WHO: amulets and prayers will not protect against coronavirus
02/29/2020
Citizens may stop believing in the tricks of the Russian Orthodox Church
The World Health Organization (WHO) has called on humanity not to hope for prayers and amulets in their attempts to defend themselves against the coronavirus COVID-2019. On January 29, WHO spokesman Tarik Yazarevich said this in a conversation with RIA Novosti journalists.
“This is not supported by evidence,” he answered the question about the effectiveness of prayers and amulets against COVID-2019.
The first outbreak of coronavirus was recorded in China at the end of December, then the disease spread around the globe. Currently, the most acute situation is observed in Italy, South Korea and Iran.
For more than a month now, Russians have been fighting the coronavirus with amulets and prayers . So, on the announcement site there was a message about the sale of an amulet against the virus for 1.6 million rubles , which can heat up in case of danger.
Traders of charms against a coronavirus were also seen in Omsk and Tyumen.
The Russian Orthodox Church opposed such a method of combating COVID-2019 - this was stated in the Smolensk diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Coronavirus Ward
However, the Church supports targeted prayers for salvation from the deadly virus. At the end of January in Moscow, such an event took place in the Church of St. Nicholas in Golutvin, which also houses the courtyard of the Chinese Autonomous Orthodox Church.
Also, the Russian Orthodox Church does not support the desire of administrations of other states to protect their citizens from the coronavirus by closing Orthodox churches. The church urged not to obey the orders of local "godless" authorities.
“But how not to do the Eucharist? The plague stopped from the fact that people began to receive communion! “,” Said the head of the patriarchal commission for family affairs, Archpriest Dimitry Smirnov , describing the current situation as “the beginning of the end”.
A church leader invites Italian citizens to go on a riot for the sake of worship.
“Here it’s just being checked whether this community is ready to suffer for the sake of the Lord. Well, in something small. Well, there will be no executions! ”Concluded Smirnov.
It looks like we already know which organization made the most to spread the COVID-2019 epidemic.

The offensive of the Russian Orthodox Church in Snezhinsk
09/01/2015
The next offensive of the churchmen. Now in the science city
From the editors. The problems described by the author are not unique. For a long time in Moscow , St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and other cities, representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church have been acting more and more impudently, while receiving support from the authorities. This cooperation is beneficial to both of them - the authorities receive a very convenient tool for fooling the people and maintaining and planting religious values, and the clergy - more and more opportunities to make money.
But this can be fought. Only organized and joint actions can stop the offensive of the Russian Orthodox Church, because over time, the appetites of the priests become more and more immoderate. Residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg have already shown by their own example how to fight against clericalization, and have already achieved some success in protecting parks. The residents of Snezhinsk will also have to act.

“For all the will of God, professor!”
-Well done! "Excellent"
The offensive of the Russian Orthodox Church in Nizhny NovgorodRecently, quite often you can hear about the increasingly impudent policy of the Russian Orthodox Church, about clashes between citizens and an aggressive church audience, about protests against the construction of churches in parks and squares. But, unfortunately, not everywhere ecclesiastics meet a worthy rebuff on the path of pushing religion to the masses.
The city of Snezhinsk is one of the so-called cities of Rosatom, it houses one of the two nuclear centers of Russia - RFNC – VNIITF named after academician Zababakhin. The company employs scientists, engineers, highly skilled workers. The total number of enterprises is about seven thousand people. Pupils of schools regularly participate in regional and national olympiads, school graduates enter the leading universities of the country. In Snezhinsk there is also a branch of the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute - the Snezhinsk Institute of Physics and Technology (we will talk about it below).
The city is young (founded in the mid-50s) and until recently there were no churches on its territory. Believers used the church in a neighboring village, eight kilometers from the city, where a bus regularly runs.
That was until the recent past. But the Russian Orthodox Church, which has been actively penetrating all spheres of life for 20 years, did not ignore Snezhinsk. The first church was built in 2008 on the territory of the military unit located in the city. Further more. Church hierarchs begin to regularly come to the city, meet with representatives of local authorities. As it turned out from the statements of the hierarchs, closed cities are under the scrutiny of the Russian Orthodox Church. The result of this “attention” was the laying of the now stone church and the so-called spiritual and educational center.
The offensive of the Russian Orthodox Church in SnezhinskThroughout the city, they installed boxes for collecting funds, even installed them at the main enterprise of the city - the very VNIITF . But, apparently, the people are not so religious and not so much in need of a church, as everywhere they shout about it, because of the required for the construction of 100 million rubles only 17 million were managed to be raised, and even 10 million of them were contributed by Rosatom! However, construction has begun and is going fast enough.
But this did not seem enough. Therefore, to the existing wooden church and the stone under construction, a church called “house temple” was added, equipped in one of the premises of the Institute of Physics and Technology. This miracle in the flesh was organized by the rector of MEPhI Strikhanov, who, moreover, was present at the opening of this temple.
This is that Strikhanov, through whose efforts a monument to a student in front of the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute building was demolished . This is the same Strikhanov who introduced the course of theology in the same head MEPhI. Now I took up the branches of the institute.
Local authorities actively support the policies pursued by the Russian Orthodox Church. Each visit to the city by the high church authorities ends with a meeting with the city leadership. For the sake of acquaintance with the new rector of the parish, an unscheduled meeting is organized in the administration.
Residents react to this differently, but generally passively. On the one hand, there is no active protest, because their interests are not directly violated, parks are not cut down (although a pine grove was cut down for the construction of the church) and playgrounds are not demolished for the sake of this. But there is also no general enthusiasm, as can be seen from the sluggish campaign to collect donations for the construction of the church.
Over time, the situation, of course, will change, because the unbridled appetites of the Russian Orthodox Church will inevitably begin to clash with the interests of ordinary citizens, as we see in Moscow and other cities of the country.
Thus, we see how the ROC over the past 15 years has managed to increase its presence from scratch in a city whose history is inextricably linked with the history and development of science and technology, with the creation of advanced weapons for the Soviet Army.
