Zyuganov’s references to the need to consult with citizens are not just ridiculous, but ridiculous and even cynical, because instead of opening people's eyes to the deception, Zyuganov and comrades are trying to hide behind the backs of the people, in fact, shift the responsibility for their cowardice and compromise onto citizens. It should be understood that for the Communists there is only one way - the development of their own struggle of the working class and all working people. In no case can you fall for all sorts of old and new, and subsequent fraudulent initiatives that will pour in like a cornucopia: about truly honest, about early elections, about extending the terms of the president, about the rise of the wise State Council, etc., and etc.

All these tactical decisions should be considered after the adoption of the main thing - we must fight, and not evade the struggle through abstinence.

Both the pension reform and other unpopular decisions of the authorities, which have worsened the position of the broad sections of the working population, have put management on the brink of a crisis of confidence. This circumstance required sufficiently operational solutions that could help stabilize the system. First of all, the Medvedev government was dismissed and the most odious people in the government were replaced. However, this did not and could not mean not only significant changes in the nature of the policy pursued, but also any noticeable course correction. The scenery has changed, the essence has remained the same.

2. Constitutional reform is part of a package of measures to strengthen the regime's pretty shaky authority. The goal of the so-called “popular vote”, which has no legal force, is quite clear - to show citizens that the government is interested in their opinion, that the president respects the opinion of people, that the government is ready to make minor concessions in providing a number of social guarantees (although in recent years took many times more). The main political meaning of the amendments is to preserve the existing regime, to strengthen the political "elite" that is in power today. There are no mechanisms that expand the influence of citizens on the policy implemented by the state.

3. At the official level it says - make any amendments. But only those that pass through the most severe filter of the presidential administration and other structures will be put to the vote. No one will put to the vote those issues that are dangerous for the current political regime: about changing the nature of power and property, about returning the retirement age to their former borders, about real protection of the labor interests of workers. Therefore, it is impossible to characterize the forthcoming changes in the constitution as an illusion of democracy. The purpose of this performance is to fuel the illusions of citizens and to consolidate the existing power, which has pretty much discredited itself with its politics.

4. The position of the party with respect to participation or non-participation in the “vote” on the issue of amendments to the constitution will be determined after the question finally becomes about the essence of the amendments and the legal status of the procedure. If our forecast is true, which is quite probable, we will campaign either for voting against the amendments or for boycotting the vote, because ROT FRONT categorically opposes the strengthening of the bourgeois dictatorship, which is fraught with the adoption of those constitutional amendments proposed by the authorities. Only an active socio-economic and political struggle of working people can really change the situation in the country.
