The first all-Russian competition in high-speed grave digging was held in Novosibirsk
05/15/2021
In the USSR, they invented rhythmic gymnastics, and in bourgeois Russia - high-speed digging of graves

As part of the 20th regional exhibition "Necropolis-Siberia 2021" , held in Novosibirsk , the first all-Russian competition in high-speed digging of graves took place, Izvestia reports . The goals of the competition declared by the organizers are to raise the prestige of the profession, increase the level of work performance and attract the attention of the younger generation to the profession of a funeral service worker.

Image
Photos from the venue / Taiga.info
The program of the Necropolis-Siberia 2021 exhibition includes round tables, contests, excursions, banquets, speeches by officials and businessmen and refresher courses. For example, the creator of the first educational project for the training of memorial consultants, Irina Dolzhenko, gave a lesson on the topic “Exclusive consultant. 5 steps to take expensive orders ”.
The tournament participants had to dig a hole 200x80x160 cm not only as quickly as possible, but also accurately. The judge used a coffin to control the size.

It is clear that the stated goals of the "first all-Russian" competitions are "sucked from the finger" and will remain unattainable. No one is going to admire the skill of the cops and the prestige of the profession will not rise. Even such "generous" prize money as 30 thousand for the first place, 20 thousand for the second and 10 thousand for the third will not help . But the lack of other work in the regions due to the reduction of industrial enterprises and the constantly growing demand for funeral services will much faster force young people to pick up a pick or a shovel and go to earn bread in the cemetery.
We in no way consider the labor of funeral workers unnecessary or demeaning. But we doubt that many people came to the cemetery to dig graves because they like this job and have dreamed about it for a long time.
The competition was held rather for the amusement of the forum participants. The businessmen, imitating the “business people” from “Russia We Lost”, decided to measure themselves against “whose hard workers are cooler” and staged a kind of cockfighting.

And at the forum-exhibition itself, businessmen gathered to solve completely different problems. Businessmen and officials in a comfortable environment share their experience of how to make money with funeral services. This sphere has always brought good profits to the ritual business tycoons, and with such a mortality rate as it is now in Russia, their wallets "will be filled with hard cash" even faster.

Once upon a time, when the power in the country belonged to the working people, we had a new sport that even became Olympic - rhythmic gymnastics. Modern bourgeois Russia "gave birth" to a high-speed digging of graves. Feel the difference.

Those involved in "extremism" will not be allowed into the State Duma
05/16/2021
The bill was supported by all parties of the State Duma

The State Duma has accepted for consideration a bill cutting off citizens involved in the activities of "extremist" organizations from participation in the parliamentary elections. Given the broad interpretation of "extremism" used in the Russian Federation , it can be assumed that on the eve of the autumn elections to the State Duma, a number of "problematic" organizations for the authorities will be recognized as "extremist" ... It is characteristic that the document was introduced by the deputies of all parliamentary parties - "United Russia", " Fair Russia ”, the Liberal Democratic Party and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. In other words, all factions of the State Duma are unanimous in support of the bill.

Foreign and domestic policy
The text of the bill has been published in the State Duma's Legislative Activity Support System. The explanatory note says:

The said prohibition [on the prohibition of being elected deputy of the State Duma - Ed. ] will apply to founders, members of the collegial governing body, heads and deputy heads of extremist and terrorist organizations, heads of their structural units and their deputies, members, participants, employees and other persons involved in the activities of such [extremist and terrorist organizations - Ed. ] organizations.

The authors of the bill propose to introduce for persons who were in an "extremist" organization or were involved in it, the defeat of rights (deprivation of passive suffrage) for many years. If a citizen was noticed in the leadership of an “extremist” organization within 3 years prior to its ban or liquidation by a court decision, then he falls under the proposed law. He will be deprived of the right to be elected to the State Duma for 5 years . For ordinary "extremists" the restrictions are more loyal: to defeat their rights, they only need to "spot" in an "extremist" structure a year before it was banned; loss of rights will be 3 years .

Attention is drawn to the vagueness of the wording about the "involvement in the activities" of the banned organizations. The Federal Law “On Counteracting Extremist Activity” does not contain definitions of “involvement”. The only definition is contained in Article 6 of the Federal Law “On Counteracting the Legalization (Laundering) of Criminally Obtained Incomes and the Financing of Terrorism,” and it refers to the activities of Rosfinmonitoring. Thus, the law, in principle, can be applied as a club in relation to an indefinite circle of persons.

The bill was signed by eight State Duma deputies, including four from United Russia , Nikolai Ryzhak and Alexei Chepa from Fair Russia , Rizvan Kurbanov from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation , Dmitry Savelyev from the Liberal Democratic Party .

Do we need any more evidence that the CPRF, direct descendant of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, has totally degenerated into the sort of social democratic party which betrays the working class at every opportunity?

The State Duma adopted a law banning the denial of the role of the USSR in the defeat of Nazism
05/26/2021
State hypocrisy

The State Duma in the first reading adopted a bill prohibiting publicly denying the decisive role of the USSR in the liberation of Europe from fascism. The bill proposes to prohibit the public identification of the goals, actions and decisions of the Soviet leadership, military command and military personnel with the goals, actions, decisions of representatives of Germany and the Axis countries established by the Nuremberg Tribunal and courts during the Second World War. The bill was submitted to the State Duma on May 5.

Image
The State Duma honored the memory of Nicholas II

In connection with this bill, it should be noted that no one has done more to distort the role of the USSR in the war than the Russian authorities. Over the decades that have passed since the elimination of socialism, tons of waste paper have been written, distorting the history of the Great Patriotic War, hundreds and thousands of feature and "documentary" films have been shot, falsifying and distorting history. And if any graphomaniac who imagines himself as a historian can write books, then the shooting of films and television films requires significant costs. In addition, the screening of these films on television and in films also requires material costs. Moreover, considering that such products are not popular and unprofitable. For example, Nikita Mikhalkov's film Burnt by the Sun 2: Anticipation failed miserably at the box office, despite the fact that it was widely advertised. Obviously that the manufacture of such products is impossible without the support of the state and private firms. And the state provides such support through the Film Fund, as well as through state television channels ordering and broadcasting such products.

One of the clearest examples of falsification is the statement of the State Duma of the Russian Federation "On the Katyn tragedy and its victims", adopted on November 26, 2010, in which the lower house of parliament finds the USSR guilty of shooting captured Polish officers in the Katyn region. However, this is a direct violation of the decision of the Nuremberg Tribunal, which recognized the results of the Burdenko commission, which established the guilt of the Nazis in the Katyn executions. Now the authorities shyly keep silent about this statement, and some time ago in Russia, the USSR's guilt in the mass execution was actively promoted.

Russian authorities continue to distort the history of the war even now. However, this is now done more accurately. Now the role of the USSR in victory is no longer denied, but the Soviet political and military leadership is portrayed as illiterate, unable to fight and filling the enemy with corpses. The socio-political prerequisites for the defeat of the invaders and the class nature of the war are hidden. Moreover, the Great Patriotic War itself is portrayed as a victory of the Russian nation over the German one, which distorts the real content of the confrontation.

The truth is that capitalist Germany attacked the Soviet Union with the aim of destroying the world's first state of workers and peasants, which posed a threat to capitalism. Representatives of all peoples of the USSR fought shoulder to shoulder against fascism, personified by the terrorist dictatorship of financial capital, together with communists and anti-fascists from all countries of the world, including those from the Axis countries. The country with the most advanced system defeated the state that became the bulwark of world reaction.

Such behavior by the Russian ruling class is to be expected and is necessary for their false legitimacy. Capitalists must lie, the truth condemns them.

Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation: "extra" profit is needed by oligarchs, not the budget
05/30/2021
Financiers changed their minds to increase the export duty on oil

The RF Ministry of Finance has changed its mind about raising taxes for the oil business. Earlier, the government intended to increase the export duty on oil from June 1, but now officials state that the sale of the country's oil resources in 2021 demonstrates high profitability. Therefore, instead of additional injections into the state budget, they leave super-profits to the oligarchs. As always.

Image

The website of the Ministry of Finance reports on the revision of the decision on the tax burden . The press service of the ministry quotes the words of the Deputy Minister of Finance of Russia Alexei Sazanov , said after the meeting on taxation of the oil and gas industry:

“... In general, now there is no need to promptly amend the tax regime for the oil industry, since this year there are high indicators of its profitability, exceeding the levels of both 2020 and 2019. This is facilitated by the favorable pricing environment for energy resources and the ruble exchange rate ”.

Earlier, the Ministry of Finance intended to increase the export duty on Urals crude from $ 54.9 to $ 58.8 per ton from June 1 . But since the profitability from the sale of the country's raw materials exceeded the expected values, the Ministry of Finance was satisfied with the current export duty and decided not to redirect the "extra" profit to the state budget. Oil corporations need money more than ordinary citizens of Russia. Is not it?

The fuel and energy complex remains the most privileged sector of the Russian economy.

Privatization of Russian Post begins
05/31/2021
Each "daughter" - a partner

Russian Post will be transformed into a holding of more than 10 companies, RBC reports . The stated meaning of the reform is to improve management efficiency, and for subsidiaries to directly attract, for example, shareholders and financing. According to Maksim Akimov , General Director of the company , the transition to a holding model will give new responsibility to management, an opportunity for subsidiaries to obtain partners, including joint stock partners, independently raise funding, quickly generate products, test hypotheses and bring them to the market. Akimov also considers it expedient to attract minority shareholders to the company's capital.

Image

The creeping privatization of the country's postal service began, of course, not today. So, in 2018, a decision was made to transform Russian Post from a federal state unitary enterprise into a joint stock company. Then this was accompanied by the obligatory assurances in such cases that there would be no privatization, since 100% of the shares of the newly created joint-stock company would remain in state ownership:

“The shares of the Russian Post will belong only to the state. Any changes in this matter - only through the federal law, " said one of the authors of the bill on reorganization, head of the Duma Committee on Natural Resources, Property and Land Relations Nikolai Nikolaev .

According to Nikolayev, the bill was supposed to help the Russian Post "get rid of the negative image, which has already become a household name among the people, and allow it to adopt new technologies, to become" a symbol of progress, accessibility and guarantees for citizens. "

Image
Have you also noticed that the "Russian Post" now symbolizes progress ? ( Photo )

At the same time, in 2018, there was talk about "a protective mechanism for the 350-thousandth army of postmen from reductions during the reorganization of the postal service" and it was predicted that in the event of reorganization, the company's revenue would increase from the current 180 billion rubles to 500 billion.

In 2020, the revenue of Russian Post JSC amounted to 206.86 billion rubles. But, apparently, the scale of the reorganization was insufficient. And now they will fix it.

The renewed Russian Post, comprising a dozen subsidiaries, threatens to squeeze out the leading players in the retail and e-commerce markets, fast home delivery of goods, as well as create the country's largest ultra-small format network in the convenience store and discounter segments. This is in addition to the already existing joint ventures with VTB - National Logistic Technologies and Post Bank, as well as the developer of digital services PostTech.

Image

In all likelihood, non-profit mail delivery activities will be transferred to franchise partners, and some more will be transferred to the “office at home” format. So what? - self-employed postmen working "at home" - it is so fashionable and modern. And the post offices freed up as a result can already be completely transformed into shops and bank offices.

In support of the undoubted correctness of the decision, the head of the Russian Post said that the holdings are such companies as Poste Italiane (Italy), Deutsche Post DHL (Germany), Singapore Post (Singapore). “And it is quite understandable why rational human thought in other parts of the world came to this: it is impossible to control such a huge body in the form of a monolith. The rigid structure crumbles under any shock, ”he noted.

Since such an important person in the postal business says that the post office of Singapore (less than 6 million inhabitants and the territory of the state, approximately equal to the area of cities such as Ufa or Tbilisi) was such a huge monolith that it was completely impossible to manage it, probably so it and there is. But it is not clear how it was possible to centrally manage the post office of the USSR with an almost 300 million population and an area of 1/6 of the Earth's land mass. Perhaps the point is, among other things, that at that time the postal service had a goal to fulfill its profile tasks, and not to squeeze Yandex.Lavka on the market?

Roman Protasevich, Casualty Of The Ryanair Incident In Belarus, Is Spilling The Beans
A TV documentary of the bomb threat against a Ryanair plan (vid) has confirmed our analysis of a false narrative which had been constructed by Belorussian regime change activists.

They had alleged that on May 23 a Ryanair plane had been forced by the Belorussian government to land in Minsk after which one activist on board, Roman Protasevich, had been arrested. But in reality a real bomb threat, delivered by email, had been received at Minsk airport as well as by Lithuanian air authorities. The plane was made aware of the threat by the Belorussian air traffic control and the pilot, after communicating with Ryanair management, had decided to land in Minsk.

Belarus handled the case by the book and the plane was released after it had been unsuccessfully searched for the alleged bomb. There were outstanding arrest warrants against two passengers on board, Roman Protasevich and his Russian girl friend Sofia Sapega. Both were detained after passing through the custom and passport controls.

Roman Protasevich had been betrayed. Other regime change activists, with whom he had disagreed, had sent the bomb threat email to get him trapped.

This is evident from his testimony in the later part of the TV documentary linked above, where he appears as a lively and engaged chain smoker.

A second Belorussian TV piece (vid), with a ninety minutes excerpt from a four hour long interview of Protasevich, was broadcast yesterday:

Former editor-in-chief of NEXTA Roman Protasevich interviewed the Belarusian state channel ONT. In it, he pleaded guilty in a criminal case to organizing and preparing actions that violate public order, and also criticized the Belarusian opposition and said he respected Alexander Lukashenko.

In the interview Protasevich is spilling the beans about the whole foreign financed opposition organization which was behind the 2020 color revolution attempt in Belarus.

Image

'Western' media, as well as other regime change activist claim that Protasevich must have been tortured to say what he says. However, aside from light handcuff marks at his wrists there is no evidence of that. Protasevich had previously been wounded when he fought in the fascist Ukrainian Azov battalion against the Donbas secessionists. He is a tough guy who will not be impressed by handcuffs which, by the way, police everywhere use for good reasons.

During the Korea war U.S. pilots, captured by China, admitted to dropping biological weapons on China. The U.S. long denied the use of biological weapons and claimed that the pilots had been tortured and made false confessions. Decades later secret files were released which proved that the claims the pilots had made had been correct.

At the beginning of the interview with Marat Markov, the head of the Belorussian state TV channel ONT, Protasevich is still somewhat tense. But after 3 or 4 minutes the talk develops into a lively exchange during which Protasevich at times interrupts and corrects the journalist. Protasevich's voice sounds rough and at times pressed. He is a chain smoker and claims to have a cold. Towards the end, when they talk about the personal damage the color revolution attempt has caused to many, both get somewhat emotional but in no way hostile to each other.

Protasevich's demeanor, engagement, body language and general attitude throughout the interview has me convinced that he doing it voluntarily and that he is telling the truth. He is not reading off a script someone else has written. He is doing a tell all about the foreign financed regime change effort he had been part of. And why not? He has been betrayed by his former comrades. He is now expecting up to fifteen years of jail. Telling it all might well help him to lessen the sentence for his crimes.

There are yet no English subtitles on the interview and there is no English language transcript of the interview. The following are excerpts from an eight part summary published in Russian language on Office Life. The text is machine translated:

Roman Protasevich on the air of the ONT TV channel on the program “Markov. Nothing personal”, said that he agreed to be interviewed completely voluntarily. But he noted that he had a little cold.
He added that it is difficult to predict how the opposition will react to the interview, and he would not be surprised to be called a traitor.

Protasevich stressed that he absolutely does not care what they say. He, according to him, just wants to do everything to correct his mistakes.
...
Roman Protasevich on the air of ONT suggested that information about his flight over Belarus could have been given by Daniil Bogdanovich, who was the project director.

Protasevich stressed that for the first time in a long time, he reported data on his movements to someone. He wrote about the flight from Athens in a chat, which includes Frank Viacorka and Daniil Bogdanovich. With the latter, Protasevich had a conflict. Roman claims that, in fact, behind his back on an online "phone call" it was said that he could be fired. He himself did not participate in the "call" due to poor communication at the hotel. His colleagues told him about the content.

Protasevich believes that it was Bogdanovich who could have initiated the possible dismissal.

During the interview, Roman also stressed that he had nothing to do with the Black Book of Belarus channel. He only held one workshop on how to make headlines, etc. Roman thinks that a lot of personal data was transferred to the channel by ex-security officials. Protasevich stressed that he had nothing to do with the publication of personal data.

The 'black book' is a Telegram channel used by the opposition to publish addresses and personal information about Belorussian policeman and their families.

Protasevich then gives some details ofn persons involved in the opposition operation and of their corruption. I will skip this here as most are unknown to me and of minor interest. These though are people we have heard of:

The interviewee also walked around Olga Karach. He said that she got her possession of a house with an area of 600 square meters. m in the elite area of Vilnius. Karach is trying to fight Tikhanovskaya for the money of the diaspora.
Protasevich added that Tikhanovskaya partly lives at the expense of the Lithuanian state, partly at the expense of some entrepreneurs. She is guarded by the Lithuanian special service.

Andrey Strizhak (BySol Foundation), according to Protasevich, is also not perfect. There were complaints against Strizhak, and they, according to Protasevich, “were clearly not unfounded”. That was when, according to Roman, there was money in the fund, and then it was gone.

In addition, Protasevich said that ByPol, in his opinion, is financed by Poland. Also, according to him, the Polish side gave 50 million zlotys to the Belarusian House in Warsaw.

Then follow details about the NEXTA Telegram channel which was used to direct last summer's demonstrations and riots in Minsk. According to Protasevich that channel has a following in Belarus of 500,000 people "at most".

Protasevich is trying to lower the potential sentence against him:

Roman Protasevich said on the air of ONT that he respects Alexander Lukashenko. At the same time, he believes that some of the decisions of this politician were erroneous.
Protasevich admitted that he “criticized Lukashenka a lot”.

He claims that he realized that many of the things for which the head of state was criticized were an element of pressure. According to Protasevich, Lukashenka acted like a man with eggs of steel.

The financing of the NEXTA channel (translated as 'Nektha') with its extensive staff is discussed next:

On the air of ONT, Roman Protasevich said that initially the Nekhta project (recognized as extremist in Belarus) lived on advertising. The posts cost "good money": for example, $20 thousand. Protasevich's salary could be $1.5 thousand. In August 2020, 5 thousand euros came out.
At some point, according to Protasevich, there was Russian funding: 3-5 thousand euros per week. The money came from a certain company from Russia, which, judging by the name, is associated with the Urals and mining.

Its owner is a well-known Russian oligarch, and he is a direct competitor of Mikhail Gutseriev. Protasevich did not give his last name, but perhaps he means a native of Minsk, Dmitry Mazepin, who actually now controls Uralkali.

Protasevich also said that it was allegedly planned to transfer one of the Nekhta channels to Russian hands.

Roman Protasevich also said that the split in the Nekhta team was due to the figure of the Belarusian political emigration Ales Zarembyuk, who, according to the journalist, used Putilo and the entire project as a “cash cow”.

Now, according to Protasevich, advertising does not appear on "Nekhta", although there are more staff in the editorial office. This, in his opinion, means that someone is supporting the project.

The socialist Belarus has extensive potash resources. That a fertilizer oligarch in neo-liberal Russia is trying to get his hands on it via regime change and privatization is not astonishing.

The next part is about the military coup attempt against Lukashenko which unraveled two months ago:

Roman Protasevich said on the air of ONT that he allegedly almost became a liaison "between the conspirators and the headquarters of Tikhanovskaya." That is, his role was to bring the headquarters together with the defendants in the case of the conspiracy against Lukashenka.
Protasevich claims that he had constant contacts with Dmitry Shchigelsky, who now lives in the United States and they allegedly have a lot in common. Unlike Alexander Feduta and Grigory Kostusev, Shchigelsky was not detained by the Belarusian special services.

Roman also assures that there are “sleeping cells” in Belarus of those who advocate a forceful scenario of overthrowing the current government.

Protasevich also claims that Frank Viacorka was not included in the project for the violent overthrow. Roman believes that he has "too long a tongue."

According to Protasevich, the conspirators talked about some 20 military families who had to be evacuated from Belarus, and they wanted to get large sums from the BySol fund for them, but this did not work out. Protasevich believes that in reality these military men and their families are fiction.

Protasevich then talks about his time with Azov:

...

At the same time, Protasevich says that he was not officially on the staff of "Azov", and not in business "he was mainly engaged in photography." But he was indeed given a light machine gun. However, with him, according to Protasevich, he did not participate in any hostilities, and almost all the time "was at the base." Roman also admits that he violated journalistic ethics.
In addition, Protasevich admitted that he is afraid of some kind of extradition (to which country, it is not clear) and hopes that Alyaksandr Lukashenka will have enough political will not to agree to extradition.

Roman claims that allegedly not so long ago he was on the verge of returning to Belarus himself. He stated that he was cooperating with the investigation and rethought a lot in life. At the end of the interview, Protasevich actually burst into tears. After that, they showed the already separately recorded commentary of the presenter, where he explained that in fact the interview lasted about four hours and not everything was aired on the air.

Awards in the Kremlin: Putin, tractor driver, doctors and pop
06/13/2021
President Demonstrated Care for Salaries

Russian President Vladimir Putin learned about the salaries of Russian collective farmers. “Not enough, to be honest,” he said with emotion and promised “to continue working on this” . An exemplary dialogue with a villager took place in the Kremlin, where the "heroes of labor" were solemnly awarded. Apparently, the election campaign of the "party in power" has begun ...

Image
Vladimir Putin and Alexander Bondarenko

On June 12, a solemn presentation of the "hero of labor" medals and state awards took place in the Kremlin. Among the awardees was Alexander Bondarenko , a tractor driver from LLC. Kirov, honored machine operator , awarded with Soviet government awards. Putin asked him about his salary and received an answer - 24 thousand rubles . The President noted that it is "not enough" , he said on that mechanic that you can earn, and much more, and generally "enough to live" .

It is difficult to say to what extent the dialogue between Putin and Bondarenko was staged. The President was more than once caught by the hand in openly staged scenes and dialogues. For example, attentive observers noticed that in the scenes of the president's communication with the "people" the same crowd appears .

Much of Putin's monologue focused on Russia's success in food exports. He even said: "But it never occurred to us that we could supply food for export . " This is a strange statement, since the Russian Federation has firmly occupied the niche of a raw material appendage on the world market. And if our country successfully exports fuel raw materials, why can't it export food raw materials? It is appropriate to compare with the Soviet Union, which exported mainly high-tech equipment , for example, power plants, tractors, cars, ships, nuclear reactors.

Physician salaries
Together with the tractor driver , doctors also received government awards . Many heartfelt words were spoken about their feat in the fight against COVID-19. However, the ostentatious concern for doctors in Russia gets along with their low salaries and constant overwork. For example, a doctor in one of the hospitals in the Kirov region told our editorial office that the salary was cut again for the team - this time by 20% . The stated reason is simple - "no money" . And reality, as always, is typical:

“They blame us, doctors, for bringing little money to the hospital during operations. And the money allocated from the budget is put into their pockets. They arrange purchases, which then do not appear, saw funds for equipment maintenance, for permanent repairs and administration bonuses. And nothing remains for our salary. As a result, for a million dollar debt, we have already closed one laboratory ... "

These phenomena are almost ubiquitous. But "the tsar does not know, the boyars do not report" ... But the notorious Metropolitan Hilarion , an obscurantist and anti-communist, who is actively engaged in falsifying history with the help of the federal media and promotes the most reactionary ideas in Russian society, received the state award along with doctors and a tractor driver .

It becomes clear who was awarded for the sake of pre-election PR, and who - for real merits. But not in front of Russia, but in front of the ruling class, which parasitizes on the resources of our country.

The queue to the clinic was pacified by the Russian Guard
06/12/2021
Special equipment has not yet been used

To restore order in the queue of patients at the clinic №1 city of Donetsk Rostov region medical institutions employees caused staff Rosgvardii , reports LENTA. The head physician called this measure a compulsory one, since the patients did not observe social distance, mask regime and threatened doctors with physical violence, using profanity.

Image
Rosgvardia employees at work

“In connection with the current situation (an increase in the incidence of a new coronavirus infection in our city), we are forced to separate the flows of patients, we are forced to require patients to comply with the remote and mask regime, and come to the clinic at the appointed time. On repeated explanations to citizens about the need to comply with these requirements, medical workers were bombarded with threats of physical violence, the use of profanity, ”the newspaper“ Novosti ” quotes the chief doctor.

We, of course, do not justify threats against doctors. But one cannot fail to take into account that the patient's dissatisfaction has a certain basis. The tension in society is growing. And health care "reforms" , aggravated by the spread of coronavirus infection, are contributing to this process.

There is no doubt that if people every day saw the state's concern for improving their lives (expanding free medicine and education, providing housing for all strata of society, a significant increase in wages, a real fight against unemployment, etc.), then they would be referred to queues in polyclinic "with understanding".

However, the opposite processes are going on around them : factories are closed , the incomes of the majority of workers are falling and the profits of the richest minority are growing , housing is becoming more expensive and paid medicine is flourishing . And naturally, people are growing dissatisfied with the injustice surrounding them every day. This leads to the fact that a fairly typical situation causes such "unrest" in society.

The modern economic structure of Russia, based on the private appropriation by a wealthy minority of the results of the labor of millions of poor people, does not effectively solve the pressing problems of the overwhelming majority of the population. Workers' discontent will grow. And the state will increasingly use its law enforcement agencies to suppress this discontent.

A simple formula: "Transport is needed where there is a population, and the population is where there is production."
06/16/2021
Interview with an employee of a transport company in the city of Kargopol

Exactly 30 years have passed since the Soviet Union ceased to exist. The results of the restoration of capitalism in our country are very disappointing. The curtailment of social guarantees and the rights of workers, the collapse of industry and the desolation of cities and villages are a faithful companion of the "invisible hand of the market", which now controls our entire life.
The ancient city of Kargopol in the Arkhangelsk region did not escape the negative tendencies common for the post-Soviet space . The lack of jobs forced a significant part of the population to leave their hometown. So, in 1989, 12495 people lived in Kargopol , by 2020 the population of the city decreased to 9951 . The above problems inevitably led to the deterioration of the city's infrastructure, in particular transport.
The ROT FRONT editorial staff interviewed the driver of the Kargopolavtotrans company , which carries out passenger transportation in the city. The employee (we, for obvious reasons, do not publish his name) spoke about the state of the transport sector and working conditions at the MU ATP "Kargopolavtotrans".

Image

- To begin with, please tell us a little about the company in which you work.

- The company was founded in 2005. The main activity is regular passenger transportation on municipal and inter-municipal routes. The number of employees of the enterprise is small - about 35 people .

- How much do workers get on average?

- Provided that the driver has worked the norm of hours, he will receive a minimum wage or a little more - 20-25 thousand rubles. Due to a shortage of personnel caused by low wages, drivers have to overwork. During processing, wages can reach 35,000 rubles. and higher. But, firstly, this does not in the best way affect road safety, and secondly, it negatively affects the health of the drivers themselves.
But even this earned money is not always possible to receive on time. Just now the labor conflict has entered the "hot phase" at the enterprise , caused by more than a two-month delay in wages. Read about it in the ROT Front article . - Ed.
- Because of the above, the question of whether you are satisfied with your salary disappears by itself ... What can you tell about your team, is it cohesive? Is there a trade union at the enterprise?

- The backbone of the enterprise is the drivers who have been working for quite some time. Most of the team is made up of people of retirement and pre-retirement age. Until 2013, there was a trade union. In the past year, there were attempts to create it again, but they were unsuccessful. At the moment, unfortunately, there is no trade union.

- There was information about a large shortage of conductors. Has it been liquidated?

- The question about conductors is as follows: the owner of the enterprise is the district administration; accordingly, financing comes from the district budget, where the deficit of funds is gigantic. The result of repeated appeals was the visit of the Deputy Minister of Transport of the Arkhangelsk Region to the enterprise. He promised to help the enterprise. But the allocation of funding was directly linked to the "optimization" of the state, as well as cutting the number of flights. The reaction of residents to the reduction in the number of flights was extremely negative, and the district administration (the customer of the transportation, as well as the owner of the enterprise) decided to leave everything as it is. None of the workers received notifications of layoffs either, so the conductors are working normally.

- What are the passengers most unhappy with?

- The greatest discontent was caused by the already announced proposal of the regional ministry of transport to reduce the number of flights. Then the public and some local deputies managed to defend the routes. Although there was an impression that the reason for criticizing the authorities was important for individual deputies, they, by and large, do not care about the problems of residents and enterprises.
Nevertheless, flights can sometimes be canceled for technical reasons: due to a shortage of drivers, as well as wear and tear of the car park. Traffic conditions can also cause buses to be late, but in most cases, passengers are sympathetic to this.

Image
Solza village, Kargopol district. The bus to this village, like many others, calls in 3 times a week. Photo

- Is there a large passenger traffic in Kargopol?

- The passenger traffic is small, and every year it decreases. According to statistics maintained by the company, over 4 years the number of passengers has decreased by 15%, and in some areas - by more than 30%. There are many reasons for this: a decline in the population, an increased number of personal vehicles, the activity of illegal carriers, with which no one is fighting.

- Does Kargopolavtotrans earn something on its own, and if so, what share of the earned money before financing from the budget?

- The main activity (passenger transportation) is unprofitable. In this regard, the company is engaged in such activities as paid parking and technical inspection. They generate little income, but they do not cover losses from the main activity. As a result of the fact that the income from these types of activities is spent on covering losses, and not on updating the material and technical base, its condition now requires very serious investments. The rest is subsidies from the local budget. But they do not fully cover all losses.

Image
Municipal bus on the streets of Kargopol. Photo
- Is the transport badly worn out? What condition are the cars in general?

- The general wear of equipment is 60-70%. Last year, under the program of co-financing from the regional and district budgets, two new buses were purchased. In 2016 and 2017, two more new buses were purchased. The rest are over 10 years old, there are buses that are 15-16 years old.

- What brands of buses are mainly used?

- Basically it is PAZ, and last year there was one new Gazelle. At the moment there is no alternative to “grooves” on rural routes, as the state of the roads leaves much to be desired.

- Kargopol is one of the oldest cities that has preserved the elements of ancient Russian architecture. Does the company operate tourist routes?

- Earlier, 10 years ago, they took tourists. Such transportation brought good profits. Now orders have become very few, as private traders have appeared who work mainly without a license, often neglecting security measures, thereby being able to offer a lower price.

Image
Oshevenskoe village, Kargopol district. Photo

- What is the general situation with employment in Kargopol?

- Even 5 years ago, small and medium-sized sawmills existed in the city and nearby villages. But then large enterprises came along. Small proprietors were mostly left out of work, and people without work. After all, the owners of large enterprises are simply mowing forests and taking them out of the district, thus rendering the roads unusable, and they are not interested in creating jobs. They do not care about how people will live here, and even more so they do not care about some kind of public transport. With the existing socio-economic formation, public transport, like the entire population of small towns, is doomed to extinction.

- Do you consider the capitalist system to be the main culprit for the unsatisfactory state of the current transport infrastructure in small towns?

- Yes, because under the existing socio-economic structure, public transport does not fulfill its main task - the transportation of passengers. Now public transport, like everything around, is only a means of earning money. If there is a passenger flow, there is profit, which means that it is possible to update the fleet and try to comply with safety requirements - if, of course, there is a desire, and a decent wage can be paid. And if there is no passenger flow, then there is no traffic. And here it doesn't matter that the village is located 100 km from the regional center, and residents have no other way to get where they need to, for example, to a hospital.

There are, of course, private traders, but as experience shows, he keeps the prices for his services comparable to the cost of a trip by bus, until the moment when regular passenger transportation stops operating. As soon as a legal carrier leaves, the price tag of a private trader soars 3-5, or even 10 times. And it is often extremely difficult for a legal carrier to survive on routes that have a long, but low number of inhabitants in the settlements through which this route passes.

Image
Dying villages as an integral part of the landscape are invariably present in the photoblog of every capital tourist who comes to admire the beauty of the Russian North. Photo

After all, the population of villages is steadily declining, young people are leaving due to lack of work. And for the remaining pensioners, the bus is the only way to get into the city.

Public transport is needed where there is a population, and the population is where there is production. Almost everything in our region has been destroyed, towns and villages are dying, and with them transport enterprises. If in Soviet times buses went from the city to every large village 3-4 times a day, now 2 times a week.

From the editor. Capitalism has once again shown its inability to meet the urgent needs of society, not to mention ensuring progressive development. In the socialist system, the workers built factories and factories with their own hands, developed state farms, which overgrown cities and towns with all the necessary infrastructure for life. Capitalism, on the other hand, destroys what was built by past generations, driving workers in search of work to overcrowded megacities so that they compete with each other for a place in low-skilled, low-paid positions.
The more workers, like our interlocutor, will realize the inferiority of the capitalist system, the faster we will build a better future.

On the future of public transport: "There is no money, hold on and earn yourself"

Results of the meeting of the team with the district administration

We continue to monitor the development of the labor conflict in the MU ATP "Kargopolavtotrans" located in the city of Kargopol, Arkhangelsk region . We remind you that the cause of the conflict was the delay in the payment of wages for more than 2 months. Desperate to get the money they earned in a different way, the drivers announced the suspension of work from June 16 - despite the fact that the decision was not easy for them: the company is the only passenger carrier in the region.

Image
It is along such roads, broken by the trucks of companies engaged in logging and exporting timber, that school and municipal buses have to make their way to many villages in the district . Photo

The determination of the collective took effect: on June 15, representatives of the district administration met with the workers of the enterprise; the chairman of the meeting of deputies of the Kargopol municipal district was also present at the meeting. As a result of negotiations, the drivers agreed not to stop transportation for now. The district administration, which is the owner of the enterprise and at the same time the customer of transportation on municipal routes, has promised to allocate 1 million rubles to pay off wage arrears. That is, half of the debt accumulated at the moment, equal to 2 million... Regarding the rest, he suggested waiting for the "regional money". The decision on the allocation of funds will be considered at the session of the Arkhangelsk Regional Assembly on June 23, and it is not yet clear whether the funds will be allocated and in what amount.
"Allocated 21 million rubles - the recipient got 13 ..."
During the meeting, a representative of the administration said that, according to him, for the period from 2016 to 2020, the enterprise was allocated 21 million rubles and 16 pieces of equipment. In fact, subsidies have been allocated only since 2018, and in total during this period, the enterprise received 13 million. And of the 16 pieces of equipment that were announced, only 3 were new, while the rest were either rubbish, whose place is in the metal reception, or machines that had practically exhausted their resource. The difference in the figures of the allocated aid, it was assumed at the enterprise, arose because the administration calculated the cost of the acquired new equipment, and then counted the same buses again as 3 units of new equipment.
There are no clear plans: "We lived for a year and it was good ..."
The workers' question about what will happen to the enterprise next remained unanswered. As the first deputy head of the district (it was he who was the representative of the administration) said, he has no clear plans. “We have lived well for a year, and so on,” he said.

Also, the question about the state of the production base remained unanswered. The garage building has been in disrepair for several years. The company does not have funds for repairs. Overhaul should be carried out at the expense of the administration, estimates were even made, but that was the end of it. There is only one answer: "there is no money."
"There is no money, hold on and earn yourself"
There is no money in the budget of the district and for passenger transportation, therefore, both the administration and the deputies, represented by their chairman, once again advised to look for additional sources of income in other activities. Great advice from "effective" owners: the contractor is offered to earn money himself in order to compensate for the losses, because the customer has no money.

Among other things, the director of the enterprise raised the issue of personnel. The driver's staff is either already retired or workers who have very little left to retire. The main reason for the staffing problem is the level of wages. To the director's remark that the salary could not be raised without financing the transportation, and young people would not be able to work on the existing salary, he received the answer: "You are looking badly." The representatives of the administration quite sincerely consider the wages of 20-30 thousand rubles to be quite sufficient (as you know, the Kargopol administration is not alone in this). And they are also not very concerned about the fact that in addition to the lack of drivers, the company has no mechanics and mechanics at all. They believe that these specialists are not needed for such a volume of traffic. As a result, compliance with all regulatory requirements for the carriage of passengers becomes simply impossible.

A new meeting is scheduled for June 24th. Then it will be clear whether the regional leadership will allocate funding and to what extent. The workers have a lot of questions, but the owner's answers are the same: "There is no money, hold on and earn yourself."

The governor of the Sverdlovsk region admitted the mistakes of optimization of healthcare
06/16/2021
And then what?

During his report to the Legislative Assembly of the Sverdlovsk Region, Governor Yevgeny Kuyvashev acknowledged shortcomings in the optimization of Sverdlovsk medicine. As a result of the optimization, there was an outflow of specialists. Because of this, many patients could not get help during the peak of the disease. At the same time, the governor said that due to optimization, the health care of the subject entered a modern technical base. The governor said that it is necessary to work on the mistakes, and the health development program should focus on the availability and quality of medical services.

Image

Optimization of healthcareAccording to the Office of the Federal State Statistics Service for the Sverdlovsk and Kurgan Regions, over 19 years, out of 228 hospitals, 75 were liquidated, and 280 out of 842 paramedic and accoucheur points were closed.

Although the authorities began to cautiously admit optimization errors, they do not say what the work on the errors will consist of. Obviously, if the pandemic has clearly shown the destructive role of optimization, then its fix should consist in eliminating them. This means that it is necessary to restore closed hospitals, increase the number of beds, and raise the number of doctors and nurses. All these indicators must be brought at least to the level of the previous optimization, and in the long term and surpass it. And the authorities should announce these specific measures, indicating the planned indicators and the timing of their achievement. But this is precisely what none of the officials, including the President, reports. All are limited to just words about "improvement and development" and the like.

It cannot be otherwise. The authorities are not going to cancel the optimization of healthcare, even admitting its shortcomings in words. The health pogrom was conceived to save money and commercialize the system, not to actually improve it. The pandemic revealed the disastrous consequences of the notorious reform for the working people. But no one plans to cancel it. That is why bureaucrats play around, admit shortcomings, promise improvements. Without concrete indicators, all such statements are idle chatter designed to confuse the working people.

A radical improvement in affairs is possible only if the workers themselves change the state of affairs in health care - for this it is necessary to fight for the strengthening of workers' organizations.

Russians again named Stalin the most outstanding person in history
06/21/2021
We tried, tried ...

For 13 years in a row, Russians have called Joseph Stalin the most outstanding person in history. This is evidenced by the results of a poll conducted by the Levada Center * in May. In addition to Stalin, the top three included Vladimir Lenin (30%) and Alexander Pushkin (23%).

Image
Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin

Peter I (19%) and Vladimir Putin (15%) entered the top five. For 27 years (the survey was conducted since 1994), Peter the Great lost 22% of support, which may indicate a tendency to change public opinion. Sympathy for the current president, who received 34% of the vote in 2017, has dropped by more than half this time.

The top ten includes Yuri Gagarin, Georgy Zhukov, Leonid Brezhnev, Albert Einstein, Dmitry Mendeleev. The growth of support was recorded in the last three participants of the "top". In this regard, experts are already putting forward hypotheses about the emerging demand of society for scientific development and stable growth of the state.

The liberal wing of the Russian public has rallied around Andrei Sakharov. Since 2017, his support has grown from 2% to 7%, and this is not strange: Sakharov in the collection is the only oppositionist whom many consider to be a staunch anti-Soviet and an ardent apologist of liberal values (although this is not entirely true ). It is around Academician Sakharov that citizens rallied who hold similar positions today.

This year, more than ever, the share of undecided who found it difficult to answer has increased - from 9% in 2017 to 19% today.

Image
Levada Center poll about the most outstanding people in history

It is clear to the authors of the study and friendly oppositionists of the liberal persuasion that the “new” Russia has not built new meanings that are important for society.

“Since 1989, no new significant symbolic figures have appeared in the list of at least 20 of the most important names,” sums up Lev Gudkov, scientific director of the Levada Center.

One way or another, the idols of generations are still the "mossy" communists - the leaders of the country, which had something to be considered great - Stalin, Lenin, Gagarin, Zhukov, Brezhnev. Neither Boris Yeltsin, nor Alexei Navalny, nor Ksenia Sobchak, nor Yuri Dud received the Audience Award.

* ANO "Levada-Center" is included in the register of non-profit organizations - foreign agents of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation.

GO JOE!!))))

I shudder to think what 'mah fellow Americans' would list in a similar poll: Trump, Obama, pop stars & professional athletes.

But what do Russians know about Stalin anyway? Bet they don't even have the History Channel....

The businessman, accused of non-payment of more than 396 million rubles of personal income tax, got off with a slight fright
07/05/2021

Business feels the strong shoulder of the state

The Pervomaisky District Court of Omsk found the former general director of the NGO Mostovik Oleg Shishov to be guilty of tax evasion on an especially large scale, the regional news agency Omsk Inform reported . The businessman did not pay 396,681,712 rubles to the budget . The prosecution asked for 5 years in a general regime colony, but the court punished the “deviationist” with two years probation and gave amnesty on the occasion of the anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Image

As a punishment, the businessman will have to not change his permanent place of residence for two whole years and appear at the registration marks.
Shishov did not pay taxes in just 10 months : from January 1 to October 31, 2014. Simple calculations can determine that the director of a research and production association during this period "earned" more than three billion rubles. Taking into account the possibility of reducing the tax rate, the personal income of the businessman can be much higher. The very source of such taxable amount was not subject to litigation. Everything is in accordance with the existing legislation.
This is not the first time that domestic business has felt the state's tender care for itself. No matter how large the embezzlement may be, "business people" are often punished for it only for the sake of formality, limited to suspended sentences. And the amnesty " on the occasion of the anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War " applies to these types of crimes, in contrast to the organization of protests. Suffice it to recall how differently the court "assessed" violations of the law by Sergei Udaltsov and a close friend of the former Minister of Defense. Or what did the broken window in the United Russia office cost to the left-wing activist Azat Miftakhov ?

Nothing else should be expected from people in black robes who are always ready to lend a strong shoulder to their rich "overlords" who have been caught stealing. Everything is simple here: in whose hands the power is, he "rules the ball."

To strengthen the position of the elites in Russia, discovered "new oil"
07/19/2021
The Russian economic model is being rebuilt
Analysts at Minchenko Consulting have released a new Politburo 2.0 report on the state of affairs in Russian politics. Experts have noted a number of trends that indicate that state elites are seeking to strengthen their position, which is still highly dependent on oil prices, and now also on cross-border carbon regulation. In this regard, the government has already taken a number of necessary measures, including the supervision of deputy prime ministers of the federal districts. ROT FRONT on how construction becomes new oil.
Image

The further, the greater the risks are borne by the system, built taking into account the super profits from the export of hydrocarbons: the crisis of relations in OPEC +, cross-border carbon regulation within the European Union, and surges in raw material prices lead to instability. Even the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline is basically capable of mitigating risks, but not eliminating them.

“Construction is new oil,” summarize the authors of the report.

The country's main builder, Marat Khusnullin, who currently holds the post of Deputy Prime Minister in the government of Mikhail Mishustin, in fact became the main responsible for the implementation of regional programs, including, for the most part, infrastructure projects. He will head the government commission on regional development and will be empowered to monitor the work of deputy prime ministers in the federal districts.

Back in March, the elites set a course for "Aggressive Infrastructure Development" - in accordance with this, a number of state strategies and plans were approved. In the construction industry, the pool of relevant documents is called the "Aggressive Construction Strategy"; according to it, by 2030 it is planned to commission 120 million sq. m of housing per year - and this is without infrastructure facilities. Many changes will be presented under the guise of massive renovation.
To ensure the tremendous pace, the Strategy envisages the abolition of many optional rules for developers. In turn, most of the mandatory rules and regulations will become optional. In this regard, there is a great risk of falling not only in costs, but also in the quality of construction.
Construction must be economical: the government intends to limit costs for business and the budget at the expense of cheap labor. Major government officials do not forget to remind about the importance of actively attracting guest workers; there are special programs for this. The process of entering the country for labor resources continues to be simplified.

An initiative to attract prisoners is subordinated to the goals of the fastest acceleration of the growth of infrastructure . A cheap labor force fully under the control of the employer is an extremely profitable resource for projects that require efficiency.

To build up the required square meters, you need working hands. A large-scale construction project needs both unassuming migrants and prisoners, as well as skilled and experienced workers who are able to participate in the broadest training of young specialists - pensioners.

Image
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation since 2020 Marat Khusnullin

“When I had to solve complex problems of metro design, we gathered designers from all over the Soviet Union, who were already retired,” said Marat Khusnullin.
Preparations for a large-scale all-Russian construction project are in full swing. This project is designed to solve several problems at once: to increase the incomes of the local business of agglomerations and large construction capital, bank income from mortgages, budget revenues from the second most profitable industry, the purchasing power of the population due to stable employment and the expected increase in wages due to a significant reduction in business costs.
Revitalization of the economy is one of the expected outcomes of the Strategy implementation. At the same time, it is absolutely clear that there will be no cardinal improvements in the life of an employee, and the debt load will increase - after all, someone has to pay for the Great Construction. The main question remains whether big capital will be able to dodge the explosion of a huge mortgage bubble, which arose on the basis of rapidly growing massive debts on loans.

And so another boom&bust cycle ensues. A jump started construction boom conducted by the unsophisticated robbers of the Soviet people, what could go wrong? The more canny thieves who own this country could not contradict the logic of capitalism which resulted in the crash of '08...
