The Vast Network of Israeli Spy Tech Behind The Modern Surveillance State
Nate Bear
Jul 29, 2025

Image

Last week another batch of peaceful pro-Palestine protestors were arrested by British police on suspicion of terrorism offences, including a disabled man in a wheelchair, as the UK continues its descent into authoritarianism on behalf of Israel.

If any of these protestors had their phones on them at the time of arrest, the police will most likely have scraped them for data using sophisticated spy tech software. Protestors not arrested will have been caught on mobile cameras that sit atop police vans in the UK, and their faces, perhaps even their voices, will have been captured, analysed and cross referenced against a police database.

And in a perverse twist, this spyware technology - technology which now underpins the insidious and growing capabilities of the modern surveillance state - will most likely have been made in Israel by Israeli spies.

But it’s not just in the UK.

Spy tech developed by former Israeli spies is being used on an industrial scale by various agencies in western democracies, from police forces to national security agencies to militaries. Some has been declared illegal, some skirts legal boundaries, and much remains hidden.

The scale of usage, and the range of capabilities provided by this Israeli spy tech, is vast. From face and voice recognition software, to interception and wiretap technology, to covert location tracking, to forced data extraction from smartphones and other devices.

The tech, built by software engineers who cut their teeth writing code to enable and enforce Israeli domination over, and apartheid against Palestinians, is being sold to security services, police forces and immigration agencies across the west.

While much of the information in this article isn’t new, it hasn’t been summarised in one place before. The implications for global civil liberties of Israel’s dominance in spy tech have also not been articulated, and past media coverage has sometimes omitted the Israeli link to these companies. This article will outline the primary players, the sellers and the buyers, and also identify recent contracts, previously undocumented, between Israeli spytech and western buyers.

The first thing to say is that a few scandals involving Israeli spyware companies have been well documented by mainstream media, the most famous of which was the NSO Group affair. NSO, an Israeli firm founded by ex-Unit 8200 officers Shalev Hulio and Omri Lavie, was found guilty in a California court in 2019 of selling its Pegasus software to governments so they could hack WhatsApp accounts. Pegasus, which was able to execute what is known as a ‘zero-click’ attack to access a smartphone without the user knowing, was used by governments to spy on dissidents, human rights activists and journalists and was likely used by Saudi agents to spy on Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi before he was murdered. The company was eventually ordered to pay $167 million in damages to Meta, who bought the case, and in 2021 Biden blacklisted the company, preventing it doing business the US. (The US state department, notably, went out of its way to say the US would take no action against Israel, despite the fact that the Israeli government provide export licenses for all spyware software).

Also blacklisted by Biden as part of the same executive order was another Israeli spyware maker called Candiru, whose hacking software did not attract the same high-profile attention as the NSO Group. Candiru, also founded by ex-Unit 8200 intelligence personnel, sold spyware to governments to spy on human rights activists, journalists, academics, embassy workers, and dissidents.

In 2023, the Biden administration again blacklisted two Israeli spyware companies with little fanfare, and once again without taking action against Israel. The two companies, Cytrox and Intellexa, were founded by Tal Dilian, who spent 24 years in the IDF, rising to become chief commander of Unit 8200. In 2019, Dilian, who lives in Cyprus, was visited by a Forbes journalist, where he demonstrated how his software could remotely hack a phone within seconds.

In Europe, Cyprus and Barcelona have become hubs for ex-Unit 8200 Israelis building spyware companies.

Another Israeli spy firm, Paragon Solutions, was identified earlier this year as silently infiltrating and extract data from WhatsApp, Signal, Messenger and Gmail without needing user interaction. A criminal complaint against Paragon was filed in Rome after an Italian journalist was hacked by the Italian government using Paragon software. No other legal action has been taken, however. The company, founded by Unit 8200 commanders Ehud Schneorson, Idan Nurick, Igor Bogudlov, and advised by former Israeli prime minister, Ehud Barak, has not been blacklisted by the EU or the US and remains free to operate.

These companies are just the tip of the iceberg, the names that skirted legal grey areas and either eventually fell on the wrong side of the law (such as it is) and into the scope of the authorities, or whose illicit spying activities were discovered.

Even more insidious are the Israeli spyware companies openly contracting with western security services and agencies to spy on and crack mobile phones and other devices. Because these companies work with lawful state agencies, they claim to have a different model than the NSO Group, Candiru and others focused on illicit hacking services. Yet in many cases their software is similar if not identical, and the full scope of their activities is unknown.

Lead among these is Cellebrite, founded by ex-IDF soldier Yossi Carmil and staffed with dozens of ex-Unit 8200 Israeli intelligence personnel. Cellebrite’s flagship tool is called the Universal Forensic Extraction Device which extracts data including contacts, locations, deleted messages, and calls from a range of devices including smartphones, pads, SIM cards, and GPS devices. In the US Cellebrite has a $30 million contract with ICE, and a $1.6 million contract with Customs & Border Protection to scrape the data from phones seized at the border. The surveillance firm also worked with the FBI to unlock the phone of Trump’s would-be assassin Thomas Crook. And Cellebrite is looking to embed itself more deeply in the US security and surveillance state. Drop Site News last year revealed that Cellebrite has hired a lobbying firm and has set up a dedicated arm of its business to win more US government contracts, after raking in more than $18 million from US federal government contracts in 2024. In December 2023 Cellebrite boasted it had signed a one-million dollar contract with “one of the largest police departments in the country” without disclosing which one. Given that they were referenced as “a long-time customer,” the most likely candidate is the NYPD, who have been documented as working with Cellebrite for years.

On top of this, my research has found that Cellebrite has active contracts with a host of US federal agencies, from the Navy, to the DEA, the Coast Guard, to the Fish and Wildlife Service. A number of US embassies also contract with Cellebrite including the US embassies in Lima, Bogota and Asuncion. US Special Operations Command, the agency which oversees the various special operations programmes across the US military branches, also pays for Cellebrite tools, as does Global Strike Command, the US Air Force unit responsible for nuclear attacks.

Cellebrite is just as active in the UK. In 2020 the company signed a three-year, two million pound contract with London’s Metropolitan police for Cellebrite’s premium product. The Met said the Cellebrite software is the only one on the market “that meets Met police requirements,” particularly its ability to crack Android phones. It’s not clear if this contract was renewed.

In 2018 Police Scotland signed a £370,000 contract with Cellebrite to provide 41 mobile ‘cyber kiosks’ to be rolled out across Scotland, enabling on-site phone cracking. And in 2022 North Wales Police paid Cellebrite over a quarter of a million pounds for a suite of tools which enabled ‘password bypass’ and ‘brute forcing’ of phones.

Kent Police, the police force whose armed police recently threatened with arrest people for holding Palestine flags, signed a one year contract with Cellebrite last year. And this year, two additional UK police forces have signed contracts with Cellebrite. In February the City of London Police, the police for London’s financial district and distinct from the Met Police, paid one hundred thousand pounds for Cellebrite tools. And in April Leicestershire Police signed a one-year contract with Cellebrite that cost them £328,700. Cellebrite also has a contract with the UK’s Department for Transport.

In the UK, Cellebrite is an approved supplier under what is known as the ‘Digital Forensics Dynamic Purchasing System’ which, according to the body responsible for signing commercial deals for UK police forces “enables the streamlined procurement across UK forces for Cellebrite tools.”

How widespread the use of Cellebrite tools is by UK police forces is unknown. Freedom of Information Requests have previously found twenty six of the UK’s forty seven police forces admitted using the technology, with others planning to trial it. More recent FOI requests to UK police forces this year concerning their use of Cellebrite, from South Wales to West Yorkshire, have been denied on so-called ‘national security’ grounds.

Cellebrite has boasted of its work enabling the Israeli genocide of Gaza, saying it has been ‘instrumental’ in providing phone hacking services to Israeli intelligence since October 7th.

Arguably even more sophisticated tools are offered by Israeli spy tech firm Cobwebs Technologies, founded by former IDF Unit 8200 officers Omri Timianker, Udi Levy, and Shay Attias and which employs a number of ex-Unit 8200 on its staff. Among the services offered by Cobwebs (sold to a company called PenLink in 2023 but retaining the CobWebs team) is an AI-powered service enabling facial and image recognition across social media and the deep web, and a feature called WebLoc that enables the tracking of mobile phone movements in a specific area selected by the user. This capability, known as geofencing, is enabled by in-app advertising which pulls personal data from smartphones, data which is then sold to spy tech companies like Cobwebs for integration into tools like WebLoc. A now-deleted 2019 press release details in corporate tech speak the services offered by the company. Cobwebs previously signed a $2.7 million contract with ICE, has an active $3.2 million contract with the US Department of Homeland Security and last June entered into a huge $5.3 million contract with the Texas Department of Public Safety. A 2024 report also found that the LAPD has been using Cobwebs’ suite of surveillance and tracking tools for a number of years.

In 2020 the company opened an office in London with the intent to provide its spy tech to UK police and security services, but no public information on UK bodies working with Cobwebs is available.

Another Israeli spy tech firm working with western security services, police forces and government agencies is Cognyte. The firm, spun out of another Israeli spy tech company called Verint, is led by Elad Sharon, Gil Cohen and Ronny Lempel, all of whom are IDF and Unit 8200 graduates. CEO Sharon’s LinkedIn banner is a Cognyte-branded image proclaiming the company stands with Israel.

Image

Cognyte makes “network intelligence” tools that hoover up huge quantities of information, including anything running through 4G/5G towers, telecom metadata, messaging platforms, phone calls and network signals, to spot patterns and anomalies in communications. This gets fed into a data platform ‘solution’ that enables users to connect dots and analyse information. This is all supposedly legal, but information on the nature of the work and the agencies contracting with Cognyte is scarce. Cognyte announces the awards but never the end users.

What we do know is that in the last 18 months, western law enforcement agencies, national security agencies and militaries have signed deals with Cognyte worth collectively close to $60 million. These include a $20 million, three-year deal with a national security agency in Europe, a $3 million agreement with a US police department and a $10 million contract with a European military announced just last week. The press release for the military deal explained how “Cognyte continues to deliver field-proven solutions that empower frontline military teams with the actionable intelligence they need to operate.”

Two buyers I have identified, listed on a US government procurement website, are the US Secret Service and the US embassy in El Salvador. And in 2023, Reuters revealed that Cognyte had sold interception software to Myamar’s state-owned telecoms company just prior to the military coup that installed the junta who committed a genocide against the Rohingya people.

Similar to Cellebrite and Cobwebs, a search on LinkedIn for ex-Unit 8200 who now work at Cognyte brings up dozens of names.

The company that Cognyte span out of, Verint, is also Israeli, founded by former intelligence officers and has also worked with western security agencies. In 2014 Verint built Switzerland’s wiretap and surveillance infrastructure, and in 2017 was paid $35 million by the US Department of Defense to work on a major undisclosed project. In 2018 Verint scored part of a 50 million pound deal to provide UK police with new cyber intelligence capabilities. Verint has since pivoted its business model to focus on customer engagement platforms, with much of the military and security spytech spun out into Cognyte.

Another Israeli company that has partnered with British police forces is Corsight AI which has sold its facial recognition technology to the Essex Police. Corsight’s software, which enables the identification and cross referencing of peoples faces, was perfected first on Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. According to the linked article, the technology has been deployed during the genocide of Gaza. The founder and chairman of Corsight’s parent company, Cortica, is Igal Raichelgauz, a former Israeli intelligence officer. Corsight has also sold its facial recognition to Sao Paulo’s military police and to Bogota’s metropolitan police.

Israeli facial recognition company, Briefcam, also has contracts with UK police forces as well as police departments in the US. In the UK, Cumbria police use Briefcam’s analytics system in their county-wide network of CCTV, but claim to have disabled the facial recognition component. In France, Briefcam had its contracts cancelled in 2023 after it was revealed scores of police forces across the country were using them illegally in breach of French privacy laws. Police in Brussels and Warsaw also use Corsight facial recognition, and in the US Chicago, Springfield and Beverly Hills PD have confirmed their usage of Corsight.

NICE, an Israeli company founded by ex-IDF soldiers, has captured the market for identifying financial fraud, serving 85% of the Fortune 500 and a number of European regulators. A multi-billion dollar company, it has also provided surveillance tools for cities including license plate recognition, face capture, as well as hand held GPS-based video terminals and mobile video sensors to track citizens. A 2015 Buzzfeed investigation found NICE was supplying secret surveillance software to a number of countries.

An honourable mention must go to Israel's Black Cube, founded by ex-Unit 8200 intelligence spooks Dan Zorella and Avi Yanus. Black Cube was notoriously hired by Hollywood rapist Harvey Weinstein (a man who said he was '“Israeli in his heart and mind”) to spy on and gather information about his accusers. BlackCube has been implicated in a number of spying scandals and in the past has employed western diplomats including Vivian Bercovici, Canada's former ambassador to Israel.

What this compendium demonstrates is that Israel and its apartheid economy sits at the centre of the drive towards a fully surveilled, zero-dissent world. Across the globe, Israeli spyware is ushering in a distinct 21st century fascism that fuses new technologies of control to a tried-and-tested framework that seeks to spy, suppress and dominate. Under the guise of citizen safety and crime fighting, Israeli tech is smoothing the gears of authoritarianism.

Israel's permanent war and apartheid economy, and the spy tech firms run by Israeli intelligence operatives that emerge from this economy, are the single biggest threat to civil liberties in the world today. And it’s no surprise that Israel has cornered this market. Israel churns out individuals and projects directed for dominance because Israelis are raised in and surrounded by a military culture of impunity. A culture where technology is created only to dominate, test subjects are abundant and rules of engagement non-existent.

In buying and relying on the tools of an apartheid state for security and law enforcement technology, we see how Israel’s apartheid and genocide itself becomes indispensable to western governments in their drive towards complete security states.

Our world is becoming more authoritarian and fascist because tools developed by authoritarians and fascists are being employed across the public and private sphere.

This is why, as I argued in my last article, we must de-Zionise the world.

The surveillance and spy tech industry is just another strand of the deep and pernicious web of influence Israel has spun across the west, a web that is choking our politics, throttling our civil liberties and has led to a holocaust.

Our future, and a future for the Palestinians, depends on dismantling this web and rooting out the influence of Israel in our societies.

The Gleefulness of Evil Spells Doom for Israel

A journey into a new, improved, and joyful Heart of Darkness
Ohio Barbarian
Jul 29, 2025

It is often said that the Nazis taught us the banality of evil. The world saw, through the new wonder of television, these otherwise ordinary people just following orders, just making the best of a bad situation which was imposed upon them by authorities they had a duty to obey.

That’s the gist of what those clinical mass murderers presented as their defense at Nuremberg, which was found wanting by the rest of the world.

The Zionists have one-upped their historical tormentors by teaching us the gleefulness of evil. Unlike the Germans, who at least had the sense not to make live broadcasts of their crimes, the Israelis actively celebrate theirs in real time on the worldwide internet.

Let us count just a few of the ways.

Look at the new duds we found!

Israelis Watch Bombs Drop on Gaza From Front-Row Seats - The New York Times

Israelis are brutally honest about their true goal—an ethnically pure Jewish state, the borders of which are never really defined. We need look no further than the current Minister of Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, who provides a bottomless pit of genocidal quotations. To wit:

Occupation, settlement, and encouragement of emigration. Only in this way can we solve the problem of Gaza. To occupy all the land. To settle in all the land. And of course, to encourage the voluntary emigration of as many [Palestinian] people as possible to other countries.—June 6, 2024

The only way to achieve victory . . . is through the complete conquest of the Strip, a total cessation of "humanitarian" aid, and the encouragement of emigration. —July 8, 2025

[T]he food and aid depots should be bombed in order to create military and political pressure. —April 23, 2025

[W]hen Israel acts like the rightful owners of this land, this is what brings results. I see it in the terrorists' jail cells ... You should see them whining and crying in their cells. And this is our proof: When we decide we can, we succeed.—October 21, 2024

Why are there so many arrestees? Can't we kill some? Are you trying to tell me they all raise their hands? What can we do with so many arrestees. It's dangerous for the soldiers.—April 25, 2024

[The] only humane solution for Gaza is the mass deportation of its inhabitants.—January 28, 2024

We have all seen the graphic results of this deliberate Israeli policy. Videos of bombed hospitals, churches, mosques, schools, and just recently, a kindergarten(see Jimmy Dore on YouTube or Rumble). Like him, I don’t have the heart to post another image of a dismembered or starved child, but, in some ways, this one is even worse.

Image
Gaza before and Gaza now. How can anyone live in such a place? Exactly. They can’t. That’s the plan.

Israel is a whole culture of people who have been indoctrinated since birth that their settler cause is just and any means necessary to accomplish said cause is justified. They’re obviously also taught to celebrate it at every opportunity. And they truly believe, if anything far more so than people like Goering did.

And that, dear readers, is their fatal mistake.

Zionists believed in their cause so much they celebrated and bragged about it, and they must have genuinely believed that their control over the United States government and American corporate media would infect the majority of the American people with their lust for killing Arabs and taking their land.

That has not and will not happen. It’s just now dawning on people like Netanyahu that something might be going horribly wrong, which is why they invited a bunch of younger Trump-supporting podcasters to Israel to set their minds right.

That won’t work, either.

The majority of the American people have already turned against Israel. This happened over a year ago, but the Israelis, and the Trump Administration, simply couldn’t believe it. Only now, as even the British Government’s blind support for Israel begins to quaver, do they start to notice what is growing in their rearview mirror.

Image

Those “objects” will only grow bigger, for two principle reasons.

First, most Americans are fundamentally decent people who don’t like seeing women and children massacred and starved to death in supersized numbers.

Second, most Americans suffer from a declining standard of living and want most of that money our government is sending overseas spent on us here at home.

Instead, we’re being forced to pay for the genocide while our leaders threaten to jail us just for calling a spade a spade and order us to think about something else, like all of the imaginary things they have accomplished for us in the imaginations of their propagandists.

They should have known better. After all, we didn’t feel the joy of a Woman of Color at the cusp of the Presidency who told us to shut up about the genocide when She was speaking about some of those imaginary things just last year.

Image

Yeah, I know, it was more like

Image

Sorry not sorry, Israelis. We Americans do not feel your joy at the torment and death of parents and children. We do not share your expansionist dreams in the Middle East. We know that the time for Manifest Destiny is long gone, we recall the banality of Nazi evil and reject the gleeful evil of Zionism because both are wrong, unnecessary, and have absolutely no redeeming social value in global society.

We Americans are also heartily sick and tired of being sick and tired of PAYING for your atrocities as well. We haven’t figured out quite how to stop our government from doing that yet, but we will. It is only a matter of time now.

Israel delenda est.

While it breaks my heart to say that it will be way too little and way too late for way too many, there will come a day when that command I paraphrased from Cato will have been accomplished.

And when it is, it will be because most Americans, most Europeans, and most people on the planet in general, cannot even comprehend how we are supposed to feel the joy at the sight of Zionists celebrating cruelty.

Thank you for reading, good day or night, and good luck.

It Shouldn’t Have Taken This Much For Mainstream Voices To Start Speaking Up About Gaza

As western pundits, politicians and celebrities suddenly pivot to denouncing Israel’s genocidal atrocities after two years of silence, it’s hard to believe that just a few weeks ago we were being told that saying “death to the IDF” is a hate crime.

Caitlin Johnstone

Israel’s top human rights group B’Tselem has finally declared that Israel is committing genocide, as has the Israel-based Physicians for Human Rights. The Israeli organizations join Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, UN human rights experts, and the overwhelming majority of leading authorities on the subject of genocide in their conclusion.

The debate is over. The Israel apologists lost. And we are seeing this reflected in mainstream discourse.

Pop megastar Ariana Grande has started speaking out in support of Gaza, telling her social media followers that “starving people to death is a red line.” This is a new threshold. Opposing Israel’s genocide is now the most mainstream as it has ever been.

MSNBC just ran a piece explicitly titled “Israel is starving Gaza. And the U.S. is complicit.”, featuring a segment with the virulently pro-Israel Morning Joe slamming the mass atrocity. CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, himself a former AIPAC employee, has done a 180 and is now raking Israel over the coals on the air for its deliberately engineered starvation campaign. The New York Times finally overcame its phobia of the g-word with an op-ed titled “I’m a Genocide Scholar. I Know It When I See It.”

We’re now seeing notoriously Zionist swamp monsters in the Democratic Party like Barack Obama, Hakeem Jeffries, Cory Booker and Amy Klobuchar changing their tune and attacking Netanyahu and Trump for their joint genocide project in Gaza, with increasingly forceful pushback from some on the right like Marjorie Taylor Greene as well.

Image

As western pundits, politicians and celebrities suddenly pivot to denouncing Israel’s genocidal atrocities after two years of silence, it’s hard to believe that just a few weeks ago we were being told that saying “death to the IDF” is a hate crime.

People who’ve been staring at this genocide from the beginning have been asking the entire time, what is it going to take? What will it take for our society to stop sleepwalking through inane trivialities and vapid distractions and start opposing the holocaust of our day?

Raining military explosives on a giant concentration camp packed full of children wasn’t enough.

Burning children alive wasn’t enough.

Systematically destroying Gaza’s entire healthcare infrastructure — up to and including entering hospitals they’ve attacked and destroying individual pieces of medical equipment one by one — wasn’t enough.

Killing more journalists than were killed in both World Wars plus the US Civil War, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Yugoslav Wars, the War in Afghanistan, and the ongoing war in Ukraine wasn’t enough.

The systemic rape and torture of prisoners wasn’t enough.

IDF soldiers routinely sharing photos and videos of themselves mockingly dressing in the clothes of dead and displaced Palestinian women and playing with the toys of dead and displaced Palestinian children wasn’t enough.

Israeli officials openly expressing genocidal intent for the people of Gaza wasn’t enough.

The US president and Israeli prime minister openly declaring their goal of the complete ethnic cleansing of a Palestinian territory wasn’t enough.

Field testing new weapons of war on Palestinians like they’re guinea pigs in a laboratory wasn’t enough.

Leaving countless civilians to slowly suffocate or die of dehydration trapped under the rubble of bombed buildings wasn’t enough.

Creating an AI system to ensure that suspected Hamas fighters are bombed when they’re at home with their children and naming it “Where’s Daddy?” wasn’t enough.

Using Palestinians as human shields wasn’t enough.

Burying injured civilians alive with bulldozers wasn’t enough.

The IDF admitting to running a popular Telegram channel called “72 Virgins” which posted extremely gory and sadistic snuff films of people in Gaza being butchered by Israeli forces wasn’t enough.

IDF snipers routinely shooting children in the head and chest throughout the Gaza Strip wasn’t enough.

The IDF flying drones which play the sounds of crying babies at night in order to lure out hiding civilians to murder them wasn’t enough.

IDF troops telling the Israeli press that they’re being ordered to massacre starving civilians seeking food from aid sites wasn’t enough.

Israeli snipers targeting different body parts of starving civilians on designated days — leg day, head day, genitals day, etc — wasn’t enough.

Far right Israeli citizens setting up blockades to stop aid trucks from entering Gaza while they enjoyed parties and barbecues at the blockade sites wasn’t enough.

Using lies and propaganda to dismantle the aid system for bringing essential food and life-supporting supplies into Gaza, to replace it with a US/Israeli op where aid seekers are massacred every single day, wasn’t enough.

Using siege warfare to deliberately starve Gaza for the previous 22 months wasn’t enough.

But now that starvation has hit a critical point and deaths from malnutrition are skyrocketing, now that images of dead skeletal children are filling our screens, now that the damage to organs and brains from starvation will be irreversible in many cases — now it’s enough.

That was the line, apparently. That’s what mainstream western consciousness has decided is too much. Everything up until that line was fine, but now it’s not fine anymore.

And the killing is still going on. The sudden awakening of conscience hasn’t translated into any material actions or changes at all yet. If it had come in October or November 2023 like it should have we might be seeing that opposition translate into actually saving Gaza by now, but the light has only just been switched on. It’s not even guaranteed that those who are speaking up will continue to do so.

I’m glad people are waking up to the cruel reality of this nightmare. I’m grateful to each and every influential voice who uses their platform to speak out, even at this late date. I truly am.

But I also think we need to take a very hard, very uncomfortable look at ourselves as a society right now. If all those monstrous abuses were tolerable for us over these last two years, there’s something deeply and profoundly sick about our civilization.

We are not living right. We are not thinking right. We are not feeling right. We are warped and twisted. The information we consume and the norms we’ve been conditioned to accept have corrupted our souls.

We have been made into something bad. Something ugly. Something shameful. Something we need to do everything in our power to change.

We need to rescue ourselves from what we have become. We need to transform, deeply and radically, into something that could never again allow something like this to occur.

The way things are clearly isn’t working. The mainstream worldview is clearly a lie. Everything we’ve been taught to believe about our society, our nation, our government and our world was clearly false.

We need to fight our way through the cognitive dissonance of recognizing that our entire way of looking at things as a collective has failed, and we need to find a new way of being.

Otherwise we’re going to keep being smashed in the face with increasingly horrifying reminders of what we have allowed ourselves to become.

The lessons will repeat until they are learned.

We had better start learning them.

Famine as a method of extermination
The point of no return of the Israeli genocide
29 Jul 2025 , 9:34 am .

Image

Since the start of the genocidal campaign in October 2023, more than 120 people in the Gaza Strip have died of starvation. Of that number, more than 83 are children , but what is alarming is that 54% of the total deaths from this cause have occurred since last Monday, July 21, generating strong international alarm at what represents a new phase of intensification of Israeli apartheid in the Strip.

A hundred international humanitarian organizations have described the current situation as a "mass famine," while the United Nations (UN) has warned that one in five Gazan children is suffering from malnutrition, a figure that is likely to rise as the Israeli military carries out precision strikes against humanitarian convoys and food delivery sites.

Following the intense and lethal bombing campaign on Gaza that has characterized these past 21 months of terrorist aggression, a maneuver that has been accompanied by aggressive Israeli settler expeditions and the division and annexation of parts of the territory through the creation of "buffer zones," Tel Aviv now aims to tighten its comprehensive siege of the Strip, with the planned objective of starving the population to a final expulsion.

Today, more than 2 million people remain trapped in the Strip.

For more than 145 days, Israel has closed all Gaza border crossings and carried out attacks on the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation's delivery sites, while also blocking the entry of humanitarian aid, primarily food, from international organizations attempting to continue operating in the Strip.

The near-total destruction of critical infrastructure in vast portions of Gaza, followed by the erosion of the social, economic, and productive fabric, has further limited the population's access to food. This is not only due to the existing restrictions (consciously implemented by Israel) on receiving aid, but also to the lethal economic effects of the systematic bombing.

In a comprehensive report on this situation published by +972 Magazine, Ahmed Ahmed exposes the economic side of the apartheid and terrorist operation in Gaza. The journalist describes how food prices have skyrocketed due to shortages and the siege.

"A kilo of flour now costs NIS 200 ($60), rice NIS 180 ($54), lentils NIS 100 ($30), local tomatoes NIS 80 ($23), and cucumbers NIS 70 ($21)," says Ahmed, describing the situation of one Palestinian family he interviewed. The wages, which are close to $300 at best for those still able to engage in some economic activity, would only cover very limited food supplies, further increasing their dependence on aid deliveries blocked by Israel.

In addition to the high prices and scarcity, the economically active population pays fees exceeding 40% to withdraw their money, a situation that exacerbates the general lack of access to food and basic goods, typical of a concentration camp.

Desperation has reached such a point that Palestinians are risking intercepting humanitarian aid trucks near the Netzarim corridor before they reach the delivery points, where it is unsafe to receive food due to precision strikes by the Israeli military.

In his report, Ahmed briefly recounts the story of a family of ranchers and farmers who attacked an aid truck, risking being killed by soldiers. They managed to seize a 25-kilogram sack of flour, but were later robbed by people with knives, most likely in the same desperate situation.

In a new report dated July 27, 2025, the World Health Organization (WHO) states :

"Of the 74 malnutrition-related deaths in 2025, 63 occurred in July, including 24 children under five, one child over five, and 38 adults. Most of these individuals were declared dead upon arrival at health facilities or died shortly afterward, with clear signs of severe wasting on their bodies."

THE CRIMINAL PRACTICE OF "DOUBLE TAP"
Added to the current phase of escalation marked by the planned famine in the Gaza Strip is the intensification of the "double-tap" airstrike, which consists of bombing areas of rubble to thwart rescue efforts. In this way, Israel guarantees the killing of civilian targets, whether through injury, starvation, or suffocation from toxic gases.

An investigation by +972 Magazine and Local Call, supported by sources within the Israeli military, confirmed the escalation of this criminal practice, which carries "a death sentence for dozens, and sometimes hundreds, of wounded civilians trapped under the rubble, along with their would-be rescuers," the report highlights.

The "double tap" has made rescue efforts impossible and endangered rescue personnel, both locally and internationally. In March of this year alone, 15 paramedics and rescue workers were killed by the Israeli army, with autopsies showing precise gunshot wounds to the head and torso .

However, rescues continue to occur, albeit on a limited basis. In response, the emergence of the "double tap" practice seeks to eliminate any possibility of saving civilians from the rubble.

This method, according to the investigation by the media involved, "is widely considered illegal under international law, not only because it deliberately targets first responders, such as journalists, rescue workers, and doctors, but also because it seeks to deter rescue efforts altogether and cause further harm to civilians."

With mass starvation, the expansion of the "double tap," and the accelerated expansion of illegal settler settlements, Israel is increasingly effectively shrinking the Gaza Strip, severely encircling its inhabitants who still persist in their determination not to leave their land.

Currently, Gazans are confined to less than 15% of the entire enclave, resulting in a concentration camp-like reality comparable to that of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay: "Approximately 2.3 million people are living in overcrowded, stifling conditions, with less space than that allocated to detainees at Guantanamo Bay," the Euro-Mediterranean Network for Human Rights said in a press release earlier this month .

The plan to eliminate all basic living conditions in Gaza also includes access to water. In mid-July, using drones, Israel killed seven children and four adults who were trying to collect water from a tanker truck, aiming to scare away the thirsty crowd that had gathered there for the same purpose.

But the effort to starve the population is strategic. According to Asem Alnabih , who holds responsibilities in the Gaza municipality:

"During the past 21 months of Israeli aggression, 75% of Gaza City's wells have been destroyed by Israel, while the remaining wells have either stopped or are operating partially for limited hours, which is insufficient to meet the population's needs."

On the other hand, murders at aid delivery sites have been increasing rapidly. Refaat Ibrahim, a journalist working from the Gaza Strip, states that, as of June 8, approximately 130 Palestinians had been killed there. In his latest report , published on July 26, he indicated that "the number has risen to around 900."

BEYOND THE CEASEFIRE
It is clear that we are witnessing a turning point in Israel's genocidal campaign against the Gaza Strip. A point of no return has been reached, where the lethality and criminality of Tel Aviv's operations are reaching ever-increasing levels without resulting in significant diplomatic and international costs. We are witnessing the most catastrophic, lethal, and horrific phase of the genocide against the Palestinian people.

To confirm this, it's important to refer to the recent report from the UN World Food Program, reviewed and analyzed by Mondoweiss . According to the institution:

"People are dying due to a lack of humanitarian assistance. Malnutrition is increasing, with 90,000 women and children in need of urgent treatment. Nearly one in three people have gone days without eating. Food aid is the only way for most people to have access to any food, as the price of a one-kilogram sack of flour has exceeded $100 in local markets."

Mondoweiss, citing health sources in Gaza, has warned that the exacerbation of malnutrition cases is overwhelming the Strip's health services, which are already severely deteriorated by bombing and a shortage of basic supplies to treat the sick and wounded:

"The numbers [of those who are malnourished] are increasing daily [...] Malnutrition leads to a collapse of immunity and physical deterioration, placing a heavy burden on Nasser Hospital amid a lack of treatment options," the outlet reports.

Furthermore, among the most affected sectors "are newborns, who lack the means to feed themselves. Mothers cannot breastfeed due to malnutrition, which hampers milk production. Infant formula is also unavailable in the markets. At Nasser Hospital, Yahya al-Najjar died at three months of age last Saturday, July 19, after a long battle with malnutrition," Mondoweiss states.

Recently, it was reported that David Barnea, director of Mossad, Israel's intelligence and espionage agency, was in Washington to speak with Steve Witkoff, Trump's Middle East envoy. It was reported that the conversation raised the ongoing negotiations with Ethiopia, Libya, and Indonesia to accept Palestinians fleeing Gaza. However, the progress of these efforts and whether they will actually benefit Tel Aviv are still unknown.

Barnea's journey is closely linked to the escalating genocide on the ground. Israel is rendering Gaza uninhabitable, and the ongoing massacres, "double-tap" air operations, and precision strikes on humanitarian aid delivery sites, where the use of snipers has been confirmed, seek to push the population south (specifically Rafah), where plans are underway to confine the entire population, in a contemporary version of Auschwitz.

While the army advances toward this objective, Barnea and Netanyahu are working diplomatically to secure a third country to host the Palestinians, who have two options: starve to death or flee southward to an open-air prison. Nothing is stopping Israel from implementing this plan, only the opposition of the countries that have been contacted to cooperate with the final phase of ethnic cleansing.

In this sense, the short-term outlook is equally frightening. Journalist Malak Hijazi believes that the process of diplomatic normalization with Israel, as framed within the Abraham Accords, has not completely halted, although the red line remains the recognition of a Palestinian state and the demand for a ceasefire. He highlights the cases of Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Algeria, and Lebanon, among others, which are being pressured to move closer to Tel Aviv.

But a new vector must be added to Hijazi's analysis: under what material conditions would a Palestinian state exist, an option that Israel will never accept? What would a ceasefire achieve if the restoration of basic economic and social conditions in the Strip is not guaranteed, something that Israel will not allow either? There are no simple answers to these questions.

While a ceasefire would alleviate the suffering of Gazans, the genocide has already progressed to the point where even minimal living conditions for the population are no longer possible. A temporary ceasefire does not address the demographic, social, and human fracture created by Tel Aviv's extermination operation.

Everything indicates that Israel will not budge until it turns Gaza into a rubble-strewn graveyard. Tablet, one of the most proactive Zionist magazines and politically positioned to the right of Netanyahu—which is saying something— advocates the complete annihilation of the Palestinian territory as a guarantee of Israel's continued existence. Liel Leibovitz , the magazine's editor, stated in a July 22 article:

"What we cannot do under any circumstances is return to the October 6 mentality, to believe that our enemies view the world with the same rationality as we do or that they value anything—the lives of their children, for example, or the well-being of their citizens—more than the systematic annihilation of the Jews. Anyone who continues to talk about international intervention, humanitarian aid, or economic development is simply advocating a repetition of the same costly mistake, only next time, probably, with a much higher death toll."

Leibovitz, in short, is referring to the (small but still ubiquitous) notion that it is possible to reach an agreement with Hamas, negotiate a peace deal, and build a binational consensus on the future of the Palestinian territories. For the author, this represents an affront that must be vigorously combated, as October 7th would have demonstrated that there is nothing left to negotiate.

This pro-annihilation and pro-extermination of Palestine mentality will not end with a ceasefire. Ending the genocide is an existential goal of Zionism, which has linked its own destiny to that of the Israeli state project.

Hamas Calls Out Arab Regimes’ Silence and Complicity

Cairo | A wave of anger is rippling through Egypt’s political and intelligence circles following a recent statement by Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya, which coincided with protests outside Egyptian embassies in several countries. According to sources speaking to Al-Akhbar, Cairo accuses the Muslim Brotherhood of orchestrating these protests to undermine Egypt’s role in Gaza.

In a speech last Sunday, al-Hayya said that “there is no point in continuing negotiations under conditions of extermination, starvation, and siege targeting our children, women, and people in Gaza. He stressed that “immediate and dignified entry of food and humanitarian aid” is the true test of whether negotiations are meaningful, rejecting what he called the exploitation of Palestinian suffering as leverage to advance the Israeli entity’s political aims.

Addressing the Egyptian people directly, Al-Hayya said: “O our people and brothers in Egypt, your political and social standing is known to us, and we know you feel the pain of your brothers in Gaza. O people of Egypt, its leaders, army tribes, Azhar, and churches, will your brothers in Gaza die of hunger at your borders? We look confidently to great Egypt to make its decisive stance clear: Gaza will not starve, and Rafah’s crossing will not remain closed.” According to sources, Egyptian authorities viewed this as a direct rebuke.

In response, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, in a televised speech on Monday, appealed to the international community, including the EU, US, and regional Arab states, saying that Egypt is exerting maximum effort to end the war and ensure the delivery of aid. He added, in what he described as his “personal assessment,” that Donald Trump is “the one capable of stopping the war, facilitating aid, and ending this suffering”.

Al-Sisi affirmed that “many aid trucks are ready to cross through Rafah”, noting that “Egypt will not prevent them,” but “the crossing must be opened from the Palestinian side”. He framed his remarks as a direct response to accusations circulating in the media and a reaffirmation of Egypt’s longstanding “positive stances.”

The backlash was not limited to Egypt. Jordanian officials were also reportedly angered by al-Hayya’s appeal to the Jordanian public, in which he said: “We turn to you with hope and fraternity. Just as your sons were martyred on the borders of Palestine, we ask you to intensify your efforts to stop this brutal extermination and prevent the enemy from dividing al-Aqsa or imposing an alternative homeland.” According to the sources, “this latest episode of anger has brought together states that had previously disagreed on their approach to Hamas”, namely the UAE, Jordan, and Egypt. They added that al-Hayya’s remarks were met with swift, high-level diplomatic contacts aimed at rejecting any attempt to blame Arab states for the siege or for the deadlock in negotiations.

A senior Egyptian foreign ministry official told Al-Akhbar that al-Hayya’s statements may have been driven by the need to ease internal pressure on Hamas amid the deepening humanitarian crisis. Still, the official said, “the tone and manner in which they were delivered were entirely unacceptable to Cairo.” The official reiterated Egypt’s categorical rejection of assuming full responsibility for Gaza if a ceasefire is reached, insisting that any future arrangements, whether regarding Rafah or Gaza’s postwar administration, must involve a shared framework with the international community.

Arab states call on Hamas to ‘disarm,’ give up governance in Gaza

The Arab League, Turkiye, and the EU have backed a declaration calling for a path toward a two-state solution and an end to the war in Gaza

Arab League nations and Turkiye issued a joint statement at the UN session in New York on 29 July, calling on Hamas to disarm and give up governance of Gaza.

The UN meeting began on Monday, framed as an effort to revive the idea of a two-state solution.

“In the context of ending the war in Gaza, Hamas must end its rule in Gaza and hand over its weapons to the Palestinian Authority, with international engagement and support, in line with the objective of a sovereign and independent Palestinian State,” said a joint declaration signed by 17 countries, including the EU, Turkiye, and Arab states.

We condemn the attacks committed by Hamas against civilians on the 7th of October. We also condemn the attacks by Israel against civilians in Gaza and civilian infrastructure, siege and starvation, which have resulted in a devastating humanitarian catastrophe and protection crisis,” the statement added.

The statement called for an end to Israeli land grabs and settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank, and a return to 1967 borders.

It stressed the Palestinian people’s “right to return” to where they were expelled from during the Nakba in 1948. It also urged the rehabilitation of the Palestinian economy, and the removal of “hateful” material from the Palestinian Authority (PA) education system.

Additionally, it calls on Israel to “issue a clear public commitment to the Two-State Solution, including a sovereign, and viable Palestinian State.”

The session was cochaired by France and Saudi Arabia, and was initially scheduled for June.

France called the New York Declaration “both historic and unprecedented” and called on UN states to support it.

“For the first time, Arab countries and those in the Middle East condemn Hamas, condemn 7 October, call for the disarmament of Hamas, call for its exclusion from Palestinian governance, and clearly express their intention to normalize relations with Israel in the future,” said French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot.

Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan also called on all states to back the declaration.

Washington and Tel Aviv boycotted the meeting, with the US calling it “productive and ill-timed” and Israel accusing the international community of turning a “blind eye” to Hamas’s “terrorism.”

France announced recently that it will recognize a Palestinian state during the 79th General Assembly session in September.

On Tuesday, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Britain would also recognize Palestine in September unless Israel takes steps toward ending the war in Gaza and reviving the peace process.

Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu said the move would be a “reward for Hamas’s monstrous terrorism.”

Tel Aviv has been threatening recently that international recognition of Palestinian statehood will be met with an acceleration of plans to illegally annex the occupied West Bank.

According to Israeli Channel 12 correspondent Amit Segal, Tel Aviv is expected to make a pivotal decision within 48 hours, saying that if Hamas does not release the captives, Israel could proceed with the formal annexation of parts of Gaza.

According to Israeli law, undoing annexation would require either a supermajority of 80 Knesset members or approval through a national referendum.

Israel has been rapidly expanding settlements in the occupied West Bank under Netanyahu’s government. In Gaza, Israeli forces are moving to take over the strip and forcibly relocating its population.

The Israeli blockade on the enclave has resulted in a total famine. Dozens, including children, have died of starvation in recent weeks.

Egypt training hundreds of Palestinians for 'Gaza security roles'

Cairo’s plan for Gaza governance post-genocide emerges as Israel ramps up annexation efforts and dismisses the possibility of Palestinian statehood

Egypt is training hundreds of Palestinians to assume security responsibilities in Gaza after the war ends, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty told Al Arabiya in an interview yet to be aired.

“Egypt is training hundreds of Palestinians to take on security responsibilities in Gaza,” Abdelatty said, adding that Cairo has a clear plan for governance and security in the strip following the end of hostilities.

He said the plan is already being implemented. In April, he told the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkiye that Egypt had begun recruiting and training Palestinian police who would “take care of the law, order, and security in Gaza.”

At the time, he also stated that Egypt was prepared to support the deployment of an international force “to provide security and protection for the Palestinians.”

Abdelatty confirmed that Egypt continues to work toward a ceasefire and holds daily talks with Qatar and the US. He accused Israel of weaponizing hunger, saying starvation in Gaza is “beyond imagination.”

Cairo’s initiative was first unveiled in March as part of a $53 billion reconstruction and governance proposal endorsed by the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

It came in response to US President Donald Trump’s announcement that Washington would “take over” Gaza and relocate its population.

According to a source cited by Ultra Palestine in April, around 300 Palestinian Authority (PA) officers were selected for training in Egypt, with personnel instructed not to refuse the assignment “under penalty of liability.”

The source said the training would last two months and declined to elaborate on the assigned tasks.

The Egyptian plan envisions a phased reconstruction process and transfer of authority from Hamas to the PA. The Palestinian resistance has agreed to a previous Egyptian proposal for a Community Support Committee to govern Gaza, but rejected Cairo’s demand that it hand over its weapons.

The demand to disarm has been renewed and endorsed by the Arab League and Turkiye in the latest UN session in New York that took place on 29 July.

Israel has been continuously escalating military operations across Gaza and has made disarmament a condition for any ceasefire.

On Tuesday, Israeli ministers reportedly discussed formally occupying and annexing parts of Gaza.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich recently led a far-right conference promoting Israeli resettlement in the strip as a “Gaza Riviera.”

Chris Hedges: Abolishing the First Amendment
July 31, 2025

The burlesque in a committee room of the New Jersey state house over a law conflating anti-Zionism with antisemitism was another depressing reminder of our path towards an authoritarian state.

Image
The Final, Final Solution – by Mr. Fish.

By Chris Hedges
ScheerPost

I testified at the New Jersey state capital in Trenton last week against Bill A3558, which would adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism, which conflates anti-Zionism with antisemitism.

“This is a dangerous assault on free speech by seeking to criminalize legitimate criticism of Israeli policies,” I said.

“The Trump administration’s campaign to ostensibly root out antisemitism on college campuses is clearly a trope to shut down free speech and deport non-citizens, even if they are here legally. This bill falsely conflates ethnicity with a political state. And let’s be clear, the brunt of repression on college campuses is directed against students and faculty who oppose the genocide in Gaza, 3,000 of whom were arrested and hundreds of whom were censored, suspended or expelled. Many of these students are Jewish. What about their rights? What about their constitutional protections?”

“I have had numerous relationships with Israeli journalists and political leaders,” I went on.

“I knew, for example, former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin who negotiated the Oslo peace agreement. Rabin was assassinated in 1995 by an Israeli ultranationalist who opposed the peace accord. Rabin stated bluntly on numerous occasions that the occupation was harmful to Israel. Israeli colleagues frequently criticize Israeli policies in the Israeli press in language that would be defined as antisemitic by this bill.”

“For example,” I continued, “the Israeli journalist Gideon Levy, who served in the Israeli army and writes for the newspaper Haaretz, has called for sanctions to be imposed on Israel to stop the slaughter in Gaza, saying ‘Do to Israel what you did to South Africa.’”

Image

“Omer Bartov, who served as an Israeli company commander in the 1973 war, is professor of Holocaust and genocide studies at Brown University,” I said. “He stated in an article on July 15 in The New York Times that his ‘inescapable conclusion has become that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people.’”

“These kinds of statements, and many more I can quote from Israeli colleagues and friends, would see them under this bill criminalized as antisemites,” I added.

Committee chairman Robert Karabinchak, a Democrat, muted my microphone, banged his hammer for me to stop and allowed gaggles of Zionists, who openly harassed and insulted Muslims in the room, to jeer and shout me down.

There I was arguing that this bill would curtail my free speech, at the same time I was being denied free speech.

You can see my full testimony here.

This cognitive dissonance defines the United States and Israel.

The committee chairman also muted Raz Segal, the Israeli historian and genocide scholar and, in an especially callous move, chastised Mehdi Rabee, whose 14-year-old brother Amer was killed by Israeli soldiers in April 2025.

“My 14-year-old brother who was from Saddlebrook, New Jersey, was murdered by the IDF,” Mehdi, his voice shaking with emotion, told the committee.

“All he was doing was picking olives from an olive tree with his friends, which we have been doing as Palestinians for thousands of years. My brother, whom I will never see again, my brother who my parents will never watch graduate from high school or college. Assemblywoman Swain, my father and the Palestinian-American Community Center tried reaching out to you over and over. And all that we were met with was nothing but silence. Given your silence, you should not have the right to even consider voting for this bill until you meet with my family, who are under your district.”

“I am going to ask you to stick to the bill,” Karabinchak interrupted.

“This bill puts at risk my First Amendment right to criticize Israel for what they have done to my brother,” he went on.

“I have a right to call Israel whatever I want to call it. When their policies mirror that of the Nazis, I have a right to call it as it is. I call on you to vote no in remembrance of my brother.”

You can see Mehdi’s statement here.

Image

Karabinchak, angered that supporters gave Rabee a standing ovation, reduced all testimonies critical of the bill from three minutes to one minute.

“Time is down to one minute,” he told the crowd of about 400 in the committee and four overflow rooms. “I’m going to ask everybody now to speak, who wants to speak, is going to say ‘I oppose the bill’ or ‘I support the bill.’”

He paused.

“Let’s have some more claps,” he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

“Let’s be happy now, right? I didn’t throw you out like I said I was going to. So now you just stifled the other people who have a right to speak. That’s what you just did! Understand what you did! Okay? One minute. One minute. That’s it. And I’m not going to be nice and say let’s rap it up. I’m going to shut the mic off. ”

Our sin was that we dared to mention the unmentionable – the genocide in Gaza.

The Zionists in the room were verbally and physically abusive to the Muslims who had come to oppose the bill. One Zionist repeatedly shoved himself into the bodies of those outside the state capitol holding a rally against the bill.

You can see his harassment here.

Amy Gallatin, who is on the commission of the West Orange Human Relations Commission, “established by municipal ordinance in 1992 in order to create and foster values of diversity, equity and inclusion among groups in the community,” pulled up pictures on her iPad in one of the overflow rooms and said to those seated around her “Look, it’s Mohammed!”

You can see her Islamophobic hate speech here.

When Rabbi Yitzchok Deutsch made an emotional plea to save the people of Gaza Lisa Swain of District 38 and Assemblyman Avi Schnall of District 30, both Democrats, snickered and laughed as he spoke.

You can see their reactions to Rabbi Deutsch here.

Zionists, who painted lurid pictures of Jews living under harassment and in fear for their lives, and of Nazism supposedly running amok on the streets of New Jersey, were not muted, although their statements were hyperbolic to the extreme and often a product of over-active imaginations.

They openly salivated at the adoption of the bill, which they said would give law enforcement the tools to criminalize those who engage in hate speech, which, if you read the “contemporary examples of antisemitism,” that accompany the IHRA, include speech that criticizes Israeli policies.

The IHRA has been adopted by 35 states, the District of Columbia and universities such as Harvard and Columbia.

“The IHRA working definition of antisemitism includes protected criticism of Israel and its policies,” writes the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

“For example, the definition declares that ‘denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor,’ ‘drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis,’ and ‘applying double standards by requiring of [Israel] a behavior not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation’ are all examples of antisemitism.”

“If the Department of Education were to adopt this definition, and investigate universities for Title VI complaints based on it, college and university administrators would likely silence a range of protected speech including criticism of the Israeli government’s treatment of Palestinians, analogies likening Israeli policies to those of Nazi Germany, or sharing differing beliefs about the right to a Jewish state,” the ACLU continues.

“People may disagree about whether such speech is antisemitic, but that debate is irrelevant to the First Amendment, which prohibits the government from censoring or penalizing core political speech.”

[See: Misdirecting the Fight Against Anti-Semitism]

U.S. attorney Kenneth S. Stern — a self-professed Zionist and the lead drafter of what became the IHRA definition of antisemitism — laments that the IHRA has been “grossly abused” to “restrict academic freedom and punish political speech,” including “pro-Palestinian speech.”

The five committee members, who had clearly made up their minds before they entered the packed hearing room, unanimously passed the measure, which will go to the floor of the State Assembly for a vote. They will, like all politicians who bow before the dictates of the Israel lobby, no doubt, be compensated for their perfidy.

America, like Israel, exists in a parallel reality. It denies the stark and incontrovertible reality of the live-streamed genocide. It slanders anyone, including Israeli holocaust scholars such as Professor Segal, as antisemites.

I know, sadly, where this goes. I witnessed it in the many dictatorships I covered as a foreign correspondent for two decades in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and the Balkans.

Those of us who fight for an open society are silenced, attacked as traitors and criminals. We are blacklisted, censored and at times, locked up. If we can escape in time, we are forced into exile. As we are silenced, the sycophants, grifters, Christian fascists, billionaires, Zionists and thugs, elevated to the highest positions in the federal government by the Trump White House, are rewarded with absolute power, luxury and debauchery.

Our corporate-indentured ruling class has no genuine political ideology. Political parties are a farce, a species of entertainment to beguile the population in our pretend democracy. Liberalism, and the values it claims to represent, is a spent and bankrupt force.

The burlesque in the committee room in Trenton was another depressing reminder that there is little now that will halt our path towards an authoritarian state, not the press, not the universities, not the courts, which cannot enforce the few rulings made by courageous judges, not the political class, including the Democratic Party, and not the electoral process.

We must resist, if only to assert our integrity and dignity, if only to stand in solidarity with the oppressed, if only to slow the consolidation of tyranny, if only to revel in the small pyrrhic victories that resistance alone makes possible.

But we should not be fooled.

Israeli Army Admits Targeting of Civilians Seeking Aid in Gaza

July 31, 2025 Hour: 3:28 am

The Israeli army acknowledged shooting at Gazan civilians who approached the Zikim border crossing in the northern part of the enclave on Wednesday afternoon to receive humanitarian aid trucks, in incidents during which medical sources say at least 30 people were killed. The Zionist military labels them as “warning shots”.

This has become a common practice in the Strip, where the population, experiencing famine due to the Israeli blockade, rushes en masse to obtain food.

The killings occurred between 7:00 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. local time (4:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. GMT), during what are known as “tactical pauses” between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., announced in recent days by the Israeli army, during which it said it would refrain from attacking certain areas of the Palestinian enclave to facilitate the entry and distribution of aid.

Israeli forces fired warning shots just inches from a crowd of aid seekers waiting for a UN convoy carrying food supplies. However, Israel intentionally delays convoys and aid trucks at checkpoints, then forces them to pass through unprotected areas. This leads civilians to risk… pic.twitter.com/qx31x5uMBr

— Quds News Network (@QudsNen) July 31, 2025
These deaths add to the 1,239 people who have been killed by Israeli army fire while attempting to collect aid since the distribution of humanitarian assistance under military control began in the Strip at the end of May, following more than two months of total blockade.

According to WAFA News Agency, the overall death toll from attacks targeting aid seekers over the past 24 hours has reached 60, with more than 195 wounded.

Israel Is Routinely Raping Palestinians in Its Torture Dungeons
July 30, 2025

By Palestine Will Be Free – Jul 28, 2025

“This is a vile place. A narrow cell where the prisoner is placed, tortured, and raped, away from the surveillance cameras.”

A journalist, who was abducted from Tulkarem in the West Bank last year, has revealed the horrific abuse — including degrading assaults with hard objects amounting to rape and sexual torture — to which Palestinians in Israeli torture dungeons have been routinely subjected to, especially after October 7.

Journalist Sami Al‑Sa’i, who was abducted from the West Bank and spent 16 months in Israeli dungeons, recently recounted acts of horrific abuse that caused rectal bleeding for 22 days. Despite the severe injuries inflicted on Palestinian detainees, Israelis have denied them access to doctors and medicines. This leaves the detainees in excruciating pain. Al-Sa’i recollected: “I couldn’t even ask for a doctor or anything. You had to take care of yourself. So I asked the guys for tissues — whatever was available. I fashioned them into plugs and inserted them into my rectum to absorb the blood and prevent it from flowing out.”

Here is Sami recollecting his ordeal in the Israeli dungeons:

“They stripped me of my lower clothing and forced me into a prostration position on the ground. Then they began a form of indirect rape — which entailed bleeding and extreme psychological distress. This continued for about 22 days until the bleeding stopped. They then took me to another location, my hands tied behind my back. This started from the very first moment — all the beatings happened while I was handcuffed from behind, blindfolded. You couldn’t see anything; you didn’t know where the next blow would come from.

“Later, they took me to another place. I discovered that the cell was very small. They stripped me of my lower clothing again, forced me into the prostration position on the ground, and began another act of indirect rape — with sticks and other sharp or hard objects. This went on for about half an hour. I felt immense pain and psychological suffering. You don’t know what to do. You scream. You beg. You’re in agony. But no one responds.

“All of this happened amid their laughter, chuckling, and insults — all spoken fluently in Arabic. They spoke during the entire thirty minutes of this journey of torment, beatings, rape, and assault. And because I’m a journalist — from the moment I entered, they knew I was a journalist. They would say ‘You’re a journalist.’ Because I’m a journalist, the beatings intensified. The torture increased.

“After that, they transferred me to the Ma’bar section. I was fasting — it was the holy month of Ramadan, in March 2024. I entered the Ma’bar, and along the way I was dragged at times, carried at times, beaten at times. When I entered one of the rooms, the other prisoners welcomed me — they knew that anyone who arrived new would have been beaten. I rested a little. Then I went to the bathroom to shower.

“That’s when I discovered I was bleeding from the rectal area. There was no medical care — severe and widespread neglect. I couldn’t even ask for a doctor or anything. You had to take care of yourself. So I asked the guys for tissues — whatever was available. I fashioned them into plugs and inserted them into my rectum to absorb the blood and prevent it from flowing out.

“This went on for about twenty-two days — the bleeding and psychological trauma. After that, I began to recover, to regain my strength through my relationship with the other prisoners — talking to them, laughing with them.

“Later, I returned to the place where I had been raped. When I found the clothes I had lost, in the spot where I had been forced into prostration, they smelled of urine, blood, pus, and vomit. This is a filthy place. A place where torture is carried out. A place where abuse is inflicted on our prisoner brothers. A very harsh place, where torture is carried out, because it’s far away. But this place is away from the surveillance cameras installed inside the prison. No one sees them, they feel free to carry out their ‘hobbies’ of repression, abuse, and beatings as they please. This is a vile place. A narrow cell where the prisoner is placed, tortured, and raped, away from the surveillance cameras. And that’s where they acted, violating me from behind with hard objects like sticks. They tried to insert the inspection stick, I recognised it because it buzzes and makes a sound. They tried to insert it, but it was too large. It wouldn’t go in. This caused more injury. And they kept beating and beating and beating. Insults, abuse, targeting us, our wives, our sisters, and our mothers — all in Arabic.”

Sami is just the latest of the Palestinian abductees to reveal the sexual abuse Palestinians are being subjected to in the Israeli torture camps.

Ibrahim Salem, who was abducted from Gaza and sexually abused in the Israeli torture camps in the Negev desert last year, similarly testified that rape was a common humiliation tactic employed by the Israelis. “Nothing was more humiliating than when they made me take off my clothes, or when they inserted this object into mu butt, or when a young female soldier kept [touching my penis],” he told Middle East Eye last August. “There’s even more and more.”

In a 49-page March report titled “More than a human can bear”: Israel’s systematic use of sexual, reproductive and other forms of gender-based violence since 7 October 2023, a UN commission concluded that “sexual and gender-based violence was intended not only to humiliate, punish and intimidate the individual Palestinians but the civilian population as a whole, with the objective to subordinate, destroy and expel the Palestinian community.”

‘More than a human can bear’: How Israel has systematically raped and sexually abused Palestinians since October 7

From striping Palestinians naked to spitting and urinating on them, inserting fingers, electrical rods, carrots, broomsticks, and other objects in their anuses to raping them to death, a new UN report on “Israel’s systematic use of sexual, reproductive and other forms of gender-based violence” has listed horrifying details of sexual abuse of the Palestinians in both Gaza and the West Bank at the hands of the Israeli military and settlers alike since October 7, 2023.

An August 2024 report by B’Tselem titled Welcome to Hell also detailed systemic abuse of the Palestinians in Israeli torture camps. The report devoted a section to sexual abuse. “We were taken to a room which had a lot of clothes, shoes, rings and watches scattered in it. We were stripped naked and even had to take off our underwear,” Sami Khalili, a 41-year-old detainee held since 2003, told B’Tselem. “We were searched with a hand-held metal detector. They forced us to spread our legs and then sit half crouching. Then they started hitting us on our private parts with the detector.”

The most notorious case, however, has been that of Islam al-Sarsawi. His case has also shone a bright light on the total moral bankruptcy of Israeli society.

Al-Sarsawi was abducted from Gaza and was subsequently anally raped with metal rods and other objects that left him with “torn rectum, broken ribs, ruptured bowels & damaged lungs” in the notorious Sde Teiman torture camp. Al-Sarsawi’s ordeal was captured on camera. He subsequently died.

In the aftermath of Al-Sarsawi’s rape, an Israeli politician stated in the Knesset that “everything is legitimate” regarding the treatment of Palestinians, while a journalist lamented that the rape of Palestinians inside Israeli dungeons was not official state policy. When there was an attempt to take the rapist Israelis in for questioning, countless Israelis laid siege on the Negev torture camp to prevent it. Subsequently, Israelis took to the streets to assert their “right to rape” the Palestinians at will. The leader of the rapists, Meir Ben-Shitrit, went on to become a celebrity, appearing on TV shows in Israel. Meir Mazuz, a top Israeli rabbi, blessed the soldiers who gang-raped Al-Sarsawi, telling the rapists: “You beat the enemy, so what? It’s all good… Don’t we have the right to do it?… In any other country, they’d get medals… Don’t fear the goyim.” In a poll that same month, a staggering 65 percent of Israeli Jews supported gang‑raping Palestinians.

Israeli society, which accused the Palestinian resistance of systemic rape on October 7 without ever producing a single credible piece of evidence or one victim, has a serious rape problem, with every stratum implicated in it.

Moreover, Israel is a safe haven for Jewish paedophiles from all over the world.

Israel and rape

Image

The resistance to the ongoing Israeli genocidal campaign in Gaza by the Palestinian groups in the enclave and by Hezbollah in northern occupied Palestine has forced hundreds of thousands of Israelis to flee from the homes they stole from the Palestinians in the so-called Gaza envelope (the areas bordering Gaza) and northern historic Palestine. Those who fled the bombardments of the resistance have been accommodated by the Zionist state in hundreds of hotels all throughout Israel.
The complete dehumanisation of the Palestinians, in service of the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, has rendered their bodies and minds a free-for-all. Furthermore, the total moral bankruptcy of the Western press and other supposed “international institutions” has meant that hardly anyone is speaking out as besieged Palestinians are being routinely subjected to rampant sexual abuse and rape.

Gaza Humanitarian Foundation partner endorsed Hitler, called Muslims ‘rapists’ and Palestine a ‘shit hole’
Jack Poulson·July 31, 2025

Matthew Murphy, a former Green Beret and president of Sentinel Foundation, has recently praised Hitler on Instagram and claimed to be conducting ‘manhunting’ for an unnamed African prime minister.

His foundation is closely partnered with the notorious Gaza Humanitarian Foundation “aid” operation.

This article was originally published by Jack Poulson at All-Source Intelligence.

“I do exorcisms now, all day, pretty much,” stated Dr. Michael Cocchini, the author of the book “The War Within,” during a gathering of ‘Christian warriors’ at the late country music star Kenny Rogers’s Copperline Ranch in Nashville on December 11. “I kind of gave up medicine; I felt it was the remnant of Babylonian witchcraft,” explained the medical doctor, further stating that “we see people get healed from schizophrenia … a one hour exorcism and they’ll never hear voices again.”

Organized by Stephen Prouse of the Pennsylvania-based “spiritual warfare” ministry The Fourth Watch and its partner Fifth Horseman Ministries, the male-only gathering of primarily U.S. military veterans was promoted on Instagram by the former 5th Special Forces Group soldier and self-described Battle of Conoco Fields participant and CIA detailee Matthew Murphy as “possibly the most shadowbanned group of men.”

Former Navy SEAL Team 5 member Neil Dyer told the group of his time “destroying Christians” in his platoon for not being masculine enough, stating that “I would make them drink and I would tell them ‘You are not man enough to go do the work that we need to do down range. Who do you think you are? Do you think you have a god that’s tough and will make you go kick down doors and canoe faces?” (As documented by investigative journalist Matthew Cole, SEALs refer to the practice of splitting open the skull of a target by firing a bullet at close range as “canoeing.”)

A screenshot from one hour and 51 minutes into the first of two episodes of “My Brother’s Keeper,” a discussion of the need for a more masculine version of Christianity hosted by the “spiritual warfare” ministry The Fourth Watch at Kenny Rogers’s Copperline Ranch on December 11, 2024. Dr. Michael Cocchini, in focus, is advocating for the healing powers of exorcism, with Sentinel Foundation president Matt Murphy out of focus in the bottom right, wearing a Sentinel Foundation hat.

Both Sentinel Foundation — formerly the Child Exploitation Prevention Foundation — and the private military contractor UG Solutions were co-founded in North Carolina by the former 7th Special Forces Group member Jameson Govoni. UG Solutions provides the boots on the ground for a bilateral U.S.-Israeli civil affairs operation in Gaza against Hamas, known as the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which expanded into aid distribution across four sites in the region following UG and its partner, Safe Reach Solutions (SRS), opening a vehicle inspection checkpoint along Gaza’s Netzarim corridor in January.

Safe Reach Solutions is led by former CIA special activities chief Philip F. Reilly and, along with UG Solutions, partnered with Sentinel in March to pass out water bottles and fruits in Gaza.

Despite the gesture from the trio of organizations, the United Nations human rights office reported at least 674 killings of Gazans outside of GHF distribution sites, as of July 13, and reports indicated deaths from the Israeli military lethally shelling Palestinians seeking aid at a GHF site northwest of Rafah on the morning of July 14. Despite the State Department announcing a $30 million payment to retroactively fund GHF’s June operations, the payment has yet to publicly proceed, and members of the U.S. Congress continue to question the support.

(Even though GHF is heavily associated with Christian evangelicals, its private military contractor, UG Solutions, hired a crisis communications firm led by several former Obama and Biden staffers, Seven Letter. The primary spokesperson, Andrew O’Brien, is a former special representative under Secretary of State John Kerry.)

The Sentinel Foundation’s overlap with both the U.S. special operations community and “spiritual warfare” concepts — a centering of an alleged real-world battle between Christians and demons, with the solution frequently being exorcisms — is far from unique. The author of this publication previously reported on the spiritual warfare practices of the retired marine and “high-risk missionary” Victor Marx, whose All Things Possible Ministries was the original home of the special operations-themed counter-trafficking nonprofit Skull Games, led by the evangelical retired Delta Force Lt. Col. Jeff Tiegs. (“I hunt pedophiles, but I also hunt demons,” declared Marx in a 2023 podcast interview.)

The Chicago-based private equity firm McNally Capital has confirmed an “economic interest” in Safe Reach Solutions and to helping form the company in late 2024; McNally further recently became the owner of the company which co-launched Skull Games. The first Skull Games “hunt” in Tampa took place in December 2021 in the office of Echo Analytics Group, whose founder and former Defense Intelligence Agency officer Buddy Jericho subsequently joined the nonprofit’s board, months after the analytics firm was acquired by the intelligence contractor Quiet Professionals, under the leadership of retired Delta Force Sgt. Maj. Andy Wilson. QP was subsequently acquired by McNally Capital earlier this year and has helped support an evacuation mission out of Israel, named Operation Olive Shield.

In the months prior to the November 2024 legal formation of SRS and the GHF, Mr. Govoni and his Sentinel co-founder, former Delta Force intel officer Glenn W. Devitt Jr., stepped down from their leadership roles with the nonprofit, with Mr. Murphy remaining as president. Murphy and Devitt had met through a mutual funder, the evangelical Christian former Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, as part of a mission to extract interpreters from Afghanistan. “I flew down and that’s when I first met the Sentinel guys, Glenn and the whole team. You had one of the guys who founded Delta Force in the room, Senators in there, and then a bunch of Delta operators,” Murphy told the former mixed martial arts fighter Ed Clay during a January 2024 podcast interview.

Murphy was then running his own Tennessee-based counter-trafficking nonprofit, Operation Light Shine (OLS) — much of it while still active duty, according to his own telling and LinkedIn profile — whose INTERCEPT Task Forces faced opposition from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), including in response to Murphy publishing a photo of a bullet on Facebook captioned with the message “The Cure for Pedophilia.” Murphy characterized a TBI officer’s thinking as, “‘[Murphy is] another one of these special operations a-holes that’s going to get us all in trouble and do vigilante stuff.’”

Murphy emphasized his need to publicly separate from Tebow in his interview with Mr. Clay, stating that, “it wasn’t that Tim and I parted ways, so to speak, I just wanted to do things in a way where who I am as a man and what I believe and what I stand for did not negatively drag Tim into something.”

In response to a question from Clay regarding Israel’s mass killings of Gazan civilians — with estimates of more than 28,000 killed women and children — Murphy responded that “These idiots that are speaking out against it, they don’t understand how war works,” adding that, “Palestine is not a real state” and is full of “nomads and unwanted people from Western Asia and other Arab nations that all came together and started saying they are Palestinians, in the old area of Palestine, which is part of Israel.”

“Killing and beheading and raping and treating, you know, Christian and Jewish women as lesser-than and slaves is not just something terrorists think, it’s Islam,” Murphy argued.

“Palestine is a little shit hole with no exports, no oil, nothing,” stated Murphy later in the interview, in the context of apparent foreign funding for the Palestinian resistance. “You have these wealthy companies feeding money, feeding weapons, ammunition, and then feeding hate, and accomplishing half the goals of the Quran, through the poor people who just get radicalized, ‘Mohammed Jihad,’ kind of like Team America.”

Murphy further advertised Sentinel’s extraction of 65 Americans from Gaza with help from U.S. Senators Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC), which was first reported by the French outlet Intelligence Online.

Toward the end of the interview, Mr. Murphy told the former MMA fighter that “I’m seeing a lot of similarities between what happened to the Jews in Nazi Germany starting to happen to white people in the Western world.”

During a video interview recorded on the same day as President Trump’s inauguration earlier this year, Murphy predicted that Trump would declassify the existence of aliens — “people that aren’t human” — as well as the “truth about who has been destroying the world.” In a clear allusion to Israel, Murphy added that, “There is a reason that Trump, the first time, did not release the JFK files, on who shot JFK.” “What people don’t really get is, the love of money is the root of all evil,” Murphy further stated, suggesting that listeners look up Ian Carroll, the online influencer behind the website CancelThisClothingCompany.com.

Murphy has also repeatedly publicly posted on Instagram with praise of Adolf Hitler, who led the German Nazi Party through its genocide of roughly six million Jews, including as a “devout Christian and Catholic” who rose to power from “the destruction of the German economy by communist Jews with usury.” “The no debt system Hitler built allowed society and the human mind to prosper,” Murphy posted to Instagram on June 27, adding that, “now just imagine if Trump could do what he said he would do and remove us from the systems of debt and control like the Federal Reserve and IRS. I’m rooting for Trump.”

Founded by former Delta Force intel officer Glenn Devitt in 2017, along with his “work wife” and former 7th Special Forces Group member Jameson Govoni, Sentinel Foundation was a reaction to what Mr. Devitt has described as amateur behavior at Operation Underground Railroad (OUR), the controversial nonprofit behind the 2023 film “Sound of Freedom” which was previously led by former Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agent Tim Ballard. (Devitt and Govoni also founded the boozing-prophylactic company Alcohol Armor, with Devitt stating in a now-deleted promotional video that, as a result of heavy drinking from undercover operations “rescuing children around the world, we had to really pre-emptive strike the hangover.”)

Sentinel Foundation’s most prominent public endorsement has come from the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), which in 2018 credited Devitt as an investigative consultant, and named Sentinel Foundation as a partner, on an undercover operation to expose foreigners trafficking children from a Rohingya refugee camp. According to Devitt’s public telling, the BBC story was a collaboration with a DARPA dark web program — apparently Memex — which provided information on the “rat line” used for the trafficking to the BBC. (BBC did not respond to a request for comment.)

As recounted in numerous podcast interviews, Mr. Devitt transitioned out of U.S. special operations more than a decade ago as a result of a back injury, receiving computer forensics training from HSI’s Human Exploitation Rescue Operation (HERO) Corps. (Both Mr. Devitt and Mr. Murphy have closely worked with former HSI supervisory special agent Jim Cole.)

Mr. Devitt subsequently formed a business to train government agencies in “cyber enabled operations,” Delitor, Inc., receiving just over $40,000 in contracts spread across DHS, the Navy, and the Justice Department between 2016 and 2018.

Matt Murphy has been quietly setting up his own for-profit special operations contractor, TruNorth, for at least the past three years, including in partnership with the “ethical hacker” Ryan Montgomery, whom Sentinel Foundation recently announced as its new CTO. Murphy stated that his first landmark “manhunting” contract came shortly after he considered filing chapter 11 bankruptcy for TruNorth “this past June.”

“Two days later I get a call that we won the contract for an entire country of an African nation, and now we’ve got a whole team over there. I can’t say the country because of certain things, but we’re doing manhunting and strategic intelligence at the prime minister and MoD [Ministry of Defense] level,” stated Murphy. “It was just like a windfall of contracts after that, all over the Middle East, all over Africa, and now all of South America,” Murphy boasted.

Murphy further noted that he lives in a house in the unnamed African country, within a “secured compound,” alongside a roughly one-year-old lion named Doug, and that one of his neighbors “a couple houses down” lets their own lion run free.

According to Sentinel’s SITREP, Uganda is the only African country the nonprofit has been recently active in, with an operation including “targeting a violent offender involved in family abuse, coordinated with local authorities and partner organizations.”

Appendix

Matt Murphy’s July 23, 2025 Instagram post, as last edited on July 25, contained a video of Rabbi Yaron Reuven of Be’Ezrat HaShem criticizing the Jewish people for high-interest loans in Germany, captioned with the text “Jewish Rabbi says Hitler was right and that Jews destroyed the Germany economy with high interest loans; They just don’t want you to know.” Alongside the video was the following detailed statement from Mr. Murphy’s account:

History repeats itself when you don’t know it. No surprise they erased and changed history. Hitler rose to power in Germany from the German people’s collective resistance to the global sanctions levied on Germany post WWI and the destruction of the German economy by communist Jews with usury. These Jews were part of the group who started the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia that murdered 30-60 million Christian’s and sent Russia into communist control for decades to come. The communist Jews came to Germany and tried the same playbook there that they used to overthrow Russia and the Germans weren’t having it. Hitler, a devout Christian and Catholic (listen to his speeches translated by AI on Rumble and learn the truth for yourself) rose to power. Hitler then created the most powerful economy and nation state banking system the world had ever seen, he then became Time magazines “man of the year” pre WWII for doing so. Hitler is also the reason the initial batch of Jewish settlers could move to Palestine and later create Israel, about 60,000, some say millions, of Jews had their travel and expenses covered to move to Palestine in 1933 by Hitler and Germany in the Haavara Agreement also known as the transfer agreement. The more you know 🌈

A further posting from Mr. Murphy on Sunday, captioned with a quote attributed to Rabbi David Touitou that, “The Jewish Messiah will only appear once Europe and Christianity is totally destroyed. So I ask you, is it good news that Islam invades Europe? It is excellent news! Islam is the broom of Israel,” stated:

The goal of the Zionist state of Israel is to rebuild the 3rd Temple and usher in the Jewish messiah as the ruler of the world. In doing so “Israel will create a one world government, one world standing army and one world religion” – David Ben-Gurion, atheist and the first PM of Israel. Not a surprise with the recent talks about globalization and the new world order, even by some former presidents. In some texts found in the Babylonian Talmud, Christian’s must be killed or enslaved under Jewish rule.

1. Lineage of the Jewish Messiah
The Messiah must meet specific genealogical criteria:
• Descendant of King David: He must come from the royal Davidic line through Solomon
• Tribe of Judah: His ancestry must trace back to the tribe of Judah
• Male Lineage: Orthodox tradition holds that the Messiah’s lineage is patrilineal, meaning it must be through his father
• Direct Lineage: He must be a direct male descendant of King David and King Solomon

2. Qualities of the Jewish Messiah, the Talmud and other rabbinic sources describe the Messiah as:
• Human, not divine: A mortal man, not a supernatural being
• Torah Scholar: Deeply knowledgeable in both written and oral Torah
• Charismatic Leader: Inspires others through righteousness and humility
• Observant Jew: Fully committed to Jewish law and commandments
• Military Leader: Will defend Israel and win battles if necessary
• Judge and King: Will make fair decisions and rule with justice
• Builder of the Third Temple: Will oversee its reconstruction in Jerusalem
• Gatherer of Exiles: Will bring Jews back to Israel from all corners of the earth
• Peacemaker: Will usher in an era of global peace and spirituality

3. Timing of the Messiah’s Arrival, Jewish tradition avoids setting exact dates, but the clues:
• Before Hebrew Year 6000: The Talmud suggests the Messiah will arrive before this year (we’re currently in 5785)
• When Most Needed or Deserved:• In a generation that is either totally righteous or totally guilty
• If Israel observes two Sabbaths in a row properly
• Signs of the Times:• Widespread moral decline and societal confusion
• Global conflict and spiritual yearning
• Return of Jews to Israel

Another recent post to Mr. Murphy’s Instagram account, on June 27, stated:

The truth will set you free, lies only come with shackles and chains…

No matter the evil you believe Hitler did or didn’t do, that is inconsequential to this truth. Hitler was Time magazine’s “Man of the Year” pre WWIl for taking Germany from being the poorest country in the world to the wealthiest most advanced country in the world in just over a decade. Post the WWI sanctions levied on Germany, Hitler removed Germany from the global bank debt system and then created his own central bank and currency with a no debt/interest free system that in just over 10 years made Germany have the strongest economy, industrial complex and the largest advances in science, engineering and medicine the world has ever seen. Those are just facts… not to mention the biggest, most advanced army… which he was forced to use because the global banking system built on debt and usury had to destroy him. History is kinda crazy when you learn what really happened and most importantly why it happened. I’m not here to talk about anything else he did but point out this one, simple fact.

Don’t believe any of the above after you research it? Then google “operation paperclip”…. Post WWII the US brought every single ranking Nazi Scientist, Doctor, and engineer to the US, forgave their war crimes and had them build NASA and revamp the military’s tech along with create many classified government programs. Why would we pardon and then bring every one of them over here? It wasn’t because they were genetically more advanced than us, it happened because for the first time in modern history a people, their money, education and motivation were no longer slaves to a system that only an elite few could thrive and win at. The no debt system Hitler built allowed society and the human mind to prosper, not just prosper they accomplished things men and women in every other controlled country simply could not… now just imagine if Trump could do what he said he would do and remove us from the systems of debt and control like the Federal Reserve and IRS. I’m rooting for Trump

Israeli soldier reveals 'strange order' to cancel Gaza border patrols on 7 Oct

The revelation adds to evidence suggesting Israel knew of the Hamas attack in advance, yet allowed it to occur

An Israeli soldier stated that he and his fellow soldiers stationed at a military outpost near Gaza received orders not to carry out their usual early morning patrol on the border fence on 7 October 2023, Israeli media reported on 17 July.

During the time the border patrol would have normally been carried out, members of Hamas's armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, crossed the fence to attack Israeli army bases and settlements (kibbutzim).

Shalom Sheetrit, a soldier in the Golani Brigade, revealed the directive while giving testimony at a meeting of the lobby for reserve personnel in the Israeli Knesset.

He stated that on the night before the 7 October attack, he and two other soldiers, Yotam Sror and Itamar Ben Yehuda, sat by the battalion radio at the Pega military outpost near Kibbutz Be'eri.

“We were playing on the phone [at 5:20 am] and suddenly a strange message comes from my battalion commander,” the soldier explained, “and what he says on the call is something like this: ‘I don't know why, but an order was issued that there are no patrols at the fence until nine in the morning.’”

Sheetrit said soldiers from the outpost carried out patrols on the border fence every morning “because you are in an operational battalion and that is part of the matter.”

Hamas fighters attacked the Pega outpost and killed 14 Israeli soldiers there during Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.

When asked if this was why many soldiers at the outpost were still sleeping when the Hamas attack began, Sheetrit stated, “I don't know how to answer it that way. In our mortar department, there was an alert at dawn, and we woke up. It's possible that in the patrol departments, they were told not to wake up. I don't know. I don't want to just say that.”

Sheetrit stated that the military units based in the Pega outpost were responsible for protecting Kibbutz Be'eri, which was also attacked by Hamas.

“Unfortunately, we were not up to the task. There were dozens against hundreds of terrorists, 25 against 150, and so we couldn't arrive, unfortunately. I'm far from being a military man who can give answers to questions, the situation hurts me just as it hurts everyone,” the soldier explained.

A major battle took place at Be'eri in which over 100 Israelis were killed.

After the attack began, the Israeli air force deployed Apache Helicopters, tanks, and drones to bomb the kibbutz and the Gaza border nearby to prevent Hamas from taking captives with them back to Gaza.

As a result, Israeli forces burned to death hundreds of Israeli civilians and Hamas fighters in airstrikes in Be'eri and other kibbutzim near the border, as well as at the Nova Music Festival, per a secretive policy known as the Hannibal Directive. The deaths were all quickly blamed on Hamas.

“I tried to ask military personnel why and what happened there. The blood of my friends and the blood of many people in the country was spilled in a huge tragedy, and I tried to understand why it happened and how,” Sheetrit added.

The strange order to cancel routine patrols along the Gaza border adds to evidence that Israeli political and military leaders knew in advance about Hamas's plan to attack on 7 October – and allowed it to happen to justify the conquest and ethnic cleansing of Gaza and the building of Jewish settlements on top of the ruins of the strip's soon-to-be-destroyed cities.

Israeli military and intelligence officials ignored many signals on the night before the attack, and in the previous weeks and months, indicating that Hamas was planning a large attack to take captives to exchange for Palestinian prisoners.

Female Israeli soldiers tasked to observe activity on the Gaza border issued multiple warnings to their superiors that an attack was imminent, but they were ignored.

“In hindsight, we could have done a lot of things, we could have listened to the observers, we could have brought up the air force, and these things didn't happen,” Sheetrit concluded.

“That's the failure. It's not a failure of the fighters on the ground, but of the higher levels in the army, of people who went down to Eilat even though we informed them a week in advance that there was intelligence information.”

US support for Israel's genocide in Gaza hits new low: Poll

The poll also reveals that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has never been viewed in such a negative light

News Desk

JUL 31, 2025

A majority of US citizens are opposed to Israel’s genocidal campaign against the Gaza Strip, according to a new poll released by Gallup on 29 July.

Marking a 10 percent drop from a poll released in September last year, only 32 percent of the US population said they support the war on Gaza, the poll shows – marking a “new low.”

“Disapproval of the military action has now reached 60 percent … 52 percent … now view Benjamin Netanyahu unfavorably, his highest unfavorable rating since 1997. His favorable rating stands at 29 percent, while 19 percent of US adults have no opinion of him,” Gallup said.

It adds that Netanyahu has never been viewed in such a negative light, noting a “continued deterioration in his image.”

The decline in support stands mainly with Democrats and Independents, the poll shows.

Among Democrats, only eight percent of the respondents said they approved of Israel's assault. The figure rose to 25 percent with the Independents.

Gallup had carried out a poll just weeks after Hamas’s Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on 7 October 2023.

In November that year, around half of the US population was in favor of the war.

“Since then, disapproval has outpaced approval in each survey, peaking at 55 percent in March 2024 before dipping to 48 percent in two readings later in the year,” Gallup said.

The poll notes that US support for the Israeli war on Iran was slightly higher than in Gaza.

“Currently, 38 percent … express approval of this military action; 54 percent disapprove. Seventy-eight percent of Republicans, 31 percent of independents, and 12 percent of Democrats approve,” it said.

The latest poll comes as Gaza faces catastrophic levels of famine due to Israel's continued blockade of the strip. Dozens, including children, have died of starvation over the past few weeks.

Scores of Palestinians in the devastated enclave are killed on a daily basis, including starving civilians waiting for aid.

Two leading Israeli human rights organizations issued reports on 28 July accusing Israel of committing genocide in Gaza, marking the first time any major Israeli group has made such a declaration.

“An examination of Israel’s policy in the Gaza Strip and its horrific outcomes, together with statements by senior Israeli politicians and military commanders about the goals of the attack, leads to the unequivocal conclusion that Israel is taking coordinated, deliberate action to destroy Palestinian society in the Gaza Strip,” B’Tselem wrote.

“In other words: Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

US lawmakers demand probe into Gaza Humanitarian Foundation's 'aid traps'
Criticism is mounting in response to the the continuous toll of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces and US military-linked contractors at GHF sites

News Desk

JUL 31, 2025

A group of 92 Democratic US House members has called on Secretary of State Marco Rubio to launch a formal investigation into the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), citing serious concerns about its funding, operational conduct, and role in civilian massacres at aid distribution sites in Gaza.

Led by Representative Sean Casten, the lawmakers pointed out GHF's lack of prior humanitarian experience and questioned its suitability to serve as a primary aid delivery mechanism. They urged greater oversight to ensure aid reaches Palestinian civilians safely and in compliance with international standards.

Over 1,000 Palestinians have been killed at GHF-run distribution sites, where crowd chaos has escalated into violence and casualties, including lethal force used by US contractors and Israeli personnel.

Pre-approval objections from USAID experts—58 in total—regarding the foundation's technical capacity were reportedly ignored in granting GHF a $30 million grant in June.

An internal memo allegedly described GHF as failing to meet minimum standards. The decision was signed off by senior State Department official Jeremy Lewin.

The funding sources and structure of GHF remain opaque. Lawmakers referenced unverified reports suggesting Israeli government contributions of $280 million, a claim GHF denies, and questioned why the organization—registered in Delaware in early 2025—has yet to disclose a list of donors. Its branch in Switzerland has already been closed.

GHF operates four distribution sites and contracts two private security firms, Safe Reach Solutions (SRS) and UG Solutions (UGS), both led by personnel without humanitarian backgrounds.

SRS, led by former CIA operations chief Philip Reilly, and UG Solutions have recruited intelligence and special-forces veterans to run logistics and security. Reports suggest biometric surveillance of Palestinians is being used by contractors and Israeli soldiers at aid sites for unexplained reasons.

The lawmakers also highlighted the resignation of GHF's founding executive director, former US Marine Jake Wood, who reportedly left over disputes regarding humanitarian principles.

In their letter, the lawmakers demanded detailed answers on how funds were allocated, monitoring protocols, the dismissal of expert concerns, and compliance with US and international humanitarian law. They set a deadline of 14 August for the State Department to respond.

Their request echoes the broader warning of UN Secretary-General António Guterres, who said humanitarian assistance to Gaza must shift from a "trickle" to a torrent. "This is not a warning. It is a reality unfolding before our eyes," Guterres said, emphasizing that action is needed now in Gaza's escalating humanitarian crisis.

Knesset’s approval of West Bank annexation advances key goals of Zionist project

Israel has already exercised de facto control over the West Bank since 1967. Yet, the move is perceived as a green light for legalizing the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians by forcibly displacing them and annexing the remainder of their home land.

July 30, 2025 by Aseel Saleh

Israel has taken a step further in its plan to control the West Bank. The Israeli parliament (known as Knesset) voted with an overwhelming majority, on Wednesday July 23, in favor of a non-binding motion, which allows Israel’s annexation of the occupied West Bank.

As per the proposal, Israel will claim sovereignty on the territories, which it has already occupied since 1967, while imposing full military control and continuously expanding settlement projects.

Israel has even controlled the only border crossing between the West Bank and Jordan, which allows Palestinians to travel abroad, and has not permitted Palestinians to establish or operate an airport within the occupied territories.

The annexation of the West Bank is not a new dream, it is at the very heart of the Zionist project and Israel has made numerous attempts over the past decades to achieve this goal.

Timeline of the annexation plan
The Allon Plan (1967-1974)
The plan was initially presented on July 26, 1967 by Israel’s Labor Minister Yigal Allon, less than two months after Israel defeated the armies of Egypt, Jordan and Syria in the six-day Arab-Israeli war.

After the war, Israel occupied the West Bank, East Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip and the Syrian Golan, and displaced hundreds of thousands of Palestinians and Syrians.

The Allon Plan consists of two versions; the first was brought forward in July 1967, calling for the establishment of Palestinian autonomy in the newly-occupied West Bank, while binding it economically, culturally, and militarily to Israel.

Meanwhile, the second version was introduced in February 1968, proposing the partition of the West Bank between Israel and Jordan as a substitute for Palestinian autonomy.

Based on that, Israel would retain control over the Jordan Valley, along with a corridor linking it to Jerusalem, while Jordan would gain control over two non-adjacent areas in the western areas of the West Bank.

Although the plan was not officially adopted by Israel, it constituted a guideline for Israeli policy in the West Bank for the next few years.

In 1974, the Jericho Plan which emanated from the Allon Plan suggested returning the Jericho area to Jordan as part of a disengagement plan. However, the role of Jordan was sidelined that same year when Arab leaders recognized the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) as the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.

Nevertheless, the Allon Plan as a whole continued to inspire subsequent plans proposed by Israeli officials, who succeeded Allon with an emphasis on the strategic importance of the Jordan Valley.

The Sharon Plan (1977-1984)
As of 1977, the Israeli government shifted its annexation policy from establishing settlements on dispersedly populated areas such as the Jordan Valley, to the central and western areas of the occupied West Bank in what was known as the Sharon Plan.

The settlements encircled the Palestinian population in the West Bank and separated them from their compatriots living in the territories occupied by Israel in 1948.

The goal of constructing these settlements in areas densely populated by Palestinians was to impede the establishment of a Palestinian state.

1990s: the Oslo Accords and the division of the West Bank into areas A, B, and C
Even after Israel signed the Oslo Accords with the PLO in the first half of the 1990s, which allegedly intended to pave the way for a peace process and establish an interim Palestinian self-government (known today as the Palestinian Authority) until achieving a purported independence in five years, Israel continued to impose de facto sovereignty over the West Bank and expand settlement projects.

The Oslo Accords contributed to further fragmenting the West Bank by dividing its territories into three administrative areas (A, B, and C) without leading to any actual control by the Palestinian Authority.

The articles related to this division stipulated that Area “A” would be administered by the Palestinian Authority, Area “C” would be administered by Israel, while Area “B” would be under joint control.

Nevertheless, realities on the ground confirm that for over three decades, all three areas have been under the complete control of Israel. Across the West Bank there is a heavy presence of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) and persistent absorption of Palestinian lands in favor of establishing more illegal Israeli settlements.

2012: The recognition of Palestine as a non-member observe state; a desperate attempt towards a Palestinian statehood
In November 2012, the United Nations General Assembly recognized Palestine as a non-member observer state after an overwhelming majority of member states voted in favor of the resolution.

Although the Palestinian Authority considered the recognition as the “last chance to save the two-state solution”, the move was slammed by Israel as a bid that “pushed the peace process backwards”, while the United States said it was “unfortunate”.

This recognition is viewed as a symbolic victory that boosted Palestine’s international standing and allowed the Palestinian Authority to participate in UN activities and provided it with access to certain international bodies. However, it did not alter the status quo in the occupied Palestinian territories.

On the contrary, settler violence and human rights violations perpetrated by the IOF increased in the following years, while the number of settlements proliferated.

According to a report published by Human Rights Watch in 2014, at least 15 Palestinian civilians were unlawfully killed by the IOF in the occupied West Bank in 2013. The same year saw 361 settler violence incidents that included attacking Palestinians and damaging their properties.

The Palestinians’ right to freedom of movement in the West Bank was further restricted by Israel in 2013, and arbitrary arrest campaigns were launched against Palestinians including children and peaceful protesters.

The first half of 2013 marked a 70% increase in the construction of settlement housing units in comparison to the same period of 2012.

2020: partial annexation plan as part of Netanyahu-Gantz coalition government
In 2020, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his rival, then Israel’s military chief Benny Gantz, reached an agreement to form an “emergency” coalition government, which set a timeline for potential annexation of parts of the West Bank as of July the same year.

The Knesset’s decision is an attempt to legalize a de facto annexation, says Omar Assaf
Peoples Dispatch spoke to Palestinian political activist, analyst, and writer Mr. Omar Assaf to discuss more about the repercussions of the Knesset’s decision on the political situation in the West Bank.

Assaf argues that the endorsement of the annexation by Israeli lawmakers is part of the age-old Zionist colonial project, which is based on the concept of “a land without a people for a people without a land”, and therefore entails the extermination of the Palestinian people to seize their homeland.

The Palestinian political writer, indicated that Theodor Herzl, who is widely recognized as the founder of political Zionism, entrenched this concept by linking it to biblical narratives, which promotes Joshua’s perpetual servitude of the Indigenous people of Canaan, who chose to stay in their lands as “hewers of wood and carriers of water”, in order not to be otherwise “banished or exterminated”.

“Israeli historians Ilan Pappé and Tom Segev also suggested that forced displacement and ethnic cleansing represent the essence of the Zionist Project,” Assaf added.

He added that the forced displacement of the people of his home village Bayt Nabala by the Israeli military on July 13, 1948, is a clear example of the ethnic cleansing policy, which Israel has implemented since it was established. The entire population of his village was forcibly displaced, although Bayt Nabala was under the sovereign control of the Arab State in accordance with the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine (known as Resolution 181) adopted in 1947.

This in turn, confirms that the Knesset’s resolution is nothing more than a procedure to legalize actions that have already been implemented on the ground including settlement projects, and isolating the areas of the occupied West Bank from each other by setting up gates and checkpoints, turning them into cantons.

“The Knesset’s approval of the motion would further undermine any efforts towards the two-states solution or the establishment of a Palestinian state,” Assaf affirmed.

He explained that the motion aims at annexing one third of the West Bank including Jordan Valley, and major illegal Israeli settlement clusters such as Gush Etzion in the south, and Ma’ale Adumim and Ari’el in the center.

Moreover, Assaf expects that Israel will seek to create a Palestinian local government in each isolated region or area, particularly in Ramallah, Hebron, Bethlehem, Jenin and Nablus.

Assaf asserted that the very foundation of establishing the “Hebrew State” was centered on Judea and Samaria (the Biblical name of the West Bank), which makes it the focus of the conflict.

“Such religious myths have been touted by Israel to impose further control over the Palestinian territory,” Assaf noted.

Regarding the repercussions of the Knesset’s decision on the Palestinian people, Assaf said that they may be manifested in multiple aspects, all of which aim to resolve the conflict in favor of Israel:

Achieving the goals set for aggression on Gaza.
The expansion of settlements in the West Bank.
Consolidating Israel’s Nation-State Law.
Imposing control over the holy sites.
Undermining the Palestinian Prisoners Movement.
Canceling the Palestinian refugee status and dismantling UNRWA.

Is the regional Zionist Project going to include occupation of Cyprus?

Disturbing reports have been circulating for some time about the Zionist agenda to take over Cyprus

Cypriot President Nikos Anastasiades (left), Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis (center), and Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu hail the EastMed project. 2020

"Jews shouldn't seek refuge in lands favourable for European settlement, as they would encounter resistance in every such country. They also won't be able to efficiently settle in tropical regions. Given these conditions, Cyprus is the most suitable location for Jewish settlement. While the island isn't a magnet for European settlers, its climate is suitable for Europeans, and notably, it is in close proximity to Israel, serving as a gateway to it."

These words are part of a speech during the Third Zionist Congeress in 1899, by ‘outstanding’ Zionist David Trietsch. Born in Germany, he was one of the founders of the Zionist movement and expounded the theory that practical colonisation in Palestine was more important than political negotiations.

A recent surge in Zionist real estate acquisitions has led to public anger and political outcry in Cyprus since October 7th and the Palestinian Resistance Operation Al Aqsa Flood - that has led to the massacre of a (realistically) estimated half a million Palestinians, the huge majority under the age of 18.

From the Al Mayadeen article:

At a recent conference of Cyprus' leftist Progressive Party of Working People (AKEL), its Secretary-General, Stefanos Stefanou, issued a stark warning, likening the pattern of Israeli real estate acquisitions in Cyprus to the early stages of settler expansion in historic Palestine. He alleged that the purchases were part of a broader plan involving closed residential zones, religious institutions, and expanding economic influence.

Official records show about 2,500 Israeli citizens permanently residing in Cyprus. However, unofficial estimates suggest the number may range between 12,000 and 15,000, owing to the widespread use of European passports by Israelis seeking residency. This while Palestinians are unable to leave Gaza as it is obliterated by Zionist-US bombs. “Israelis are buying” everything is a much used phrase by Cypriots struggling with a severe housing crisis.

Historian and expert on the Zionist movement - Dr. David Miller posted on X on the 6th of July about the Euros 50 million Jewish (read Zionist) education hub - The Yael Foundation - ‘breaking ground in Limassol’.

Cyprus appears to be a site of intensified interest for Zionist colonists and the regime itself. Here is a report on the 'educational' conference held in Cyprus in February this year. Attended by those in charge of the global Hasbara campaign to promote Zionist genocide the Minister for Diaspora Affairs and an official from the Jewish Agency (responsible for settlements and recruiting settlers). Note also the presence of Ukrainian Zionists from Odessa.

What's going on here is an attempt to spread Zionist radicalisation centres in places where they don't exist or where there is a perceived need to reinforce existing structures. Make no mistake, these 'schools' will act as nodes in a network to defend the ongoing expansionist and genocidal settlement which the Zionists are clearly planning to continue in areas in addition to Palestine, Lebanon and Syria.

A quote from the report itself:

The foundation's expanded budget was unveiled by its founder Uri Poliavich at a major educational conference in Limassol, Cyprus. The three-day event has brought together Israeli officials and approximately 200 educators and thought leaders to address current challenges facing Jewish communities worldwide...

The conference features contributions from key figures including Minister of Diaspora Affairs and Combatting Antisemitism Amichai Chikli, IDF Maj. Gen. (res.) Doron Almog of the Jewish Agency, and Special Envoy Michal Cotler-Wunsh. Among the speakers is Iris Chaim, who transformed her personal tragedy – the loss of her son in a mistaken IDF shooting during his escape from captivity – into an inspirational message.

Miller also adds detail on the Yael Foundation co-founder:

And here is more on Uri Poliavich, the co-founder of the Yael Foundation. From March this year. This report notes that 'The Yael Foundation is now involved in building a school in Limassol, Cyprus, that will accommodate 1,500 children.' This will clearly be a radicalisation hub.

Uri Poliavich ‘aims to remodel Jewish education across Europe’ - “We want them to know they are Jews and know what Judaism and Israel really are.” The foundation, whose motto is “No Jewish Child Left Behind,” is currently working in 35 countries and having an impact on 13,000 Jewish students. This is a recruitment drive for the dwindling Zionist military apparatus.

Northern Cyprus is also an ‘Israeli Problem’
A few days ago an article was published in Israel Hayom:

It is not Israel's role or desire to liberate Northern Cyprus. However, if the threat from the area reaches a critical threshold, Israel's strategic posture must shift. Israel, in coordination with Greece and Cyprus, must prepare a contingency operation for liberating the island's north.

The threat? In practical terms, Northern Cyprus functions as an international no-man's land, enabling Turkey and terrorist groups like Hamas and Iran's Quds Force unrestricted operational freedom.

So, despite being a de-facto ally (albeit at times an uneasy one) of Israel, Turkey is now in the Zionist crosshairs in Cyprus - The area is now a forward base for Turkey's military, hosting sophisticated weapons systems, cyber surveillance, and signals intelligence (SIGINT) infrastructure capable of intercepting both military and civilian Israeli communication, alongside covert terrorist facilities supported by Ankara. According to leaked intelligence documents, senior Turkish officials characterized Northern Cyprus as an ideal location "where anything can be done without interference by police or judicial oversight".

Conveniently ‘seized’ documents in Gaza during Zionist aggressions in 2021 and 2023 are “evidence” that ‘the occupied area has become a hub for terrorism financing and money laundering, with Iranian and Turkish illicit funds flowing through shell companies to support Hamas and other terror groups.

Then comes the strategy:

..if the threat from the area reaches a critical threshold, Israel's strategic posture must shift. Israel, in coordination with Greece and Cyprus, must prepare a contingency operation for liberating the island's north. Such an operation would neutralize Turkish reinforcement capabilities from the mainland, eliminate air-defense systems in Northern Cyprus, destroy intelligence and command centers, and finally remove Turkish forces, restoring internationally recognized Cypriot sovereignty.

This contingency plan could be termed "Poseidon's Wrath," named after the Greek god of the sea, highlighting maritime dominance and the devastating consequences of a worst-case scenario. The name underscores Israel's focus on safeguarding strategic maritime assets and maintaining open sea lanes critical for regional security. This would remain a contingency plan: Israel does not seek confrontation but must remain fully prepared. The Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear infrastructure, previously regarded as a highly unlikely scenario, was eventually executed. Turkey, currently constructing the problematic Akkuyu nuclear plant on its Mediterranean coast - a project Russia is quickly abandoning due to recognized risks - should internalize this lesson

Dear lord, do we now have a ‘WMD’ threat from Turkey? First Iraq - 1981 Operation Opera - An Israeli air attack with US jets that destroyed Saddam Hussein’s nuclear reactor at Osirak, alleged to be building a plutonium reactor. Second Syria allegedly helped by North Korea to develop nuclear capability - 2007 Operation Outside the Box or Operation Orchard- The attack operation began 30 minutes before midnight on Sept. 5, 2007, with four F-15Is from Squadron 69 and two pairs of F-16Is ― from Squadron 119 and Squadron 253 ― taking off from the southern Hatzerim and Ramon air bases. By 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 6, after Israel verified that the reactor was destroyed “beyond any chance of rehabilitation,” all eight planes returned safely to base.

Operation Opera led to the Begin Doctrine being established - In 1981, Begin proclaimed the basis for the doctrine as a means to prevent potential enemies of Israel in the Middle East from acquiring weapons of mass destruction. This doctrine has dictated Zionist military policy until today and the 30 year long tale of Iran’s nuclear program.

Mid 2024, Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah threatened Cyprus with military action if it were to sustain military cooperation with Israel, whose army has been training in the island nation for an attack on Lebanon.

Sayyed Nasrallah did not mince words: "Opening Cypriot airports and bases to the Israeli enemy to target Lebanon would mean that the Cypriot government is part of the war, and the resistance will deal with it as part of the war."

The barbed statement was also directed at the British military presence on the island - and its nefarious role in sustaining the Zionist genocide in Gaza.

In 1893, Trietsch expressed interest in what should be done with Cyprus:

"Here was a land with which the English did not know what to do, while, on the other hand, Jews everywhere were searching for a place of settlement for their brethren…Cyprus was in the immediate vicinity of Palestine. I knew that among Jews there existed the desire to colonise Palestine but this…could not be realised owing to the position of the Turkish government. It appeared to me then that the natural and beautiful idea of a return to the Old Land could very well be combined with a colonisation in Cyprus –whether or not England would remain there."

A report in October 2024 described the Zionist “grip on Cyprus growing stronger every day”.

Israeli individuals and corporations have been increasingly investing in the real estate market of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), with a particular focus on the Iskele region, which is in close proximity to Israel. There has been a noticeable increase in the purchase of land and properties by Jewish investors, with some even establishing their own housing projects and neighborhoods. This trend has raised concerns in the TRNC, as it mirrors the historical methods of land acquisition and settlement that played a crucial role in the establishment of Israel. In response, the TRNC has implemented legal changes to restrict the ease with which foreigners, including Israelis, can acquire property and build communities.

Even more sinister is the connection between members of the Zionist bloc and the Israeli expansion into Cyprus - the UAE is a primary Gulf Arab trade partner of Israel - cultivated by former UK Prime Minister and war criminal Tony Blair in the preceding years to the first Trump administration and the launch of the Abraham Accords to ensnare so-called moderate Sunni Muslim States into normalisation with the Zionist entity. The UAE was the first to sign in 2020.

The UAE Dark Matter Group which describes itself as a computer security and domestic surveillance expert is alleged to be recruiting from the shadowy Israeli Spy Unit 8200. These experts in authoritarian surveillance tech and genocide AI are paid salaries of $ 1 million and given luxury homes in….. Cyprus. If this is the case then Israel is using proxies to secure land and housing for Zionist operatives and spies in Cyprus. Outsourcing expansion. Just as they are doing with the factions in Syria that have been targeted by the Zionist bloc to act as ground securement agents for the Zionist land and resource grab project.

It is worth mentioning that DarkMatter has been under investigation by the FBI for crimes including digital espionage services, involvement in the Jamal Khashoggi assassination and incarceration of foreign dissidents. I will be digging deeper for another article shortly.

In addition we should not forget the history of sexual abuse and crimes of rape and gang-rape by Israelis in Cyprus. A familiar legacy for anyone following the alarming levels of child abuse, rape of Palestinian prisoners and ritual sexual child abuse in Israel - known as to be a ‘Pedophile Haven’.

The History of the Kissinger Coup in Cyprus
This is from Dimitris Konstantakopoulos 2017:

In July 1974 the US-controlled Athens military junta organized a coup d’état in Cyprus and an assassination attempt against the President of Cyprus Archbishop Makarios. Everything was executed in exactly the same way as it had been a year before in Santiago Chile. (Cyprus is an island of great strategic importance, now a member of EU and Eurozone. 82% of his population are Greek by nationality and 18% Turkish Cypriots. The country obtained its independence from Britain in 1960, after one of the most successful national-liberation struggles after the 2nd World War) […]

When Ioannides realized after the coup that he had been deceived and that it was Turkey not Greece that was to be “united” with Cyprus, he ordered the Greek Armed Forces to defend the island by all means and attack Turkey on all fronts. Nobody did anything. The USA were controlling all the Greek military hierarchy. The Turkish troops invaded the island essentially without resistance, proceeding to ethnic cleansing of the Greek population from the zone they controlled. Cyprus lost 3% of its population during this operation, which is more than the Iraqi losses during the invasion of 2003.

Back in 2020 Trump’s strong-arm US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced the lifting of a 33-year arms embargo on Cyprus and said the US would deepen its ‘security cooperation’ with Nicosia. This deeply angered Turkey at the time.

"Cyprus is a key partner in the Eastern Mediterranean," he said on Twitter. "We will waive restrictions on the sale of non-lethal defence articles and services to the Republic of Cyprus for the coming fiscal year."

Cyprus is being ‘rewarded’ by Washington as in recent years it has formed a strategic partnership with Israel in the economic, energy and military sector. Because of this, pro-Israel groups in the U.S. lobbied to lift the arms embargo last year, especially as Erdoğan frequently antagonizes Tel Aviv. Paul Antonopoulos

Also in 2020:

The leaders of Greece, Israel and Cyprus met in Athens on Thursday to sign a deal for an undersea pipeline that would carry gas from new offshore deposits in the southeastern Mediterranean to continental Europe – a move that has riled Turkey.

The 2,000-km (1,243-mile) EastMed pipeline is intended to provide an alternative gas source for energy-hungry Europe, which is currently largely dependent on supplies from Russia and the Caucasus region.

With Trump back in the driving seat and facilitating the West Asia regional disintegration and ethnic cleansing of Palestine it might not be too far-fetched to imagine Israel expanding deeper into Cyprus as a springboard to Europe. It is certainly worth noting that a few Cypriots confirmed fears about a Zionist take-over when I posted about it on X.

Hala Jaber - What The World Is Offering Palestinians Isn’t A State.
On which I hand the mic to Hala Jaber

Hala Jaber @HalaJaber - 13:41 UTC · Aug 1, 2025
🧵The Two-State Solution is Dead. What the world is offering Palestinians isn’t a state.

The concept of a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine is often presented as a path to peace, but it has become an empty promise, a diplomatic illusion that distracts from the reality of occupation and apartheid. This thread examines why the two-state solution was and is no longer viable, analyzing its historical promises, current realities, and inherent flaws.

Image

All this talk of a two-state solution is delusion at best, distraction at worst.

Israel’s leadership has made it clear: it has no intention, ZERO, of allowing a sovereign Palestinian state, EVER.

Even Netanyahu has said it: “There is no post-war scenario that would lead to a Palestinian state.”
This collides with the idea of sovereignty.

This stance reveals a fundamental contradiction: a “state” without sovereignty is not a state, it’s a rebranded occupation. Israel’s actions, settlement expansion, annexation policies, & daily violence, genocidal rhetoric, demonstrate that the system is designed to prevent Palestinian statehood, not enable it. It’s not a bug, it’s the system.

The rhetoric of a two-state solution persists as a diplomatic distraction, masking the reality of apartheid while offering Palestinians a hollow promise. So what are you negotiating? A mirage? A hostage with a flag isn’t a state? Stop dressing up apartheid as diplomacy.

Let’s assume, just for argument’s sake, a Palestinian state was declared tomorrow, its functionality would be impossible under current conditions.

The proposed state would consist of two disconnected territories: Gaza in the southwest and the West Bank in the northeast, separated by a heavily militarized Israel. Israel controls all borders, airspace, and movement between these regions, rendering Palestinian autonomy dependent on Israeli permission.

A state without control over its borders, economy, or defense is not sovereign. The Oslo framework demanded a demilitarized Palestine, leaving it defenseless against blockades, settler violence, or military incursions. Even if Palestine were “recognized,” it would be a state in name only with:

No army.
No control over borders, airspace, or economy.
No right to defend itself.
No protection from bombs, blockades, or settler militias.
This is not statehood, it’s an open-air prison with a flag and better branding.

But more importantly: it never acknowledged the Nakba: the expulsion of 750,000 Palestinians, the theft of 78% of their homeland, the erasure of their right to return.

Even the limited territory promised under Oslo II, Areas A and B, roughly 40% of the West Bank, has been eroded. Area C, comprising 60% of the West Bank, remains under full Israeli control. Over 700,000 Israeli settlers now live in 150 settlements and 128 outposts, most built post-Oslo, fragmenting the West Bank into disconnected enclaves.

Settlement expansion and land theft have made a contiguous Palestinian state impossible. What remains is a patchwork of cantons, surrounded by apartheid infrastructure, that cannot form the basis of a viable state.

Instead, it asks Palestinians to accept symbolic scraps while their homeland is devoured and call it peace, when truth be told, that’s not reconciliation, it’s Western diplomacy laundering colonial dispossession.

This isn’t a “solution.” It’s a settlement of guilt, for everyone but Palestinians. The two‑state model is a corpse: cold, buried, kept artificially warm by leaders who want to say they “tried.” But geography, justice, and reality have pronounced it dead.

Symbolic gestures, like international recognition of a Palestinian state, are meaningless without control over land, resources, or security. The two-state solution has become a diplomatic prop, a way to maintain the appearance of progress while enabling occupation.

Netenyahu’ statements including: “Any future independent Palestinian state would pose a threat to Israel’s existence,” further underscore the futility of negotiations.

Recognition without sovereignty is publicity for occupation, not liberation.

Which brings us to today:

Western leaders are racing to “recognize” a Palestinian state; Starmer, Spain, Norway, framed as a historic gesture. But what are they actually offering? The current status quo: diminished land, no sovereignty, no protection.

Even Netanyahu celebrates this in his statements, including in his July 2025 White House remarks that an independent Palestinian state would “pose a threat to Israel’s existence,”

Recognition without sovereignty is publicity for occupation, not liberation.

Summary:

The two-state solution is dead, if it was ever truly viable. It offers Palestinians neither sovereignty nor justice, serving instead as a distraction from the realities of occupation, displacement, and systemic violence. Clinging to this outdated framework enables the status quo, not liberation.

Palestinians deserve more than a flag over ruins or a seat at a table where their rights are perpetually deferred. True peace requires confronting the root causes of injustice, the Nakba, land theft, and apartheid, and dismantling the systems that perpetuate them. Anything less is not a solution; it’s a delusion dressed as diplomacy.

Recognition without justice isn’t peacekeeping. It’s betrayal, gift-wrapped, so let’s stop pretending this is statehood, it’s not.

It’s PR over policy & fiction over freedom.

Dissolve the inhabitants of Gaza in acid

The Presidium of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia called on the country's authorities to assess the statements of writer Dina Rubina about the murders of residents of the Gaza Strip from a legal point of view. Representatives of the organization also called on publishing houses to refuse to cooperate with her. The text of the appeal was published on the Telegram channel of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation

. The revelations of our former compatriot, writer Dina Rubina, sounded shockingly direct. She believes that the civilian population of Gaza should be "dissolved in hydrochloric acid" and the territory of the sector "turned into a parking lot," the Spiritual Administration of Muslims emphasized.

On behalf of the 25-million Muslim community of Russia, the Presidium of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims asked the Federation Council, the State Duma, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Investigative Committee to pay attention to this situation. Representatives of the organization called Rubina's words a justification for ethnic cleansing and the indiscriminate extermination of the civilian population.

Earlier, it was reported that more than 300 UN employees were killed as a result of Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip. According to the organization's High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk, since October 7, 2023, more than 200,000 Palestinians have been killed or wounded, which is about 10% of the country's total population.

Before that, it became known that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) dropped flour, sugar and canned goods from the air on the Gaza Strip. The army's press service noted that the measure was taken as part of humanitarian aid to residents.

https://news.ru/society/prizyv-pisateln ... val-dum-rf - zinc

So there are obvious calls for genocide and mass murder on ethnic and religious grounds. Pure criminality. I hope the authorities will take action. Modern Israeli Nazis are trying their best to outdo their German predecessors.

‘Ludicrous spectacle’: Israeli army stages ‘propaganda display’ during US envoy's visit to GHF site

The Israeli-backed Yasser Abu Shabab gang participated in the ‘spectacle,’ bringing in a small number of tribes and families to pose as aid seekers

News Desk

AUG 1, 2025

Image

A Gaza journalist and others revealed on 1 August that US envoy Steve Witkoff’s visit to a Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) site in Rafah was a “farcical spectacle” aimed at whitewashing the deadly US-Israeli aid mechanism, which has been responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Palestinians.

The White House said Witkoff’s visit aimed to “inspect” GHF sites and secure “a plan to deliver more food.” The visit was framed as an effort to advance humanitarian assistance.

However, according to well-known Gaza-based journalist Youssef Fares, GHF “staged the site” ahead of Witkoff’s arrival.

Fares said GHF “buried the blood of the aid seekers who had been injured or killed in recent days, pulled back the tanks and snipers, and reduced the tens of thousands of aid seekers to a small number of families belonging to Yasser Abu Shabab’s men, who entered yesterday through the Morag Corridor to take part in this farcical spectacle, exposed before the world.”

“An orderly distribution of aid – no pepper spray, no live fire or casualties, no stampedes – all aimed at denying the thousands of recorded videos and erasing the blood of nearly 1,000 starved martyrs and hundreds of wounded in these traps of humiliation,” Fares added.

Ramy Abdu of the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor also confirmed that the aid distribution was staged.

“This morning, Steve Witkoff visited a detention camp resembling Nazi camp, in a staged scene where civilians from the Bedouin area – controlled by Abu Shabab’s gangs – were brought in to produce a propaganda display. The depth to which war criminal Witkoff has sunk is repulsive,” Abdu said.

Hamas condemned Witkoff’s visit in a statement on Friday.

"Witkoff’s visit to Gaza is nothing more than a publicity stunt aimed at containing the growing outrage over US-Israeli complicity in starving our people in the strip. Witkoff will see only what the occupation wants him to see and will view the ongoing catastrophe through Israel’s deceptive lens. He will certainly not witness the workings of the so-called GHF, the hunger guillotine that sets the stage for the Zionist war machine’s killing,” the resistance movement said.

“The White House’s acknowledgment of ‘Gaza’s famine,’ after long denying it, without condemning the occupation that caused it, amounts to exonerating the perpetrator and providing political cover for the gravest crime in modern history,” the statement added.

Yasser Abu Shabab is an Israeli-backed militia leader operating in Rafah under Tel Aviv’s protection. Abu Shabab – whose role is to undermine Hamas – is responsible for the looting of aid convoys. His gang is also responsible for scouting and securing territory ahead of Israeli military operations. He has been accused of collaborating with Israel, drug trafficking, and links to ISIS.

Abdu and Fares explained that tribes and families linked to Abu Shabab posed as aid seekers.

Witkoff was accompanied by US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, who said on Friday that he “joined Steve Witkoff for a visit to Gaza to learn the truth about GHF aid sites.”

“We received briefings from IDF and spoke to folks on the ground. GHF delivers more than one million meals a day, an incredible feat!” Huckabee went on to say.

Nowhere near enough aid is being delivered via the GHF due to Israel’s continued blockade of Gaza.

Dozens, including children, have died from starvation in recent weeks.

The GHF was launched on 27 May, completely bypassing the UN and international aid organizations operating in the Gaza Strip.

Its distribution sites have been described as “death traps” due to the daily killing of Palestinians waiting for aid by Israeli forces. US mercenaries operating the GHF sites have also contributed to the violence, according to testimonies from anonymous contractors.

The UN Human Rights Office (OHCHR) said on 1 August that over 1,300 Palestinian aid seekers have been killed in Gaza by the Israeli army since late May.

Two Palestinian aid seekers were shot dead on Friday at one of the GHF sites in Gaza ahead of Witkoff’s visit to the Rafah site.

The UN Human Rights Office (OHCHR) said on 1 August that over 1,300 Palestinian aid seekers have been killed in Gaza since late May, most of them by the Israeli army.

“In total, since 27 May, at least 1,373 Palestinians have been killed while seeking food; 859 in the vicinity of (US and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation) sites and 514 along the routes of food convoys,” the UN said.

“Most of these killings were committed by the Israeli military,” it added.

The Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip announced that 11 people were killed by Israeli airstrikes and gunfire on Friday, including two aid seekers who were waiting for aid at a distribution site.

The Gaza Health Ministry says that the number of aid seekers killed since the launch of the deadly US-Israeli Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) has reached 1,330.

The UN statement on Friday came as US envoy Steve Witkoff arrived in the Gaza Strip and visited the GHF site in the southernmost city of Rafah, which has been destroyed by Israeli forces.

Witkoff was accompanied by US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee.

The White House said the US officials aimed to “inspect the current distribution sites [to] secure a plan to deliver more food and meet with local Gazans to hear firsthand about this dire situation on the ground.”

Nowhere near enough aid is being delivered via the GHF due to Israel’s continued blockade of Gaza.

Dozens, including children, have died from starvation in recent weeks.

A group of 92 Democratic US House members has called on Secretary of State Marco Rubio to launch a formal investigation into GHF, citing serious concerns about its funding, operational conduct, and role in civilian massacres at aid distribution sites in Gaza.

Victims of Israeli Nazism

Image

The Washington Post published a list of 18,500 children killed by Israeli Nazis in the Gaza Strip. These are only the children they could identify. Among the victims were more than 900 infants under one year old. The genocide and famine in the Gaza Strip continue. The Israeli Nazis do not particularly hide their intention to continue the targeted genocide of Palestinians. There are practically no differences from the German Nazis. Only those remained in history, while the atrocities of the Israeli Nazis can be watched online. With the support of the United States, of course, which bears exactly the same responsibility for the genocide being carried out.

What can the average US citizen do? For starters, end all contributions to both the Republican and Democrat parties. Be sure that your local Congressional representative hears from you with the explicit warning that you will no longer provide any contribution to their campaign unless they take a stand in opposition to the US policy of facilitating a war crime. On the international front, there is much that the UN can do, starting with expelling Israel from the UN unless it stops killing civilians and it allows unfettered access by UNRWA. Stop the flow of oil to Israel. Turkey and Azerbaijan are the two biggest culprits in facilitating the genocide because they continue to provide Israel with petroleum and gas. Hit Israel with tariffs. The US, China, Germany, Ireland, and India consistently rank among the top partners for both imports and exports. The US is Israel’s main export partner, while China leads in imports, followed by the US and Germany. China in particular can send a powerful message by cutting economic ties with Israel if it does not end the genocide.

This is the least what could be done. But it is ultimately for the American society to decide if it wants to support genocide. But then again ...

Extremist Israeli minister leads mass settler incursion into Al-Aqsa Mosque

Jewish settlers seek to destroy Islam's third holiest site and build a Jewish temple in its place

News Desk

Accompanied by armed police and thousands of Jewish settlers on 3 August, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam's third-holiest site, which Jews call the “Temple Mount.” The minister said he prayed at the mosque, violating a long-standing agreement with Jordanian Muslim religious authorities, the custodians of the site.
According to the Islamic Endowments Department, at least 3,969 settlers stormed the mosque compound.

The provocative incursion took place on the occasion of "Tisha B’Av," a Jewish fast day mourning the destruction of the First and Second Temples. Many raised calls to rebuild the so-called “Third Temple” in place of the holy site.
A Jewish settler group, the Temple Mount Administration, released a video showing Ben-Gvir leading a group of armed police and settlers as they walked in the compound.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement after Ben-Gvir's visit that Israel's policy of maintaining the status quo at Al-Aqsa "has not changed and will not change."

In September 2000, a similar visit to Al-Aqsa by Israeli politician Ariel Sharon sparked the Second Intifada, or uprising, against Israeli occupation of East Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza.

Israel's Jewish settler movement seeks to destroy Al-Aqsa and build what it claims would be the third Jewish temple in its place.

In August last year, Ben-Gvir was asked if he would build a temple at the site. "Yes, yes, yes!" Mr. Ben-Gvir replied.

"This dangerous and condemned escalation reflects organized terror under the protection and support of the Israeli occupation authorities," stated Nabil Abu Rudeineh, spokesman for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, in response to Ben Gvir's visit.

"It is aimed at sabotaging all Arab and international efforts to achieve a ceasefire and restore calm and stability in the region," he added.

Hamas also condemned the move, calling it "a continuation of the ongoing aggression against our Palestinian people, their land, and their holy sites, and a blatant provocation to the feelings of Muslims everywhere through the desecration of the First Qibla and the Third Holiest Sanctuary."

Timing of these "settler mob incursions" to coincide with Jewish holidays "will not succeed in Judaizing it, imposing a new reality upon it, or undermining its Arab and Islamic identity," the Hamas statement added.

Shortly after praying at Al-Aqsa, Ben Gvir demanded the Israeli government "conquer" all of Gaza in a post on X.

Last week, The Washington Post reported that ministers in Israel's government, including Ben Gvir, seek to ethnically cleanse Gaza of over 2 million Palestinians to pave the way for Jewish settlement in their place.

"As Gaza starves, Israel's far right sees a dream coming true," the paper wrote.

At a conference entitled "The Gaza Riviera – From Vision to Reality," the ministers embraced the "vision of a Gaza of gleaming towers, ritzy tourism and pristine neighborhoods, but without Palestinians."

"We will occupy Gaza and make it an inseparable part of Israel," said Israeli politician and settler leader, Bezalel Smotrich, while speaking at the conference.

Gaza officials say only small fraction of required aid enters strip as Israeli-made famine worsens

Most aid was stolen due to Israeli-orchestrated sabotage, while UNICEF warns that 320,000 children face famine

Gaza’s Government Media Office said on 2 August that only 73 trucks of humanitarian aid entered the besieged enclave on Friday, accusing the Israel of deliberately engineering chaos and starvation to block aid distribution.

In a statement, the media office confirmed that the majority of trucks were “looted and stolen as a result of the security chaos deliberately perpetuated by the occupation,” which it described as part of a systematic campaign of “engineering chaos and starvation.”

It warned that the strip requires at least 600 trucks daily to meet basic health, food, and fuel needs, citing the “complete collapse of the infrastructure as a result of the genocidal war.”

The office called for the “immediate opening of the crossings and the entry of sufficient quantities of food aid and baby formula,” stressing that the blockade constitutes “a systematic starvation crime being perpetrated before the eyes of the world.”

“The Israeli occupation and the countries involved in the war are fully responsible for the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza,” the statement added.

The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) warned on Saturday that “Gaza faces a grave risk of famine,” stating that “one in three people” are now going days without food.

“Today, I want to keep the focus on Gaza, because it’s in Gaza where the suffering is most acute and where children are dying at an unprecedented rate,” said Ted Chaiban, UNICEF deputy executive director.

“Today, more than 320,000 young children are at risk of acute malnutrition,” he added. “The malnutrition indicator in Gaza has exceeded the famine threshold.”

“We are at a crossroads, and the choices made now will determine whether tens of thousands of children live or die.”

According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, 162 Palestinians have died of starvation, including 92 children. On Saturday, 17-year-old Atef Abu Khater reportedly died of malnutrition at Al-Shifa Hospital.

Journalist Ahmed al-Najjar described the situation as “engineered Israeli genocidal chaos,” noting that people risk their lives just to buy flour. “There is not any sort of presence of police or security forces in the streets,” he told Al Jazeera.

A 2024 study published in The Lancet estimated that life expectancy in Gaza fell by 35 years during Israel’s war, dropping from 72.9 to around 37.

The report, titled ‘Life expectancy losses in the Gaza Strip during the period October 2023 to September 2024,’ found the decline sharper than that recorded during the Rwandan genocide, when life expectancy dropped from 42.9 years in 1993 to 12.2 in 1994.

The findings were cited in a letter titled ‘Break the selective silence on the genocide in Gaza,’ underscoring the unprecedented scale of Israel’s destruction and the enduring impact of the war on Gaza’s overwhelmingly young population.

As of 2020, the median age in Gaza was 18, with over 40 percent of residents aged 14 or younger.

Israel delivers only 14 percent of required aid to Gaza: Officials

Officials say illnesses linked to famine are spreading as Israeli-backed gangs continue looting aid

News Desk

AUG 4, 2025

The Government Media Office in Gaza revealed on 4 August that only 674 trucks of aid have entered the enclave over the past eight days, amounting to just 14 percent of the 4,800 required to meet minimum humanitarian needs.

This is despite Israel's announcement on 27 July that it would allow aid to enter the strip.

This amounts to an average of 84 trucks per day, far below the 600 daily trucks Gaza officials say are necessary to sustain basic health, food, and fuel services in light of what they describe as the “complete collapse of infrastructure” caused by Israel’s ongoing genocide.

According to the media office, the majority of aid trucks were looted due to the “security chaos systematically perpetuated by the occupation,” describing it as part of a deliberate strategy of “engineering chaos and starvation” aimed at dismantling Palestinian society and crushing its ability to survive.

Yasser Abu Shabab – an Israeli-backed militia leader operating in Rafah under Tel Aviv’s protection and whose role is to undermine Hamas – is responsible for the looting of aid convoys. His gang is also responsible for scouting and securing territory ahead of Israeli military operations. He has been accused of collaborating with Israel, drug trafficking, and links to ISIS.

The media office also condemned the occupation’s ongoing closure of crossings and its prevention of the entry of infant formula and humanitarian relief, holding Israel and its international allies “fully responsible for the worsening humanitarian catastrophe experienced by more than 2.4 million people in the Gaza Strip.”

The office called for the crossings to be permanently opened and for the immediate flow of food, medical aid, and baby formula to be guaranteed.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported 94 people killed and 439 injured in the past 24 hours alone, including four whose bodies were recovered.

From 18 March, the day Israel broke the ceasefire in Gaza, until today, 9,440 people have been killed and 37,986 injured.

In the past 24 hours, 29 people were killed and 300 injured while attempting to access aid, bringing the total number of Palestinians killed while seeking aid - in Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) sites or elsewhere - to 1,516 and those injured to over 10,067.

Hospitals also recorded five deaths due to famine and malnutrition within the past day – all adults – bringing the total to 180 deaths from starvation-related causes, including 93 children.

Additionally, Gaza’s Ministry of Health announced that three people, including two children under the age of 15, have died from Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS), a rare neurological disorder linked to starvation and the spread of non-polio enteroviruses.

The ministry warned that the worsening environmental collapse and absence of treatment due to the blockade create a “fertile environment for the uncontrolled spread of infectious diseases,” calling the deaths “a warning of a real, potential infectious disaster.”

Israel readies ‘full occupation’ of Gaza: Report

The Israeli military is opposed to plans for a full takeover of the strip and believes it would endanger both soldiers and the captives

News Desk

AUG 5, 2025

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the full takeover and occupation of the Gaza Strip, Hebrew media outlets cited sources as saying.

“The die is cast – we are going for a full occupation of the Gaza Strip,” a senior official close to Netanyahu told the Ynet news site.

“There will be operations even in areas where hostages are being held. If the chief of staff doesn’t agree, he should resign,” the source added.

A senior official in the prime minister’s office told Israel’s Channel 12, “We are heading toward occupying the [Gaza] Strip, the decision has been made. Hamas will not release any hostages without total surrender, and we will not surrender. If we don’t act now, the hostages will die of hunger and Gaza will remain under Hamas control.”

The reports say Netanyahu will seek backing from the security cabinet, which is expected to convene this week on the matter.

The Israeli army currently controls around 75 percent of the Gaza Strip.

Yet the military is opposed to a full occupation of Gaza, believing it would endanger the captives and soldiers. The army is also concerned that fully rooting out the resistance could take years.

Tensions “have reached their peak” between Israeli army Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and the political echelon over the war in Gaza, according to an Israeli Army Radio report.

The report cites Zamir as saying that “clearing” Gaza “could take years,” and that while a full occupation is possible, “Hamas will continually drain [the army] through guerrilla operations.”

There are also reports that Zamir could be sacked over his opposition to such plans. On Tuesday, the Israeli army said it was canceling the wartime emergency order that had extended regular soldiers’ reserve duty by an additional four months, in an effort to remedy the exhaustion soldiers are facing.

Ynet said the decision was “Zamir's answer” to the political echelon.

Resistance operations against Israeli forces by Hamas’s Qassam Brigades and other factions in Gaza have escalated recently. Eighteen Israeli soldiers were killed in Gaza in July alone. The month before, 20 Israeli soldiers were killed in the strip.

According to a diplomatic source cited by several Hebrew media outlets, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is seeking to secure the release of captives “through decisive military victory,” further frustrating the families of the captives, who accuse the premier of endangering the lives of their relatives being held by Hamas.

Hamas has continued to demand a withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza and firm guarantees for a permanent ceasefire. Yet Netanyahu has repeatedly said that fighting will resume after captives are exchanged if the Palestinian resistance movement refuses Tel Aviv’s disarmament terms.

“An understanding is emerging that Hamas is not interested in a deal and therefore the prime minister is pushing to release the hostages while pressing for military defeat,” a diplomatic source told Reuters and a number of Hebrew news outlets on Monday.

Survivors of Aid Massacres: Israel Is Eroding Gaza’s Social Fabric
August 4, 2025

Image

By Youssef Fares – Aug 2, 2025

Gaza | Hundreds of thousands of starving Palestinians in northern Gaza make a seven-kilometer journey on foot to reach the Zikim military base in Beit Lahia, where trucks loaded with bags of flour are stopped just meters away from Israeli soldiers. To secure a 25-kilogram sack, people must approach the very area where Zionist forces and private contractors carry out daily killings.

Al-Akhbar met with Mohammad al-Sleibi, a former public school teacher in his thirties, who described surviving stampedes and knife fights to grab a single sack. “The soldiers allow only one or two trucks in for over 200,000 people,” he said. “Violence is inevitable. If you hesitate, you go home empty-handed.”

But the danger goes beyond scuffles. Israeli soldiers can open fire at any moment under the pretext of feeling threatened, no permission from higher-ups needed. That’s exactly what happened yesterday. According to survivor Ahmed Miqdad, Israeli soldiers opened fire as crowds rushed toward the trucks. “The soldiers fired round after round at us. We were trapped for hours. Hundreds were killed or injured,” he described. “They shot us like ducks, competing among themselves and probably even betting on who could shoot better. We made it out by some miracle, but without any flour.”

Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported that Zionist soldiers killed 53 civilians yesterday and wounded nearly 200 others in that incident alone.

This distribution system, dubbed “self-distribution” by the Zionist occupation and international organizations, has become one pillar of a new three-pronged strategy: air drops, aid traps, and chaos. The aim is to create an illusion f humanitarian assistance in order to strip Hamas of the “famine card” amid growing global outrage over Israel’s engineered starvation.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on countries to participate in airdrops over the Gaza Strip. Five planes from Egypt, Jordan, and Israel delivered less aid than a single truck, and some drops landed in “red zones” too dangerous to reach, or directly injured displaced civilians in crowded tent cities. Others, dropped over Gaza’s western areas, injured several displaced people living in the densely packed tent cities that now blanket the region.

Israel’s aid policy goes far beyond preventing Hamas from gaining control of supplies. It is being used to recalibrate Gaza’s social structure under the harshest conditions, in ways that erode the moral and behavioral rules of society.

“The Israeli army is exploiting two years of war and the absence of effective governance to foster organized crime and looting networks,” said human rights activist Abdullah Sharshara. “The army enables aid theft as a way of supporting local militias, like the gang led by Yasser Abu, which looted hundreds of trucks under Israeli protection. It’s a system built on lawlessness.”

Aid trucks are now Gaza’s main source of goods. The trade in aid has created a massive black market that employs hundreds of thousands of people. This has spawned a vast black market and informal economy that feeds off looted supplies. “Every market needs a product, and aid is all that’s left,” Sharshara said. “The army forces truck drivers to stop in crowded areas and prohibits them from delivering to UNRWA warehouses. This sustains the climate of chaos where people are pushed to loot or steal just to eat.”

This is how the Zionist occupation systematically dismantled Gaza’s civil infrastructure: by eliminating community leaders from public service through targeted assassinations or forced displacement. At the same time, it obstructs the work of security forces and destroys civil society and private sector infrastructure, eroding all forms of societal authority.

“Gaza already had a high percentage of unemployed youth, over 49% before the war.” Sharshara noted. “War economy has allowed them to integrate into a new order based not on labor or production, but on opportunistic accumulation and looting. This class has moved from the periphery to the center of post-war life. Their moral values have been completely redefined.”

Jonathan Cook: Genocide in Gaza from Day One
August 5, 2025

It is cold comfort that, in the very final stages of Israel’s genocide, media pundits such as Piers Morgan are finally ready to concede that a genocide may be about to happen.

Image

By Jonathan Cook
Jonathan-Cook.net

Too many pundits, such as the interminably dim-witted Piers Morgan, are slowly, oh-so-slowly coming round to the idea that Israel might be committing a genocide in Gaza.

But of course, they are still dismissing as “anti-Semites” those of us who pointed out from the start that it was a genocide.

They hope to get away with this face-saving ploy only because the establishment media continues to ignore what happened before Oct. 7, 2023 — events that over many years had made clear Israel was readying to commit genocide — and would grasp a pretext when it arrived.

Here is a brief outline of some of the most pertinent factors:

1. In early 2008 — that is, 17 years ago — Deputy Defence Minister Matan Vilnai, a former senior Israeli general, threatened that Gaza would face a “Shoah” — a word until then, strictly reserved for the Holocaust.

2. He did so shortly after Israel implemented what would become a near two-decade siege of Gaza. Israel had already surrounded the enclave with a heavily militarised fence, made its territorial waters off-limits and bombed its only airport.

From then on, food was tightly rationed, in what Israeli leaders called “putting Gaza on a diet,” while swaths of the enclave were intermittently destroyed by Israeli bombing, or what Israeli leaders called “mowing the lawn.” Gaza was effectively turned into a concentration camp.

Image

3. The siege was complemented by Israel’s gradual destruction of Gaza’s means of self-sufficiency: any fishing off its coast was stopped; Israel regularly sprayed herbicide on the enclave’s agricultural land; Israel eradicated Gaza’s industrial sector by making exports almost impossible; and Israel regularly bombed Gaza’s electricity and desalination plants, limiting the essentials of water and power.

Image

4. The goal was clear: to make Gaza entirely dependent on Israel’s goodwill, of which there was almost none, and at the same time utterly dependent on aid. In tandem, Israel started waging a deceitful campaign claiming U.N. aid organisations were linked to Hamas “terror” in the hope it could use this as a rationalisation for impeding aid, as it has done with great ferocity since Oct. 7, 2023, and ultimately for taking over for itself all aid provision, as it has also managed to do in recent months with the creation of an Israeli-U.S. front group, the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.”

Image
The “No Man’s Land” in what Israel calls the buffer zone along the Gaza-Israel border, 2008. (Kashfi Halford, Flickr, CC BY-NC 2.0)

5. With this as the background, the United Nations warned a decade ago that Gaza was likely to become uninhabitable by 2020. That was a major reason why Palestinians began mass protests at their concentration camp fence in 2018, which Israel responded to with lethal live fire.

In one article in the Israeli media at the time, IDF snipers boasted about shooting “42 knees in one day.” Hundreds were killed and many thousands crippled as a result. Those same snipers are currently shooting children in the head, abdomen and testicles, as British surgeon Nick Maynard, who is volunteering in Gaza, has warned.

Image

Let us note too that Israel’s almost complete, and malevolent, control over Gaza — and the fact that the world had lost interest in the enclave’s desperate plight — was a major factor in Hamas and other groups launching their lethal break-out on Oct. 7, 2023.

5. In parallel to all this, and starting in 2007, Israel persuaded the U.S. to join it in a pressure campaign on Egypt: to open its single, short border with Gaza so that the enclave’s people would flood into Sinai — an act of ethnic cleansing and a blatant violation of international law. Egypt refused to submit before Oct. 7, 2023, and has continued to do so since.

In fact, forcibly removing a group from their homes through violence and by making life impossible for them where they live itself meets the legal definition of genocide — all the more obviously so if those doing the forcible removal say that is what they are doing, as Israeli leaders have been stating from the start of their genocidal slaughter and starvation campaign in Gaza.

Israel is committing a genocide to force Egypt and the Arab world to take the people of Gaza as refugees. If they refuse, Israel will continue with the genocide by killing more of Gaza’s people. If they relent, Israel will continue the genocide by dispersing what’s left of the people of Gaza to the far corners of the world. Either way, it is genocide. Either way, it must be stopped — now.

It is cold comfort indeed that, in the very final stages of Israel’s genocide, media pundits like Piers Morgan are ready to concede that a genocide may be about to happen. None of that should obscure or excuse their 21 months of complicity in the genocide that unfolded before all our eyes. They did not know because they did not want to know.

Responsibility for every dead child in Gaza, every maimed child in Gaza, every orphaned child in Gaza, every starving child in Gaza, irreversibly damaged by malnutrition, rests firmly on their shoulders.

Israel is a genocidaire apartheid state. Silencing critics around the world through threats, intimidation, lawfare, and accusations of antisemitism to prevent it from being sanctioned and boycotted as it ought to be.

“Where can I sign up for my share of those Crazy Columbia Antisemitism Cash Dollars???” - Open letter to Columbia University’s acting president

“The University, particularly in its early years while still called “King’s College” was deeply immersed in the slave trade. In fact, of its first 10 Presidents, at least half were proven back in 2017 to have owned slaves.” - Palestine Chronicle

It is rare for the peoples of the world to be of one mind, to have unanimity of opinion on any subject, yet we are seeing that phenomenon take place right now. There is very little disagreement over whether or not the United States backed regime in Israel is committing war crimes and genocide. Millions of people have protested on the streets, conducted boycotts, and urged their governments to join in condemnation of Israel at the International Court of Justice and at the United Nations. It is no exaggeration to say that there were feelings of joy around the world when the International Criminal Court (ICC) finally issued an arrest warrant for prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Even in the United States, Israel’s most powerful supporter, the public have had enough of the atrocities being committed in their name and with their public resources. Support for Israel’s military actions against Gaza stands at a paltry 32% in the latest Gallup Poll . According to the Pew Research Center most people surveyed in 24 different countries, including the United States, have negative opinions of Israel and of Netanyahu.

The international revulsion created after years of watching the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) bomb homes, hospitals, mosques, churches, schools, and refugee camps and now engage in an official policy of starvation in Gaza, has led to a scorched earth policy carried out by zionist individuals and organizations. They know all too well that Israel is and will be a pariah nation and that they can do nothing to rehabilitate its reputation. Their only option is to punish anyone who dares to speak the truth about the nature of the zionist entity. They are relentless in their efforts to make anyone think twice about speaking the truth and now they have the complete backing of the state as they carry out their campaign of silencing critics and punishing those who continue to resist.

One of the motivations of Donald Trump’s attacks on universities is to crush the student movement which brought the issue of U.S. support for war crimes to public consciousness in 2024 and which inspired others to take action in protesting U.S. complicity in genocide. Zionists have always used the accusation of “antisemitism” against critics of Israel but they have not had the full imprimatur of the state to assist them. Now that Trump is back in the presidency they have the tools at their disposal to silence and punish anti-zionist speech and actions.

Columbia University was among those institutions Trump targeted with loss of federal grant funds, in its case, some $400 million. As part of its agreement with the administration, Columbia promised to pay $220 million over three years to settle claims of discrimination against Jewish employees who may have “experienced antisemitism.” The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunities Commission (EEOC) announced that Columbia University will pay $21 million into a fund to compensate those persons. In addition, Columbia has agreed to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism, which includes among its criteria, “Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor.” Of course, Israel is an ethnostate created from territory violently seized from the Palestinian people. Jewish people in that country have rights and privileges that non-Jews do not. So yes, its existence is a racist endeavor but no student or faculty member at Columbia or other schools that have made these agreements with the Trump administration will be allowed to point out these easily proven facts without facing retribution. Of course, Columbia had many ties to slavery in its early history but it has never offered reparations to Black people in any way, shape or form.

Columbia paying off zionists who don’t like anti-zionist protest is a very literal shakedown, but it is not unique nor is it restricted to the U.S. In the United Kingdom, the group Palestine Action has been labeled a terrorist organization because of its direct actions against government support for Israel. Now declared “proscribed,” anyone who defends Palestine Action is also subject to being criminally charged under the Terrorism Act. In Australia, veteran journalist Mary Kostakidis has been sued by the Zionist Federation of Australia, charging her with violating that country’s Racial Discrimination Act. Her alleged offense stems from a social media post quoting and praising the words of the late Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah, who was assassinated by Israel in 2024. In France, the government announced the cessation of a program accepting refugees from Gaza when one of those evacuated was accused of making antisemitic social media posts. The young woman had only been in France for one week, proving that zionist groups spend a great deal of time investigating anyone who may come to be representative of Israel’s crimes. France, like all of the “collective west” is a staunch supporter of Israel and not only agreed to end all resettlement but to deport the student as well. France also chose to give Netanyahu immunity from arrest , making a mockery of its status as a signatory of the Rome Statute which brought the ICC into being.

The shakedown is not limited to payments and harassment. Zionists are now emboldened and regularly file legal and criminal complaints after instigating incidents which they then label as being antisemitic. The Jerusalem Coffee House in Oakland, California was the subject of two such events and is now being sued by the Department of Justice. Two Jewish men, both wearing caps emblazoned with a star of David, claim to have been subjected to antisemitic harassment at the coffee house which is owned by a Palestinian man. The owner disputes their claims and one of the men has a history of filming himself having arguments about Israel. What should be settled at the local level has now been elevated into what is literally a federal case.

The Trump administration says nothing about discrimination against any group other than Jewish people. There is a federal Task Force to Combat Antisemitism but there is no other example of such a high level of official concern for bigotry. Trump is a true believer in Israel’s right to do whatever it wants as well as being the recipient of a $100 million campaign donation from Miriam Adelson, who was born and raised in Israel and is the widow of casino magnate Sheldon Adelson. Adelson is president of the Maccabee Task Force , which took the lead in seeking the arrest and detention of Mahmoud Khalil. Khalil is now free but his experience is just one example of how far Israel’s supporters will go in punishing anyone who speaks out against its actions.

There is no defending Israel but it is possible to shut down all discourse which condemns it. Before Trump’s current term of office, 32 states had already established laws prohibiting boycotts of Israel. Official defense of Israel is accepted bipartisan policy. If zionists did nothing, Israel would be subject to the kind of exclusions that South Africa experienced in the days of the apartheid regime. Repression is the only means that they have of quieting discontent about Israel’s actions. As Netanyahu declares his intention to occupy all of Gaza, opponents of zionism must be ready to fight.

VIDEO: Meet the symbol of Gaza’s famine – and target of Israel’s propagandists
Max Blumenthal·August 6, 2025

The Grayzone visits the family of Mohammed Zakaria al-Mutawaq, a severely malnourished toddler living in a Gaza City tent, who has become a symbol of the Israeli-imposed famine sweeping the besieged territory.

After Mohammed appeared on the front page of the New York Times and several other major papers, Israeli propagandists accused the media of misinformation, claiming his pre-existing muscular condition explained away the hunger crisis.

We spoke to his mother, Hedaya, to get the full story. We also spoke to the Al-Foul family, Gaza City residents who are also struggling to feed their young son as Israel blocks the aid they depend on.

Israeli security cabinet chose starvation policy in Gaza over deal to free captives: Report

Leaked documents show that the Israeli leadership torpedoed an agreement despite Hamas acting in ‘good faith’ to reach a prisoner exchange agreement

Hebrew media cited leaked documents showing that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu actively pursued a policy of starvation in a bid to bring about Hamas’s surrender.

🚨 REPORT via Channel 13: Leaked Israeli Records Show Government Pursued Starvation Strategy to Force Hamas Surrender

Channel 13 has published internal Israeli government transcripts from March 2025 revealing that Israel’s war cabinet knowingly restricted all humanitarian aid to… pic.twitter.com/njBPmPiBoM

— Drop Site (@DropSiteNews) August 6, 2025

The documents also show that Netanyahu refused to move forward with Phase 2 of the last ceasefire deal – despite internal warnings urging him to secure a release of captives before returning to fighting.

The documents confirmed that Netanyahu and the war cabinet “instructed the [army] to stop all humanitarian aid and close the Rafah crossing” in early March.

“The only chance to get hostages released is to discuss Phase B conditions,” Major General Nitzan Alon – who is in charge of the captives’ issue – told ministers, according to the meeting records. Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar said, “My preferred option is to reach Phase B. We can resume the war afterward.”

Netanyahu refused and insisted the war would not end while Hamas remained in power.

“If Hamas returns even a number of hostages – less than half – that’s excellent,” Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz was cited as saying.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich lashed out at ministers, saying, “You’re misleading the public into thinking we can stop the war and return to it later … That’s ignorance,” according to the leaked documents.

The report confirms that Hamas acted in “good faith.”

“We thought the talks would explode once we entered them – and that didn’t happen,” the documents cite Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer as saying.

However, Netanyahu rejected making a deal and bet on besieging and starving two million Palestinians in an effort to force Hamas to surrender. On 18 March, the war resumed with intensity, collapsing the ceasefire and negotiations.

“The report definitively proves what we’ve been saying for a year and a half – a comprehensive deal to bring all captives home was possible,” said the Israeli Hostages and Missing Families Forum.

Months later, the Gaza Strip is now facing a widespread and unprecedented famine. Dozens of people, including children, have died from starvation in recent weeks, as Palestinians continue to be gunned down by soldiers while receiving minimal amounts of aid via the US-Israeli Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).

Ceasefire talks collapsed recently after Israel withdrew from the negotiations over disagreements about withdrawal from Gaza and ending the war.

Despite numerous internal warnings about the danger to Israeli captives, the government is now moving ahead with plans for a full takeover and occupation of new areas in the strip, including Gaza City and central Gaza.

The plan is reportedly aimed at destroying Hamas's capabilities and pressuring it to release the 50 captives it still holds. It would begin with taking over Gaza City and refugee camps in the central strip, displacing around half of the population southward toward the Mawasi area, where hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians already reside.

It is expected to be approved at a security cabinet meeting on Thursday.

‘Strategy of surrender’: Hezbollah condemns Lebanese cabinet decision on disarmament

The Lebanese cabinet called for a state monopoly on arms by the end of this year, without prioritizing an Israeli withdrawal or an end to attacks

News Desk

AUG 6, 2025

Hezbollah released a statement on 6 August strongly rejecting a decision taken by the Lebanese cabinet a day earlier regarding state monopoly over all weapons in the country.

The Lebanese resistance group vowed to “treat this decision as if it does not exist,” calling it a “grave sin.”

"The government of [Lebanese] Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has committed a grave sin by adopting a decision that strips Lebanon of the weapons of resistance against the Israeli enemy. This weakens Lebanon’s strength and position in the face of the ongoing American-Israeli aggression and grants Israel what it failed to achieve during its assault on Lebanon,” Hezbollah said.

“This decision clearly violates the national pact and contradicts the government’s ministerial statement,” which calls for taking “all necessary measures” to liberate all Israeli-occupied Lebanese territories, Hezbollah went on to say.

“Preserving Lebanon’s strength – and that includes the Resistance’s arms – is part of these necessary measures. Likewise, working to enhance Lebanon’s strength by arming and empowering the Lebanese army to expel the Israeli enemy and liberate and protect Lebanese land is also one of these essential measures,” it added.

“This decision undermines Lebanon’s sovereignty and gives Israel free rein to tamper with its security, geography, politics, and very future. Therefore, we will treat this decision as if it does not exist. At the same time, we remain open to dialogue, to ending the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, liberating its land, freeing its captives, rebuilding what was destroyed by the brutal assault, and engaging in discussions over a national defense strategy – but not under the weight of aggression,” the resistance group said.

“What the government has now decided is part of a strategy of surrender and a direct undermining of Lebanon’s sovereignty.”

“To our honorable people, we say: This is just a passing summer cloud, God willing. We are used to being patient—and to emerging victorious.”

Hezbollah also confirmed the withdrawal of its ministers from the session on Tuesday in rejection of the decision.

The cabinet session on 5 August lasted several hours. While the continuation of discussions on the issue of weapons was postponed until Thursday, the cabinet adopted a decision calling for state monopoly on weapons, without prioritizing the need for Israel to withdraw its forces and end attacks against Lebanon.

“The Lebanese army is tasked with developing an implementation plan regarding the weapons before the end of the year and presenting it to the Council of Ministers for discussion before the 31st of this month,” Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said on Tuesday night after the session, reaffirming Lebanon’s commitment to UN Resolution 1701 and the state’s monopoly on weapons by the end of the year.

Lebanese journalist Khalil Nasrallah referred to the decision as an attempt to set a trap … and impose the resistance’s disarmament as a fait accompli.”

“The Council of Ministers did not task the army with drafting a plan to defend Lebanon against the Israeli aggression; instead, it tasked it with drafting a plan to restrict weapons (Hezbollah's weapons) to be presented to the Council of Ministers at the end of August, to be implemented before the end of the year. This is the level of ‘defensive’ thinking in Lebanon, and about Lebanon, among a group that embraced cowardice and made it their path,” he added.

Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem delivered a speech as the cabinet session took place, reaffirming the Lebanese resistance’s refusal to surrender its weapons.

Hezbollah says it is prepared to discuss incorporating its weapons into the state for a defensive strategy in which they could be used to defend the country from Israel.

The group also stresses that this is purely an internal matter, and that no such discussions can begin until Israel ends its attacks and withdraws from the five points it occupied in south Lebanon since last year's ceasefire.

The Lebanese government has drafted a response to a recent US roadmap demanding, among other things, Hezbollah’s disarmament. The response prioritizes the need for Israel to withdraw its forces and end its near-daily attacks on Lebanon as a first step.

Washington and Tel Aviv have reportedly rejected Beirut’s terms, raising concerns over a potential military escalation.

Meanwhile, Israel has threatened to continue attacking Lebanon until the resistance is disarmed.

An 11-year-old boy was killed by an Israeli drone strike on Wednesday morning in the southern Lebanese town of Tulin.

Israel’s security cabinet approves occupation of Gaza City

The plan will displace around 800,000 Palestinians and result in a large siege and ground offensive

News Desk

Israel’s security cabinet approved Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan for an occupation of Gaza City, the premier’s office announced.

The office said that the adopted proposal aims to “defeat Hamas.”

“The security cabinet approved the prime minister's proposal to defeat Hamas. The IDF will prepare to take control of Gaza City while providing humanitarian aid to the civilian population outside the combat zones,” the statement read. The cabinet meeting started on the evening of 7 August and ended very early on Friday.

“An overwhelming majority of cabinet ministers believed that the alternative plan presented to the cabinet [by the army] would not achieve the defeat of Hamas or the return of the hostages,” the prime minister’s office went on to say.

During the meeting, the Israeli army’s Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir opposed Netanyahu’s plan and said it would endanger the remaining captives held by the resistance, officials told Axios. He also rejected the idea of Israeli rule over the Palestinian population.

The decision used the word “taking over” instead of “occupy,” according to Hebrew news site Ynet. This was reportedly due to legal reasons about Israeli responsibility for civilian matters in the strip. A senior official cited by the outlet said the distinction is “superficial” and that the decision will see full Israeli military rule.

According to the report, the plan will be halted if an exchange deal is reached.

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich rejected the decision, demanding no aid for Gaza and a commitment that the operation will not come to an end for any reason, even for talks on a prisoner exchange deal.

A senior official told Axios that the plan only involves Gaza City. The prime minister and the defense minister are authorized by the cabinet to approve a final operational plan against Hamas.

“The goal is to evacuate all Palestinian civilians from Gaza City to the central camps and other areas by the 7th of October. A siege will be imposed on the Hamas militants who remain in Gaza City, and at the same time, a ground offensive will be carried out in Gaza City,” the official added.

The prime minister’s office confirmed five goals for the operation: disarming Hamas; returning all captives; demilitarizing Gaza completely; maintaining full security control over the strip, including after the war is ended; and eventually handing over control to an “alternative civilian government” that is neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority (PA).

Tensions have surged recently between the army chief and the political establishment over the occupation plan and the danger it poses to the captives.

Israel’s defense minister defended Zamir’s right to express his views, but said the army will have to implement whatever decision the government takes.

The Israeli army currently controls around 75 percent of Gaza. The other 25 percent constitutes Gaza City and the refugee camps in central Gaza.

Around 800,000 Palestinians who have been repeatedly displaced throughout the war reside in Gaza City. These people will be displaced toward the south, a source told the Times of Israel.

'Do not go down that path': International leaders reject Israeli occupation of Gaza City

The UN warns that Israel’s plan will cause more killing, more forced displacement, and more ‘unbearable suffering’ of Palestinians

News Desk

Several countries have come out in condemnation of Israel’s plan for a full military occupation of Gaza City, which was announced by Tel Aviv overnight.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on 8 August that Israel’s plan is “wrong” and “will only bring more bloodshed.”

Hopes of a two-state solution are “vanishing before our eyes” without Hamas and Israel “engaging in good faith in negotiations,” calling for an agreement on a ceasefire.

“Every day the humanitarian crisis in Gaza worsens and hostages taken by Hamas are being held in appalling and inhuman conditions. What we need is a ceasefire, a surge in humanitarian aid, the release of all hostages by Hamas and a negotiated solution. Our message is clear: a diplomatic solution is possible, but both parties must step away from the path of destruction,” Starmer added.

Australia’s Foreign Minister Penny Wong urged Israel “not to go down this path” and said it would “only worsen the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.”

Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen called for an immediate ceasefire and the release of Israeli captives.

In response to the occupation plan, Germany said it would not approve any exports of military equipment to Israel that could be used in Gaza. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said it was Israel’s right to demand Hamas’s disarmament and release of captives, but added that the “German government believes that the even tougher military action in the Gaza Strip decided upon by the Israeli cabinet last night makes it increasingly difficult to see how these goals can be achieved.”

Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares also condemned the occupation plans, saying Madrid “firmly condemn the decision of the Israeli government to escalate the military occupation of Gaza,” and adding that “It will only cause more destruction and suffering.”

“A permanent ceasefire, the immediate and massive entry of humanitarian aid, and the release of all hostages are urgently needed,” he added.

The Chinese government has expressed “serious concern” and urged Israel to “immediately cease its dangerous actions.”

“Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people and is an inseparable part of Palestinian territory,” a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson told AFP.

“The correct way to ease the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and to secure the release of hostages is an immediate ceasefire. A complete resolution to the Gaza conflict hinges on a ceasefire. Only then can a path to de-escalation be paved and regional security ensured,” the spokesperson said, adding that Beijing is “willing to work together with the international community to help end the fighting in Gaza as soon as possible.”

“I think that our position is quite clear, as it is similar to the position of everybody in the Security Council,” Russia’s deputy UN Ambassador Dmitry Polyanskiy told reporters at the UN headquarters in New York.

“We think that this is a very bad step in an absolutely wrong direction, and we condemn this kind of action. We [condemned] it from the outset, from the moment when these plans were announced and contemplated,” he stressed.

Israel’s actions “run counter to all the UN decisions on the Palestine-Israeli conflict,” Polyanskiy went on to say, adding that “the only basis for the solution of this conflict would be a two-state solution, which has been reconfirmed several times, including during the recent conference in New York that adopted very important decisions.”

The Turkish Foreign Ministry called on the international community to prevent Israel’s plan, which aims to “forcibly displace Palestinians from their own land.”

The UN human rights chief Volker Turk said the “war in Gaza must end now,” warning that more escalation “will result in more massive forced displacement, more killing, more unbearable suffering, senseless destruction and atrocity crimes.”

The plan was approved late on Thursday night during a meeting of Israel’s security cabinet.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said it will aim to achieve five goals: defeating and disarming Hamas; returning all captives; demilitarizing Gaza completely; maintaining full security control over the strip, including after the war is ended; and eventually handing over control to an “alternative civilian government” that is neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority (PA).

Tensions have surged recently between Israel’s army chief and the political establishment over the occupation plan and the danger it poses to the captives.

The assault, which will involve a massive siege in Gaza City and expanded ground operations, will further compound the unprecedented humanitarian crisis the strip’s population faces.

Dozens of Palestinians, including children, have starved to death in recent weeks due to Israel’s blockade.

Ultra-Orthodox media declares 'war' in Israel over mandatory conscription of Haredim

Israel's military is facing manpower shortages as the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza will soon enter its third year

News Desk

Newspapers representing Israel’s ultra-Orthodox parties declared an ideological “war” on 7 August against the Israeli military for its efforts to enforce draft orders for Haredi men.

Yated Neeman’s front page said simply “War,” and HaDerech’s read, “A war for God,” while saying Israel’s ultra-Orthodox Jews were “prepared for a fierce struggle.”

Haredi men in Israel have long enjoyed de facto exemptions from serving in the Israeli military, allowing them to study in Jewish religious seminaries known as Yeshivas instead.

However, the Israeli military has begun to draft Haredi men in an effort to alleviate manpower shortages. Israel needs additional soldiers as military operations to effect the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza have now dragged on for almost two years, putting a strain on its largely reservist-based army.

The ideological “war” was announced after two yeshiva students were arrested on Wednesday for evading the draft. Following the arrests, a spokesman for Rabbi Dov Lando, spiritual leader for the United Torah Judaism party’s Degel HaTorah faction, said Israel had “declared war on yeshiva students.”

HaMevaser newspaper railed against the “conscription decree,” saying the enemies of the Jewish people are “rising up to destroy us.”

Ultra-Orthodox Jewish men have enjoyed draft exemptions for decades. However, the High Court of Justice struck down the exemptions last year, allowing the army to begin sending out and enforcing draft orders.

In response, the Shas and United Torah Judaism parties are seeking to pass legislation legalizing the de facto military draft exemptions.

The Haredi effort to avoid fighting in Gaza has angered members of Israel’s opposition parties.

“An update for the readers of Yated Neeman: There is indeed a war in Israel, but it is in a different place, and people are actually being killed in it,” said opposition Leader Yair Lapid in a post on X.

Knesset member Oded Forer from the Yisrael Beytenu party called the newspaper headlines a “desecration of God’s name.” He quoted a verse from the biblical Book of Numbers, which reads, “Shall your brothers go to war while you sit here?”

As many as 80,000 ultra-Orthodox men aged 18 to 24 have failed to register for the draft. At the same time, the Israeli military says it needs 12,000 new soldiers to continue the war in Gaza.

Haredi leaders say military service is a threat to their way of life and that studying the Torah is a better way to support the state of Israel than fighting in the army.

Israel began its genocide of Palestinians in October 2023.

Israeli forces are currently primarily engaged in “flattening” the Gaza Strip, including by demolishing homes and residential buildings, to ensure the displacement of Palestinians and prevent them from returning home.

The Israeli military seeks to push the over 2 million population in Gaza into a concentration camp to be built on the ruins of the southern city of Rafah on the Gaza–Egypt border; from there, they can be forcibly expelled to foreign countries as refugees.

Israeli businessmen plan to rebuild Gaza as a modern, technologically advanced region to be settled by Israeli Jews.

Indonesia to allocate uninhabited island for 'treatment' of wounded Palestinians

While Jakarta says the wounded will eventually return to Gaza, Israel is lobbying the US to offer 'incentives' to foreign countries to house forcibly displaced Palestinians permanently

Indonesia will convert a medical facility on the uninhabited island of Galang to treat around 2,000 wounded Palestinians from Gaza before returning them to the strip, the Indonesian presidential spokesman Hassan Nasibi announced on 7 August.

“Indonesia will provide medical assistance to approximately 2,000 Gazans who have become victims of the war,” Nasibi said, adding that the patients will be returned to Gaza after their recovery. He stressed that this was not a displacement operation.

The Galang Island facility, located off Sumatra and south of Singapore, will also temporarily house family members of the wounded. “No one is currently living there,” Nasibi said. He did not provide a timeframe for the operation and referred further questions to the Foreign and Defense Ministries, which have not responded.

The announcement follows months of scrutiny over Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto’s previous offer to shelter wounded Palestinians. That proposal drew criticism from senior Indonesian clerics, who warned it resembled US President Donald Trump’s earlier plan to transfer Palestinians from Gaza permanently.

At the time, Indonesia’s Foreign Ministry said it “strongly rejects any attempt to forcibly displace Palestinians.”

According to Axios, Israel’s Mossad chief, David Barnea, visited Washington in mid-July to seek US support for forcibly relocating Palestinians from Gaza to countries including Indonesia, Libya, and Ethiopia.

The proposal was framed as voluntary, but legal experts in both countries warned of violations of international law.

Earlier in March, AP reported that Israeli and US officials approached Sudan, Somalia, and Somaliland to take in Palestinians. Sudan reportedly rejected the offer, while the others said they were unaware of any such talks.

A Financial Times investigation in August revealed that Boston Consulting Group, acting on behalf of Israeli business interests, modeled a plan to displace and forcibly relocate up to 25 percent of Gaza’s population to third countries, including Somalia, Jordan, and the UAE.

The consultancy later disavowed the plan.

Under international law, forced displacement and coerced population transfers constitute war crimes. Human rights advocates and UN officials have condemned such proposals as ethnic cleansing.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has publicly called for the population of Gaza to be displaced to foreign countries as part of what he described as a “victory plan.”

Israel Is Beginning To Choke On Its Own Lies

This genocide is one nonstop insult to our intelligence. It’s actually degrading at this point. The lies Israel and its supporters have to pretend to believe are getting so ridiculous that supporting Israel is now an act of public humiliation and self-debasement.

Caitlin Johnstone
August 8, 2025

Netanyahu has confirmed reports that Israel plans an extreme escalation in Gaza which will entail the total military occupation of the entire enclave and the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, which the Israeli spin machine has termed “voluntary migration”.

To be clear, anyone who says the expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza would be “voluntary” is lying. Starving a population and deliberately making their land uninhabitable is exactly the same as forcing them out at gunpoint. Saying “leave or you’ll starve” is not meaningfully different from saying “leave or I’ll shoot you in the head”. Israel’s planned mass expulsion will be as forced and involuntary as any in recorded history.

President Trump has fully signed off on this move, washing his hands of the mass atrocity he is cosigning by telling the press that it’s going to be “pretty much up to Israel.”

Trump is lying. It’s up to him. That’s why more than 600 former senior Israeli security officials from Mossad and Shin Bet just sent Trump a letter urging him to compel Netanyahu to make peace in Gaza. They understand that the US president has always had the power to end the Gaza holocaust; numerous Israeli insiders have said that this mass atrocity would not be possible without US assistance.

Trump could end all this at any time, and chooses not to. This makes him one of the most evil people in the world.

This whole genocide is powered by lies. Netanyahu just told Fox News that the horrifying aerial footage of the destruction in Gaza that we’ve been seeing is because every single building in Gaza was booby trapped with explosives by Hamas.

“The reason you see the flattened buildings is because Hamas booby traps every single building,” Netanyahu said. “So when we come in, we first have the population moved even though Hamas tries to keep them in the combat zones. But after they move, and we start to move into the neighborhoods that are now populated only by terrorists, they ignite these booby traps. So what we do is we put in an APC, an armored personnel carrier, with a lot of explosives. Detonate it. It sets off all the booby traps and the buildings begin to collapse as a result of that. They’re empty buildings, they’re not populated buildings.”

Absolutely nobody believes this is true. Not one single person alive on this earth sincerely believes that Gaza now looks like a gravel parking lot because Hamas placed explosives inside every single building. Netanyahu doesn’t believe it. Israel’s most venomous supporters don’t believe it. It’s just part of the nonstop fountain of lies they are spewing to avoid acknowledging what we all know we’re looking at. They’ve told so many lies by now that they’ve got to keep lying and lying just to stay afloat, like a man desperately treading water to avoid drowning.

This genocide is one nonstop insult to our intelligence. It’s actually degrading at this point. The lies Israel and its supporters have to pretend to believe are getting so ridiculous that supporting Israel is now an act of public humiliation and self-debasement.

Former Israeli prime minister Naftali Bennett has a long rant on his social media accounts complaining that Israel’s “status in the United States is collapsing”, including among Republicans, with public sentiment turning against them because of what is happening in Gaza.

As you might expect, Bennett does not frame this as a sign that Israel should stop committing genocide in Gaza, but rather complains of a crisis of “antisemitism” in the United States, and accuses Netanyahu of failing to adequately propagandize Americans.

“Jews in the United States are subject to a torrential wave of anti-Semitism, like him I don’t remember in my life,” Bennett moans, adding, “Antisemites increase to compare the ‘hunger’ in Gaza to the Holocaust, and thus reduce the memory of the Holocaust. They act that the hunger accusation will haunt israel its citizens, our soldiers, for generations.”

“If Netanyahu’s propaganda men worked against the enemies of Israel *outside* a tenth of the talent, speed and dedication with which they operate the propaganda machine against their political rivals *inside* israel our situation would be amazing,” Bennet writes, saying he wants to “re-establish a rapid and synchronized explanation headquarters”.

“Explanation” is the literal translation of the Hebrew word “hasbara”, i.e. pro-Israel propaganda.

Meanwhile the term “hasbara” itself is reportedly being abandoned by the Israeli Foreign Ministry, as westerners have come to associate the term with genocide propaganda.

The Times of Israel reports:

“Long referred to as hasbara, a term used to denote both public relations and propaganda that has been freighted with negative baggage in recent years, the ministry now brands its approach as toda’a — which translates to ‘awareness’ or ‘consciousness’ — an apparent shift toward broader, more proactive messaging.”

So they’re not abandoning the genocide, and they’re not abandoning the genocide propaganda, they’re just abandoning the word for the genocide propaganda because people have come to associate that word with propaganda in support of genocide.

The entire Zionist project is built on a foundation of lies. And their lies are starting to catch up with them. They’re now at a point where the lies are beginning to damage the public image they’re intended to protect.

When a liar is recognized as a liar, his lies will forevermore work only as an antidote to his past lies, and as a light to further expose his intent. From that point on any lie he tells just shows people how ugly his character and intentions really are.

There is no other weapon that works that way. No other weapon which when it’s seen immediately stops working, actively disarms the attacker, starts fixing what he broke, and starts attacking him.

Truth will win in the end.

https://caitlinjohnstone.com.au/2025/08 ... -own-lies/

Nobody seems to care if they are caught in a lie anymore. Donald Trump has been at the vanguard of this tendency. All bourgeois politicians lie but never so heedlessly. For Trump this has been a life-long behavior which is greatly facilitated by being filthy rich which gives one the ability to make their own reality, or at least the appearance thereof. The short attention span of the public engendered the internet has been indispensable in this as has been so-called reality TV.

Israel’s govt issues ‘death sentence’ to remaining captives
Max Blumenthal·August 8, 2025

Israel’s military leadership has acknowledged that full occupation of Gaza will cause the killing of the remaining captives. But Netanyahu’s government seems to want them dead.
In June 2024, after Israel’s army slaughtered over 200 civilians in Gaza’s Nuseirat Refugee Camp, including several execution style killings to extricate a hostage, Noa Argamani, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced a new policy: if Israel soldiers came too close to areas where captives were held, the prisoners would lose their lives. Israel’s refusal to heed this policy led to the killing of Hersh Goldberg-Polin and five others just over two months later.

Now, in a fit of desperation, after failing to force the hand of Hamas through imposed famine and previous campaigns of military pressure, Israel’s security cabinet has approved plans to ethnically cleanse the whole of Gaza City and occupy urban areas where captives might be located. Eyal Zamir, the Israeli army chief of staff, has warned Israel’s security cabinet that the full conquest of Gaza would place the captives’ lives in peril. “The deeper we go into sensitive areas, the greater the risk to the hostages,” he acknowledged, while still offering support for the escalation.

The Hostages and Missing Families Forum that advocates for the captives went even further, proclaiming that “the Israeli government sentenced the living hostages to death and the fallen hostages to disappearance” by announcing a takeover of Gaza.

Hamas, too, has cautioned that the maximalist Israeli plan will place the ten or so remaining captives in mortal danger. “Netanyahu’s plans to expand the aggression confirm beyond any doubt that he seeks to get rid of his captives and sacrifice them,” the Palestinian resistance group declared.

For the most influential members of Israel’s messianic-fascist government, the captives present a final obstacle to the “total victory” agenda, which can only be fulfilled with the defeat of Hamas, the annexation of northern Gaza and the expulsion of much of Gaza’s population. Bezalel Smotrich, the fanatical Finance Minister who forms the linchpin of Netanyahu’s coalition, has openly argued that returning the captives through negotiations was “not the most important thing.”

Israel’s Channel 13 reported this August 7 that Smotrich sabotaged a hostage deal backed by Israel’s military-intelligence apparatus, joining with Netanyahu to unleash carnage across Gaza in flagrant violation of a US-brokered ceasefire. Now, with the full conquest of Gaza on the horizon, he and his allies are presented with the tantalizing opportunity to wipe out the remaining Israeli captives in Gaza. In their view, this would fully deprive Hamas of its negotiating leverage, and clear the way to triumph.

Israel’s military first demonstrated its willingness to kill large numbers of its own citizens when it implemented the “mass Hannibal” directive on October 7, 2023. The purpose of the free fire orders, which led to the destruction of scores of vehicles containing Jewish Israeli captives heading toward Gaza, and the killing of possibly hundreds of Israeli citizens, was to limit the enemy’s ability to extract political concessions through a hostage deal. In the months that followed, Israeli strikes killed at least 20 captives inside Gaza and wounded or threatened over 50 others, according to an investigation by Haaretz. The Israeli paper neglected to include the wife and young children of Yarden Bibas, a former captive who acknowledged while in captivity that his family had been killed by an Israeli airstrike.

For Israel’s government, the handful of captives remaining inside Gaza are an inconvenient political obstacle to “total victory.” The mass Hannibal Directive that began on October 7 may soon be completed.

Yasser Abu Shabab: Israel’s agent of chaos in Gaza

Tel Aviv promotes a warlord with a criminal past to impose its starvation and displacement agenda on Palestinians in Gaza under the guise of humanitarian governance.

In late July, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) published an op-ed attributed to Yasser Abu Shabab, a Palestinian warlord with a criminal past, portraying him and his militia as potential saviors of Gaza.

The piece, echoing Israeli talking points, suggested that US and Arab support for Abu Shabab could swiftly “transform” most of the strip “from a war zone into functioning communities,” ostensibly free from Israeli bombardment and flush with humanitarian aid.

But behind this carefully crafted image lies an Israeli proxy – a man embedded in organized crime and political subterfuge, now repurposed to advance Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan to starve, displace, and ultimately ethnically cleanse Palestinians in Gaza.
Who is Abu Shabab?

Abu Shabab, 35, hails from Rafah in southern Gaza and belongs to the Bedouin Tarabin tribe, which spans Gaza, Israel’s Naqab, and Egypt’s Sinai. Before Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on 7 October 2023, he was notorious for his involvement in smuggling weapons, drugs, and contraband through Gaza’s tunnels and border crossings. He was also believed to have ties to extremist groups in Sinai, including the local ISIS affiliate, formerly known as Ansar Beit al-Maqdis.

Hamas authorities had imprisoned him for murder and drug trafficking, but he was released in October 2023 when Israeli air raids forced the movement to open its prisons.

Since then, Abu Shabab has rebranded himself as a “nationalist,” a “humanitarian,” and even a “liberator.”

But these claims are widely rejected by Palestinians, including members of his own tribe. A senior Tarabin elder publicly disowned him, labeling him a “looter and bandit” operating solely for personal gain. Aid officials echoed this assessment. One aid coordinator called him a “criminal, a fugitive ... untrustworthy and mentally unstable.”

His own relatives have accused him of collaborating with the occupation military in targeted killings of Palestinians and have called for his “liquidation,” declaring his “blood is forfeit.”

Starving as warfare

After the 7 October resistance operation by Palestinian factions, then-defense minister Yoav Gallant – now a fugitive from international justice – announced a “complete siege” on Gaza, cutting off all access to food, water, fuel, and electricity. “We are fighting animals and are acting accordingly,” Gallant said in Hebrew.

Days later, a detailed proposal to forcibly expel all Palestinians from Gaza, under the pretext of protecting them, was prepared by Israel’s Ministry of Information.

Weeks later, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for both Gallant and Netanyahu on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity, including the use of starvation as a method of warfare.

In response to mounting global scrutiny, Tel Aviv pivoted to a more insidious strategy: weaponizing hunger through sabotaging the existing UN aid distribution system.

In January 2024, Israel launched a smear campaign against the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), the main provider of aid to Gaza, falsely claiming it was infiltrated by Hamas operatives who took part in Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. The campaign was successful in pressuring western countries to cut the UN refugee agency’s funding.

Simultaneously, Israel slashed the number of aid trucks allowed into Gaza. By February, only 62 trucks entered daily – a fraction of the 500 required to prevent mass hunger.

Israel ensured even this amount of food would not reach those who needed it by carrying out a string of airstrikes against members of Gaza’s Hamas-run civilian police force. The attacks caused officers, who were protecting the convoys, to withdraw from the Palestinian side of the Kerem Shalom crossing.

According to the Washington Post, the amount of aid entering Gaza “collapsed,” as the convoys delivering it were then exposed to widespread looting by criminal gangs.

In May 2024, the occupation state further moved to sabotage the UN aid system by occupying and closing the Rafah crossing with Egypt, the route through which most aid had flowed, and redirecting it through the Kerem Shalom.

Tel Aviv’s looting agent

With the withdrawal of Hamas police, Abu Shabab and his gang established a base in southeast Gaza from which it could freely loot aid trucks entering the strip via Kerem Shalom, all while operating under Israel’s protection and watchful eye.

In October 2024, the UN issued a memo concluding that criminal gangs “may be benefiting from a passive if not active benevolence” or “protection” from the Israeli military. According to the memo, one gang leader established a “military like compound” in an area “restricted, controlled and patrolled by the IDF.”

The memo identified Abu Shabab as “the main and most influential stakeholder behind systematic and massive looting” of aid convoys.

The largest single looting incident occurred in November 2024. On that day, a huge joint convoy of 109 UN trucks carrying food supplies entered Gaza via Kerem Shalom – only to be ambushed and stripped bare by armed looters. According to UN officials, 98 out of the 109 trucks were raided, their food, fuel, and even tires stolen.

It was “the biggest looting of UN aid anywhere, ever,” in the words of an NPR reporter.

Crucially, a UN spokesperson noted the convoy had been rerouted on short notice by the Israeli military onto unfamiliar roads, ensuring it would fall prey to the gangs.

For months, Israel approved the use of only one road passing through a “desolate patch” of southeast Gaza, the Washington Post observed.

“The only route they give us is directly through the looters,” said one aid worker speaking with the newspaper.

Israeli media later reported that Abu Shabab’s group was armed with Kalashnikov rifles provided by “Israeli security bodies,” in a decision approved by Netanyahu, providing a further sign that Israel was behind Abu Shabab’s looting campaign.

Blaming Hamas

While covertly facilitating Abu Shabab’s looting, Israeli officials publicly blamed Hamas for stealing aid, in an effort to further restrict the entry of food to Gaza and deepen the hunger and starvation of its residents.

In the wake of the mass looting incident in November, it was reported that:

“COGAT, the Israeli military’s civilian affairs department for the Palestinian territories, has justified restrictions on the flow of goods by alleging repeatedly that Hamas is stealing aid and preventing it from reaching civilians.”

Israel’s cynical game was confirmed in May 2025 by Jonathan Whittall, the head of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in the occupied Palestinian territories. In reference to Abu Shabab, he stated that:

“Israel has publicly claimed that the UN and NGO aid is being diverted by Hamas. But this doesn’t hold up to scrutiny. The real theft of aid since the beginning of the war has been carried out by criminal gangs, under the watch of Israeli forces, and they were allowed to operate in proximity to the Kerem Shalom crossing point into Gaza.”

Whittall’s comments were further validated by a July 2025 USAID report, which also confirmed Hamas had not been involved in stealing aid.

A war of attrition

In March 2025, Israel unilaterally broke a ceasefire reached with Hamas in January. Israeli leaders once again openly imposed a new siege on Gaza, preventing all aid from reaching the strip.

Then, in April, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued evacuation orders covering most of Gaza, while launching a new offensive pushing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians into an “ever-shrinking bubble,” CNN reported. Katz’s goal was to “empty” large parts of Gaza while treating anyone who refused to obey evacuation orders as a “combatant.”

While Israel claimed its objective was to defeat Hamas and free Israeli captives held by the group, CNN observed that, “Israel’s strategy may have another purpose; to make life so unbearable for Gazans crammed into an ever-smaller pocket of territory without proper shelter that they begin to head for the exit.”

Katz appeared to make this objective clear, saying amid the offensive and blockade that, “We are working to advance the plan for the voluntary migration of Gaza’s residents.”

According to Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi, the so-called migration plan would be anything but voluntary:

“The real and lasting answer will come only through the full advancement of the emigration plan – ‘Force him until he says, I want it.’”

Gaza ‘Humanitarian’ Foundation

In parallel, Netanyahu launched the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), an aid mechanism staffed by former US special forces and contractors with opaque funding.

But the GHF, which began operating in May, did not distribute aid across Gaza. It established isolated “hubs” in the south, “designed as death traps.” Nearly 1,000 Palestinians were shot at or killed while seeking food from these hubs. Some were targeted by armed GHF security guards, while others were targeted by Israeli soldiers opening fire on starving crowds with sniper rifles, mortar shells, and even tank fire.

Despite the danger, Palestinians needing aid to prevent their children from starving had no choice but to come to the GHF sites, which meant relocating to tent camps near them.

The GHF was part of Israel’s military operation “Gideon’s Chariots,” with the stated objective of the “concentration and movement of the population.” In June, Tel Aviv admitted its goal: relocating all Gazans to a southern “sterile zone” surrounding the GHF hubs.

The UN and aid groups quickly rejected the GHF aid model, saying Israel was “using food as a tool for forced displacement.”

Concentration camps

As hunger deepened, Abu Shabab posted videos inviting displaced Palestinians to settle in his Israeli-guarded tent city in eastern Rafah.

He claimed to launch a recruitment drive to staff “administrative and community committees,” which would include doctors and nurses, engineers, primary school teachers, and public relations experts.

Abu Shabab claimed that more than 2,000 civilians were already living in his “protected zone,” and that his Popular Forces, allegedly consisting of just 100 armed men, had built schools, health centers, and other civilian infrastructure there.

Speaking with the Washington Post, he asked for support from the US, EU, and Arab states.

“We hope they support our vision and empower us to make all people in the Gaza Strip live like we do, taking control of our own areas in dignity and humanity,” Abu Shabab stated.

However, his attempt to bring “dignity” to Palestinians was soon revealed to be the first stage of an Israeli effort to build a massive concentration camp in Rafah.

On 7 July, Defense Minister Katz announced a plan to build a “humanitarian city” on the ruins of Rafah, in the same area where Israel allowed Abu Shabab’s Popular Forces to establish their base and tent camp.

The plan would begin by moving 600,000 Palestinians, primarily from the tent camps in the Al-Muwasi area, into the new zone after a security screening. The remainder of Gaza’s over 2 million Palestinians would be moved there later.

“Once inside, residents would not be allowed to leave,” Haaretz reported, citing the defense minister.

The planned “humanitarian city,” which no one would be “allowed to leave,” was quickly acknowledged as a concentration camp and the first step toward the complete ethnic cleansing of Gaza, including by former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

“It is a concentration camp. I am sorry … this is part of an ethnic cleansing,” Olmert told The Guardian. “It is to deport them, to push them, and to throw them away.”

Manufactured governance, planned chaos

In June, Prime Minister Netanyahu finally acknowledged support for Abu Shabab, saying on social media that Israel had “activated” some Palestinian clans in Gaza, on the advice of “security officials.”

Netanyahu’s comments affirmed previous reports in Israeli media that the operation to arm Abu Shabab and other clan-based gangs was “planned and managed” by the Shin Bet to create “alternative governing structures” that challenge Hamas.

The strategy mirrored the occupation state’s project to create “village leagues” in the occupied West Bank in the 1970s and 80s. The project involved backing local clan leaders with funds, weapons, and privileges to weaken the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and block Palestinian statehood.

“It’s the oldest colonial strategy in the book,” said Rashid Khalidi of Columbia University. By supporting Abu Shabab, Israel had succeeded in “sowing utter chaos,” which Israel wants” because if the Palestinians are unified, then they might have to actually negotiate or deal with them,” Khalidi added.

In addition to helping Israel starve Palestinians and establish a concentration camp for their eventual ethnic cleansing from the Gaza, Abu Shabab has vowed to help in the next stage of the chaos Israel has planned: civil war.

“There is no stopping a civil war against Hamas,” Abu Shabab stated in an interview with Israeli public broadcaster KAN in July, claiming that his Popular Forces “will be the heirs in Gaza” after Hamas is “crushed and defeated.”

Far from empowering Palestinians, Abu Shabab is simply a tool of Israeli strategy – facilitating the starvation, fragmentation, and displacement of his own people to serve the occupation state’s long war on Palestinian liberation.

Shouting match erupts in Israeli security cabinet over Gaza occupation plan: Report

Tensions among allies over the plan have begun to escalate, as Trump reportedly 'yelled' at Netanyahu in a phone call about Tel Aviv's starvation policy in Gaza

An overnight meeting of Israel’s security cabinet on 7 August was marked by infighting over a proposal by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to occupy Gaza fully, Israeli media reported.

In a statement released just before 5 am the following day, the Prime Minister’s office said the security cabinet had approved Netanyahu’s proposal to directly seize and occupy the entire Gaza Strip, starting with Gaza City.

The meeting devolved into a “shouting” match after the military’s chief, Eyal Zamir, expressed his objection to the plan, advocating that the army encircle and lay siege to Gaza City instead.

Several ministers clashed openly with Zamir over his opposition to the plan, which was approved following a vote by the ministers comprising the cabinet, Ynet reported Friday.

Under the approved plan, Israel expects the forced displacement of Gaza City’s civilian population by 7 October.

After this “symbolic date,” a siege would be imposed on any Hamas fighters remaining in the city. In the past, the Israeli military has stated that any civilians not obeying forced evacuation orders would be considered as combatants.

Ynet noted the approved plan avoids the term “occupation,” using the word “takeover” instead to allow Israel to avoid responsibility under international law for Palestinian civilians in Gaza. However, a senior Israeli official “acknowledged the intent is effectively to occupy Gaza,” beginning with the takeover of Gaza City.

Zamir pushed back, warning of the consequences of displacing about 1 million people from Gaza City and the potential danger to the Israeli soldiers still held captive by Hamas in Gaza.

In a “heated exchange” with National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, Zamir said, “There is no humanitarian answer for a million people we will transfer. Everything will be complicated.”

“I suggest you remove the return of the hostages from the war’s objectives,” he added.

Ben-Gvir responded angrily to Zamir, saying, “Stop talking to the media. We want victory. We all care about the hostages, but we also care about the soldiers and fighters who demand a victory. The military keeps briefing reporters. You are subordinate to the political echelon. Learn from the police how to follow the decisions of the political leadership.”

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich also responded to Zamir angrily.

“We must talk about victory. If we agree to a temporary deal, it’s a defeat. We must not stop midway. Hamas must pay a price for what they did,” Smotrich stated.

The army chief fired back by saying that occupying all of Gaza would require Israeli troops to enter sensitive areas, and there would be no way to ensure the captives would not be harmed.

Zamir also warned that an occupation would severely wear down Israeli troops amid an ongoing manpower shortage.

Tensions also allegedly marred a phone conversation between US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu on 28 July, according to sources speaking with NBC News.

One US official said the call descended into shouting over concerns in the White House about the ongoing mass killing of Palestinians seeking aid at distribution hubs operated by the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).

Nearly 1,000 have been killed by Israeli forces near the hubs since the GHF began operating in May. Israeli troops have opened fire at desperate and starving Palestinians using sniper, tank, and drone fire.

The tense phone call came a day after Netanyahu publicly declared there was “no policy of starvation in Gaza. And there is no starvation in Gaza.”

Trump publicly contradicted him, the next day saying that he had seen images of children in Gaza who “look very hungry,” that there is “real starvation” there, and that “you can’t fake that.”

To Future Generations: They Knew. They All Knew What Was Happening In Gaza.

Don’t let them get away with saying they didn’t know. They knew. They knew the entire time. Brand them permanently with this shame, and force them to carry it with them for the rest of their lives.

Caitlin Johnstone

A note to future generations for historical record:

Every pundit, politician and reporter of our time who claims they didn’t know what was happening in Gaza is lying.

They knew what was happening. They knew Israel was telling lies. They knew about everything.

They had access to the same information as all the rest of us. We watched them make excuses and ignore indisputable facts every step of the way. There was absolutely no confusion about what they were looking at. It was all right out in the open.

Don’t let them get away with saying they didn’t know. They knew. They knew the entire time. Brand them permanently with this shame, and force them to carry it with them for the rest of their lives.

I hate all genocide supporters equally, regardless of their religion. Telling me your religion is like telling me about your dreams: it’s completely uninteresting to me. If you support an active genocide you’re a bad person who deserves to be shunned and reviled, regardless of what your religion happens to be.

It’s so wild how Jewish people will just stride confidently into public discourse about Gaza while strongly emphasizing their Jewishness, as though their support for genocide is somehow special and different from any other asshole’s support for genocide. Wanting to starve civilians and mass murder children makes you a piece of shit, whether you are Jewish, Mormon, Buddhist, or atheist.

Nobody cares what religious belief systems you happen to hold in your head while you advocate massacring civilians, they care about the fact that you advocate massacring civilians. Being Jewish doesn’t give you some kind of magical immunity from being held to basic moral standards and being judged by society for supporting a mass atrocity. It’s got nothing to do with anything.

After a whistleblower on the so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation named Tony Aguilar shared the heartbreaking story about a boy named Amir who became one of the many Palestinians massacred by Israeli forces while trying to obtain food at an aid site, his family reported that he had been missing since that day and they hadn’t known what had happened to him. They still don’t know where his body is.

The fact that people just “go missing” in Gaza after being killed indicates Israel often buries the bodies of victims to cover up their deaths — something they’ve been caught doing before. This is one of many reasons why we can be sure that the actual death toll is much higher than the official record.

Still can’t believe Israel supporters spent days yelling “Israel isn’t starving children, it’s starving SICK children!” and thought that was an awesome argument.

Friendly periodic reminder that the “Israel bombs hospitals because the hospitals are Hamas bases” narrative was conclusively debunked when IDF soldiers were repeatedly documented entering the hospitals they attacked and destroying individual pieces of medical equipment, one by one. Hamas isn’t the target, healthcare is the target. That has been irrefutably established.

Opposing the Gaza genocide has meant being proven right about everything from the very beginning every step of the way, hating being proven right, and then having the liberals who kept yelling at you for your rightness slowly begin to acknowledge that you were right, while still finding excuses to hate you for being right anyway.

A new poll by the Israel Democracy Institute has found that only 6.7 percent of Jewish Israelis say they are “very troubled” by reports of starvation and suffering in Gaza, with 67 percent saying they are either “not at all troubled” or “not so troubled” by the news. That means those who are pretty much fine with deliberately starving children outnumber those who hold a normal attitude on the matter ten to one.

Poll after poll after poll shows that Jewish Israelis are horrible people who are quantifiably much more cruel and immoral than pretty much any other population. At a certain point you have to stop thinking the polls might be mistaken and see that the only real mistake is Israel.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian support for the war with Russia has plunged even further, with a new Gallup poll finding that just 24 percent of Ukrainians now support continuing the fight until victory. A 69 percent supermajority now say they want peace negotiations as soon as possible.

I get called a Putin-loving cryptofascist vatnik tankie Kremlin agent whenever I say this, but a majority of Ukrainians have wanted this war to end for a while now. At this point the only ones who want more war are westerners, plus some of the Ukrainians who live far away from the fighting.

We’re being told the holocaust in Gaza can’t be ended, and we’re being told the war nobody wants in Ukraine must continue. We are ruled by monsters.
