and appear to have been taken shortly after a battle at al-Tanf between the New Syrian Army and ISIS, both Western-backed terrorist organizations. The British soldiers were photographed allegedly setting up a perimeter in order to guard the NSA base from further incursion by ISIS.

As the BBC reports,

According to eyewitnesses, they were there in a defensive role. But they are carrying an arsenal of equipment including sniper rifles, heavy machine guns and anti-tank missiles.
If IS attacked again they would have been able to put up a considerable fight.

A New Syrian Army’s spokesman refused to comment on the pictures of the special forces, but acknowledged their help.

He said: “We are receiving special forces training from our British and American partners. We’re also getting weapons and equipment from the Pentagon as well as complete air support.”

Kareem Shaheen and Ewan McAskill of The Guardian added more detail in their own report published on August 9, 2016. They wrote,

It is believed to be the first time British forces have been photographed operating inside Syria, where they are engaged in relatively small numbers in wide-ranging roles that include surveillance, advisory and combat.

The images depict British special forces sitting on Thalab long-range patrol vehicles as they move around the perimeter of a rebel base close to the Syria-Iraq border.

The Thalab (Fox) vehicles are essentially modified, militarised and upgraded Toyota 4x4s used for long distance reconnaissance and surveillance missions, which were developed jointly in the middle of the last decade by a state-backed defence company in Jordan and the UK company Jankel.

The vehicle, which has mounted weaponry and is often used for border patrols, has been primarily used by Jordanian special forces.

Al-Tanf, where the vehicles were reportedly photographed, is a border crossing between Syria and Iraq that had been under Isis control, and is also not far from the Jordanian border. It is unclear how many Nato countries have deployed the modified trucks, though Belgium ordered a shipment of modified Fox vehicles earlier this year.

The images seem to show British forces securing the perimeter of the rebel base following an attack by Isis, according to the BBC. The soldiers can be seen carrying anti-tank missiles, sniper rifles and other heavy artillery.

The New Syrian Army is designated as a “moderate” terrorist organization and fights under the umbrella of the Free Syrian Army, another Western-backed “moderate” operation that has committed innumerable horrific acts of violence and atrocities all throughout the Syrian crisis. It should be noted that the terrorist group that beheaded a young child on camera weeks ago, Nour al-Din al-Zenghi, was also considered a “moderate” organization and one that had been “vetted” by the U.S. State Department as worthy of receiving TOW missiles.

Also, in May, Russian media outlet Sputnik International reported,

“US security services are planning provocations with the use of prohibited substances in Syria. The operation is led by a former militant of the Islamic State *[Daesh], Mishan Idris Hamash. The aim is to stage a chemical attack against civilians to be further spread in the media,” the source told Sputnik.

According to the source, the preparations began on April 23. The civilians are being shipped to a territory near Jafra oil field to participate in a staged filming of an attack scene.

Although based on one source, it should be noted that France is now making statements similar to those it made in the run-up to the staged Douma chemical weapons attack where it announced that if Bashar al-Assad used chemical weapons, France would take action.

“The goal of the strike against Syria was to prevent Bashar Assad from repeating such attack. If this happens, we can consider the possibility of repeated strikes,” French Defense Minister Florence Parley said.

With the reputation and history of the United States and France in Syria taken in concert with the warnings coming from both the Russians and the Syrians, the possibility of a false flag chemical attack being staged is very real.

Foreign Ministry: Persistence of US-led coalition in committing crimes in Syria shows Security Council’s negligence in enforcing international law

12 June، 2018

Damascus, SANA – The Foreign and Expatriates Ministry sent a letter to the UN Secretary-General and the head of the Security Council on the bombing of civilian houses in Tal al-Shayer in Hasaka province by the warplanes of the US-led international coalition.

The letter said that this crime committed by the illegal coalition has claimed the lives of 12 civilians from one family, and that the coalition has also committed a similar crime against innocent civilians at one of the Iraqi refugee camps in Khuwaibra village southeast of al-Shadadi, claiming the lives of 18 civilians.

The Ministry stressed that the coalition’s persistence in committing massacres, war crimes, and crimes against humanity, along with its continuing support for terrorists and its exploitation of terrorists and separatist militias, all show that the Security Council is negligent in enforcing international law and in putting an end to the coalition’s hostile plots that target Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and seek to prolong the crisis.

The letter stressed that Syria calls on the Security Council to shoulder its responsibilities by condemning such massacres and working to stop them from reoccurring, as well as working to end the hostile and illegal presence of US and other foreign forces in Syria.

Washington authorizes millions of dollars in funding to the so-called White Helmets

14 June، 2018

Image

Washington, SANA- The US State Department said that President Donald Trump agreed to authorize USD 6.6 million in funding to the so-called “White Helmets” organization which is linked to the terrorist organizations.

Trump’s administration recently announced the suspension of funds to the organization after its agenda in Syrian had been disclosed, while the organization admitted to receiving continued funding from Turkey and Qatar, both backers of terrorism in Syria.

Sputnik quoted the US State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert as saying in statement on Thursday that “the US strongly supports the White Helmets.”

The US support confirms its connection to the terrorist organization used as tools to implement Washington’s schemes.

The Syrian Arab Army has revealed many documents in the areas liberated from terrorism which confirm the White Helmets’ link with the terrorist organizations particularly Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists, including the preparation and prompting the use of chemical weapons against the civilians with the aim of accusing the Syrian Arab Army.

Terrorists set fire once again to farmlands in vicinity of Hadar village in Quneitra

Image

17 June، 2018

Quneitra, SANA – Terrorist groups set fire once again to a large area of agricultural lands in the vicinity of Hadar village in the northern countryside of Quenitra.

SANA reporter in Quenitra said that Jabhat al-Nusra-linked terrorists located in the wilderness of Jubata al Khashab area on Saturday night set fire to dozens of donnums of apple, cherry, and fig orchards in the areas of Kroum al-Hamria and al-Kashe to the south of Haddar village.

The reporter said that the fire is still blazing due to the direction of the wind and inability of the firefighting vehicles to reach the site of fire.

The fire caused significant damage to the farmlands and the trees, some of which were over 20 years old, the reporter added.

Terrorist groups are setting fire in harvesting season to put pressure on people of Hadar, who stand by the Syrian Arab army, and deprive them of harvesting the corps of cherry and apple which are one of their main sources of livelihood.

US Attack Syrian Army Position, Death Toll Rises to 40
JUNE 18, 2018 BY 21WIRE LEAVE A COMMENT

Image

Once again, the US appears to be baiting the Syrian Army and Russia into a shooting war, and it wouldn’t be the first time.

Back on September 17 2016, the US-led Coalition led airstrikes near the Deir ez-Zor Airport in eastern Syria lasting one hour and killing between 90 and 106 Syrian Army soldiers and wounded 110 more. The US claimed they were aiming at an ISIS target, but in reality that US strike allowed ISIS to move in from the surrounding hills and retake a key position which they held for another year.

In total there have been at least 12 such attacks by the US against Syria, and if confirmed, this latest incident will no doubt escalate tensions between the two countries, and is sure to raise further concerns from Syria’s strategic partners about the continued illegal US occupation in Syria.

Al-Masdar News reports….

BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:00 P.M.) – A Syrian military source in Damascus informed Al-Masdar News this afternoon that the death toll from the alleged U.S. attack on the army’s positions in Albukamal’s countryside has risen significantly.

According to the source, at least 40 soldiers from the Syrian Arab Army and Iraqi paramilitary forces were killed as a result of these airstrikes.

The source said the majority of the dead were Syrian Arab Army soldiers that were deployed to the Al-Harri front to protect against any potential Islamic State (ISIS) assault.

Furthermore, the source said the Syrian military believes the attack was carried out by the U.S. Coalition due to the location from where the aircraft came from in eastern Syria.

In response to these allegations, the Pentagon has denied carrying out this deadly attack in eastern Syria.

This is the second time in three weeks that the Syrian Army has accused the U.S. Coalition of bombing their troops in southeast Syria.

The Syrian Army has not responded to the attack and will not likely attack the US-backed forces in the region, as this would only escalate the situation and lead to violent confrontation.

Furthermore, it is not necessarily clear that the U.S. Coalition carried out the attack, a some pro-government activists have accused the Israeli Air Force of carrying out the airstrikes.

Albukamal is a long distance from the Israeli border, but it would be a viable target for their military, given the large presence of Iranian-backed forces near the Iraqi-Syrian border.

Israel has also never attacked the Syrian military this far from their border, so if they were behind this – this would be the first time they have every bombed the Deir Ezzor Governorate.

Though, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did vow to attack the Iranian-backed forces anywhere inside Syria during his weekly cabinet meeting.

This is a threat that he and his Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman have made on several occasions in the past.

As in Donbass, don't think US is trying to ignite a shooting war. The US is certainly trying to intimidate Russia, knowing that Russia, despite the bluster, will not 'go there'. All them billions in stolen Soviet loot sitting in Western banks got somethin' to do with it....

Iraq denounces Int’l Coalition aggression on forces fighting Daesh

19 June، 2018

Baghdad, SANA- The Iraqi Foreign Ministry on Tuesday condemned the aggression of the US-led “International Coalition” on the forces which are fighting Daesh (ISIS) terrorists near the Iraqi-Syrian borders.

In a statement published by Iraqi media outlets, the Ministry’s Spokesman Ahmad Mahjoub expressed the Ministry’s denunciation and rejection of the airstrikes which target the forces positioned in the areas of fighting Daesh whether in Iraq or Syria or any other place.

Mahjoub said that targeting the fighters who are fighting against Daesh regardless of their labels or the positions of their fighting is a support for the Takfiri organization and it will help it expand and reorganize its ranks again.

He reiterated the Iraqi Foreign Ministry’s call upon all the countries of the world to cooperate in facing these terrorist groups.

US-led coalition attacks a military position in the countryside of al-Boukamal

18 June، 2018

Deir Ezzor, SANA- The US-led International coalition attacked one of the Syrian Arab Army’s positions in the southeast countryside of Deir Ezzor, leaving casualties.

A military source said in a statement to SANA that the US-led coalition on Sunday targeted one of our military positions in the town of Al-Hiri, southeast of al-Boukamal city, leaving a number of martyrs and wounding other people.

The new aggression comes three days after that the Syrian army liberated an area extending from the road of Haqel al-Wared (field of roses) , al-M’aezleh and al-Tammah, to Ibn Muwain’e with 40 km-long axis and combed an area estimated at 2000 square kilometers in al-Mayadeen western Badiya.

The coalition has been targeting the military positions in a desperate attempt to raise the collapsed morale of the terrorist organizations due to the achievements of the Syrian army.

The field reports confirm that Washington provides Daesh organization with various kinds of support to prevent its collapse and invest it to keep its forces illegally in the Syrian territory and steal the economic resources in the eastern region through its mercenaries of terrorist groups.

Since it was illegally formed in 2014 under the pretext of combating terrorism, the US-led coalition has been conducting airstrikes against what it claims are Daesh targets without any authorization from the Syrian government or a United Nations mandate and committing dozens of massacres in Raqqa and the villages of Deir Ezzor and Hasaka.

Syria - Ready To Start The Daraa Campaign
There are signs that the long expected liberation of the Daraa region in southwest Syria is about to begin. After a month of negotiations between Russia, Israel, Jordan and the U.S. no peaceful solution has been found. The various terrorist forces in the (green) area, including al-Qaeda aligned HTS and groups loyal to the Islamic State, have rejected all negotiations. For over a month Russian negotiators tried to convince locals to give up and to reconcile with the government. But the hardliners under the rebels have killed anyone who talked with the Russians. The U.S. government has warned against a Daraa operation and threatened to intervene.

Image

First airstrikes were launched by the Syrian government today against villages in the eastern part of the Deraa area. Some local fighting is ongoing. This is not yet the expected all out attack on the 'rebel' held areas but the testing of enemy forces. The Syrian army has assembled a large force to liberate the southwest. It includes ten thousands of soldiers, more than 100 tanks and lots of artillery. Short range air defenses have been moved into the area to protect the Syrian troops. A well coordinated attack on several front and multiple axes should allow for a quick victory.

Israel, with U.S. backing, might intervene in such an operation even if it makes little sense to do so. The current state can not continue indefinitely. Any intervention might well lead to a war for which Israel is unprepared. The Syrian army is willing and able to hit back into Israel. After seven years of war it is not afraid of a fight.

The Russian military is warning of a false-flag "chemical incident" in Deir Ezzor governorate. The Syrian Observatory reports that Islamic State remnants in the southeastern desert and in the Rukban camp, both under cover of the U.S. occupied zone around al-Tanf, prepare for a large attack on Syrian government forces. It claims that such an attack is an attempt to occupy the zone between al-Tanf and Albu Kamal at the Euphrates. Both operation would be planned diversions intended to draw Syrian forces away from Deraa and could provide excuses for U.S. intervention on the opposition side.

Late Sunday an airstrike destroyed a building in the Harri area near Albu Kamal directly on the Syrian-Iraqi border. The building was used as a headquarter for the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMU) who are securing the border in coordination with the Syrian army in the fight against the Islamic State. More than 20 fighters were killed and more than 10 were wounded. This may have been in preparation for the reportedly planned large ISIS attack.

The strike makes otherwise little military sense. The PMU are nominally under command of the Iraqi government. They used a house on the Syrian side, some 200 meters from the border, as there was no adequate space on the Iraqi side. While they may have Iranian support and may help the Syrian army in some of its operations they are neither Iranian troops nor do they belong to the Lebanese Hezbullah.

The Syrian government accused the U.S. of having attacked the building. One U.S. source claims to CNN that the Israeli air-force attacked the site. I doubt that this is true. The U.S. has previously attacked Syrian government aligned forces in the area. It obviously continues to use ISIS to disrupt Syrian army operations. But as the U.S. needs Iraq it can not admit that it hit Iraqi forces. That would practically guarantee that the incoming Iraqi government would tell it to leave. It might have asked Israel to provide a cover for the strike.

Technically Israel could have done the attack. It would have needed tanker support and Jordanian compliance for overflight. Over the weekend Netanyahoo announced that Israel would hit Iranian forces all over Syria. But even CNN notes that the strike is untypical for Israel and does not make any sense.

Whoever committed the strike did so in an airspace that is controlled by the U.S. military. The leaders of the PMU in Iraq will use it to rally their forces against any U.S. bases in the country.

In north Syria Turkey is continuing its colonization of Syrian towns and regions. Turkish post offices, Turkish teachers, policemen and imans are pushing the population to adopt Turkish culture. It will more difficult to dislodge than the few thousand 'rebels' in the Deraa region.
