Uprising on the construction of the Amur Gas Processing Plant: background, course of events, conclusions
07/14/2020
Social explosion occurred

On July 13 , a spontaneous uprising of workers began at the construction of the Amur Gas Processing Plant owned by Gazprom . Information about the reasons is contradictory, but in any case is related to the amount of wages. The rebels took control of the construction site and defeated the contractor's office. Information about the taking of the hostages was not confirmed. On the evening of July 13, clashes with security forces occurred . At the time of July 14, 14:00 (local time), the workers were still in control of the territory, the area of their work was completely de-energized, and the work was stopped. According to unverified information, the opposing side - "Rosguard" - is preparing for the assault on the object.

Image

General information
The customer for the construction is Gazprom, and the general contractor is NIPIGAZ . In reality, NIPIGAZ is only involved in the management and supervision of construction, and competing subcontractors - Renaissance Heavy Industries (Turkey), Velesstroy ( controlled by Croatia) and others - have been hired for the direct construction . The total number of workers involved in the construction is estimated at 20-25 thousand people . The national composition is variegated: Velesstroy has the majority of Russians, Serbs and Croats, the Turkish company - Uzbeks, Tajiks, Turks, a small number of Russians.

The uprising was raised by the workers of the Turkish subcontractor Renaissance Heavy Industries. According to reports from the scene, these are mostly Uzbek migrant workers. Information on the causes of the conflict is controversial. One version says that for half a year workers were paid 4 times less than what was announced when they were hired. Such numbers as 6000 rubles a month were called. Apparently, the employer allowed fraud with timesheets, which is generally a typical crime in Russian construction sites.

According to other information, the Turkish subcontractor, feeling the need to pay taxes related to the labor activity of a foreign company in the territory of the Russian Federation, decided to shift the financial burden on workers, from which 30% was unilaterally calculated . (According to recent reports, this version is most likely. - Ed. )

Whatever version is reliable (or both), it is clear that in one way or another the rights of workers to a fair payment for their labor were violated.

In addition, it should be said about the living conditions of workers living in the town of Renaissance Heavy Industries. 6-8 people live in small rooms . Most rooms have no desks. Security takes the chairs, so there’s nothing to sit on. The beds are bunk. Bedding change a big problem. There is no air conditioning, no TV. The food is bad. On the construction site there is a gym, 2-3 cafes, a pharmacy, a communication salon, a self-service store Avoska and several other small shops. In the evenings, all workers, as a rule, hustle in the street, between dormitories, or sit in smoking rooms. No cultural activities are organized. Cases of drunkenness are frequent. The treatment by the guards and the administration is derogatory, if not derogatory.

Brief Chronicle of Events
On July 13, several hundred workers of the Renaissance Heavy Industries subcontractor, mainly Uzbeks, spontaneously took to the streets and began to throw cobblestones around the buildings, cars, and other objects. After some time, they broke into the office of their employer and began a pogrom. According to eyewitnesses, the administration hastily escaped from the construction site. Most of the guards also fled. Engineering was evacuated from the territory. About 250 women were evacuated to another town. Information about the "hostage-taking" among the engineers was not confirmed.

One of the eyewitnesses reports that late in the evening of July 13, the Rosgvardia units arrived in time and tried to regain control over the construction site. There were sounds like automatic bursts. However, the attempt failed.

At night, the territory was still controlled by rebel workers. One of the workers of Velesstroy said that at night the Uzbek workers walked in groups around the rooms and looked for someone. “They asked who is here. If the Russians, then everything’s ok, ” he said. Perhaps the workers were looking for someone who was connected with their employer.

In the morning, Velesstroy began to take its workers away from the scene. Around the same time, a Niva car with the inscription “Road Safety” tried to get out through the checkpoint . The workers did not release her and wanted to turn her over. As a result, the car returned to the parking lot in the town.

Simultaneously with these events, a bus and a KamAZ car with the symbols of the Rosguard arrived from the outside. They stopped about 100 meters from the checkpoint, no one got out of there. No further information was received from the town, however, at 14:00 local time (8:00 Moscow time), the workers completely controlled the territory of the town. The Renaissance Heavy Industries site was completely de-energized; no work was done. Communication with the protesters was interrupted, but unverified information was received that Rosgvardia was preparing to storm the construction site.

At 09:30, the builder’s press service announced that "financial differences have been resolved . " At the same time, leading federal media began to disseminate information as if “they had agreed with the rebellious builders,” and allegedly no evidence of a delay in wages was revealed. However, the prosecutor's office of the Amur region found wage arrears in the amount of 14 million rubles .

Some conclusions
The construction of the Amur Gas Processing Plant is a very characteristic ugly phenomenon for capitalist Russia. The plant being built by Gazprom is not intended to serve the country's needs, but the needs of China and the United States . Instead of hiring Russians (who would have to pay a decent salary), Russian capitalists used the services of foreign contractors, and they, in turn, recruited foreign workers who were forced to work for a penny and in bestial conditions. It is not surprising that a social explosion occurred. Another thing is significant: the power fist of the Russian state does not threaten those who steal and bring the workers to an act of despair, but the workers themselves, who require honestly earned money.

This once again confirms a simple and clear idea: there is no and cannot be any "consent and reconciliation" between the robbed and the robbers. There is no and cannot be any “social world”. The Russian Federation is a class state. Like the vast majority of other countries on the planet, it stands guard over the interests of big capital, it protects the unfair order of robbery and exploitation.

Some arrogantly and contemptuously condemn the outburst of anger of the workers, blame them for the pogrom in the office, overturned cars and other inconvenience. But anyone who is honest with himself and others understands that it is impossible to demand courtesy and courtesy from people driven to despair, humiliated, locked in barracks in the most unsightly conditions, deprived of access to culture and education, every day offended by the attitude of “gentlemen ". The spontaneous nature of the workers' struggle is not their fault, but their misfortune and our defect.

We are wholly on the side of those working people who are fighting for their fundamental, class interests.

PITS - Sergey Furgal?
07/15/2020
About the process around the governor of the Khabarovsk Territory
On July 9, 2020, the governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Sergey Furgal was detained and sent to Moscow. The Basmanny court determined for him a preventive measure in the form of arrest, having determined the location of the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center. Furgal was charged with involvement in the organization of contract killings in 2004-2005. On July 11, tens of thousands of Khabarovsk residents (according to various estimates of 5-7 - 30 thousand people) went to unauthorized rallies, which were joined by residents of other cities, towns, and even large villages. Protests continued on July 12, 13 and 14.
Image

The slogans of the protest rallies are “Ya Sergey Furgal!”, “Freedom to Sergey Furgal!”, “Bring back our governor!”. Many protesters assess Furgal’s arrest as revenge on the federal center and United Russia for his election as governor in 2018 and pursuing a policy in the interests of the region’s residents. However, the situation is much more complicated.

The arrest of the governor is, of course, a political step taken by law enforcement agencies with the sanction of the presidential administration. And the charge of organizing contract killings is a reason to eliminate Furgal from the post of governor. Is he involved in them or not? This should be decided by the investigation, based on facts, and not just the testimonies of individuals. The regional and federal press repeatedly wrote about the connections of Furgal with the criminal world in the 2000-2010s. Anyone familiar with the history of the restoration of capitalism in the 1990s is well aware of the role that criminal structures played in this. When Sergei Furgal was a deputy of the State Duma, his assistant was the leader of a large gangster group, Mikhail Timofeev . On the account of his gang - extortion, murder, explosions, racketeering, kidnapping, "protection" of the business.

According to the investigation, all major and high-profile crimes in Khabarovsk are associated with this particular bandit group, which included up to 300 “fighters”. In 2013, Timofeev received 8 years in a maximum security colony; many criminal cases with his participation are still being investigated .
But another thing is interesting. It is hard to imagine that the power structures “overlooked” the big politician, who was a deputy of the Khabarovsk Territory Duma, was elected as a deputy of the State Duma for the whole 3 convocations, headed a profile health committee there, repeatedly participated in the election of the governor of the Khabarovsk Territory ... Most likely, many dubious episodes of a prominent biography they were familiar with the LDPR activist, as well as similar episodes of thousands of other politicians from other parties (primarily United Russia), who make up the current political elite and shape the face of the current political system. It’s another matter that “from above” an order was issued to use compromising evidence, which happened. But why did this happen? There are several opinions, consider them.
Opinion 1: “Sergey Furgal is an implacable oppositionist and the United Russia leadership from the capital decided to get rid of him.”

Image

Accused of crimes Sergey Furgal to the right of the head of the Liberal Democratic Party, Vladimir Zhirinovsky
The arrested governor has never been an implacable opposition - neither before being elected governor, nor after. The very nature of the LDPR party, with which Furgal’s entire political biography is associated, precludes any serious opposition to Furgal. Throughout his tenure as a deputy of the State Duma, Furgal and the entire faction provided the main function - at the right time to shoulder the president and United Russia in exchange for funding from the state budget, the possibility of lobbying the interests of individual business strata, and the right to periodically criticize quite loudly “United Russia” in order to earn political points from voters and create the appearance of democracy in Russia. Let's look at the facts.
For all 5 years of being in the State Duma of the VI convocation (2011-2016), Sergei Furgal did not vote for 48.1% of the bills under consideration. Approval of the deputy received 51% of bills under consideration. “Against” Furgal voted only in relation to 0.9% of the laws discussed by the State Duma. The numbers speak for themselves.

The election of Furgal as a State Duma deputy in 2016 was made possible thanks to United Russia, which, by agreement with the Liberal Democratic Party, did not nominate a candidate in the 70 (Komsomolsky) single-member constituency, and United Russia party P. Simigin and G. Maltsev were offered high positions in exchange for refusal to participate in the election. The day after the State Duma elections, the LDPR thanked the regional election commission for the good work, and the regional governor United Russia, V. Shport, noted that United Russia and the LDPR are ready to join forces and consolidate.

Being the Deputy Chairman and Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Healthcare in 2015-2018, Furgal bears part of the responsibility for “optimizing” (and actually continuing the collapse) of Russian medicine and transferring it to commercial tracks. Together with the entire faction, Furgal repeatedly voted for the approval of Dmitry Medvedev as chairman of the government. Furgal’s activity in the State Duma was marked by an honorary diploma of the Chairman of the State Duma Boris Gryzlov (2008, “for a significant contribution to the development of legislation and parliamentarism in the Russian Federation”) and gratitude of the Government of the Russian Federation (2017, “for merits in lawmaking and many years of hard work ").

After being elected governor, Sergei Furgal suspended his membership in the Liberal Democratic Party, pursued the policy of the federal center in the region and did not question its priorities. There are no known cases when he publicly criticized the president, the government of the Russian Federation, doubted the effectiveness of the federal center’s policy regarding the Far East, and opposed himself to Moscow. The governor actively called for voting for constitutional amendments, unconditionally supporting the Moscow line. But ... 44% came to the vote, “for” - 62.2%, “against” - 34.64%. One of the lowest results in the country . The protest potential of the region did not coincide with the position of the governor.

Thus, we have no reason to suspect Furgal of implacable opposition. Sergey Furgal is a systemic politician who made a career in one of the bourgeois parties and entered the executive branch on the wave of a protest vote in 2018.

Opinion 2: “Moscow takes revenge on the arrest of Sergei Furgal for the Khabarovsk Territory for the willfulness of the residents of the region who elected him in 2018, and not the current governor of Sport.”

Image
Rallies in Khabarovsk in support of Sergei Furgal
Indeed, after Furgal was elected governor, the capital of the Far East was moved to Vladivostok, where after the scandal with the abolition of the election results, the federal governor still managed to push through his protege Oleg Kozhemyako. However, what is the role of Furgal?
The election of the governor of the Khabarovsk Territory in 2018 did not portend anything extraordinary and promised to proceed according to the following scenario: the election commission registers the current governor of Sport and several technical candidates to create the appearance of an election race, and then Sport, which has significantly lost its political weight, becomes 51-55% the governor at a low turnout due to the driving of state employees and security officials to polling stations. One of the candidates called to create the illusion of democracy was Sergey Furgal, who participated in the election of the governor in 2013 and then gained 19.1% of the vote. However, the situation did not go according to the scenario of the Kremlin technologists: Shport not only did not get more than 50 percent of the votes in the first round, but also tooksecond place (35.62%) after Sergei Furgal (35.81%). And in the second round, 69.57% of voters cast their votes for Furgal . Why is this possible? There are several factors:

1. The complete discredit of the so-called “Sport team” and “United Russia” for the following reasons:

multi-billion debts to private banks, the servicing of which took up a fair amount of the regional budget;
the collapse of the manufacturing sector, the bankruptcy of regional industrial and agricultural enterprises, the deterioration of transport accessibility, and price increases.
corruption scandals and arrests of regional ministers for misconduct;
the abolition of regional travel privileges for pensioners, disabled people and children from large families in 2016, which caused massive protests in Khabarovsk;
inflating the bureaucratic apparatus, creating new regional ministries with an extensive staff and growing costs for its maintenance (the Ministry for the Far Eastern Hectare, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and others);
growing budget expenditures for the maintenance of senior officials (salaries, bonuses after retirement, gigantic pensions and other preferences), including luxury goods: expensive premium foreign cars, expensive interiors of office rooms, maintenance of a yacht for the rest of regional managers;
the unbridled public relations of Governor Shport in all regional mass media, which began to cause the opposite effect;
a decline in the quality of life and, as a consequence, an outflow of the population from the region.

2. The policy of the federal center and the United Russia party determining its content, to which Shport and his “team” belonged.

The dissatisfaction of the region’s residents with the regional authorities was reinforced by the fact that in 2018 the pension reform was extended at the federal level, which increased the retirement age. The increase in VAT rates, the increase in excise taxes on fuel led to higher prices. The reaction of the residents of the region to the realities of the regional policy, aggravated by the federal agenda, created a protest background for the vote. "Anyone, if only not for Shport and not" United Russia ". But if not Short, then who?

3. Of all the governor candidates, with the exception of the current Governor of Sport, Furgal was the strongest rival. He had a fairly high start-up fame, experience in participating in previous gubernatorial elections, a solid electoral budget (Sports budget amounted to about 31 million rubles, Furgal had 10 million, everyone else had less than half a million each), he had a rather populist and simple program, he positioned himself ready for dialogue with all citizens and political forces. In the public mind, an image of a competent and successful politician was created, who is ready to use the experience of parliamentary activity and his weight in federal structures for the benefit of the inhabitants of the region, having solved key problems for the region. That is why many protest-minded voters voted for Furgal, regardless of his party affiliation: “If only not Shport, but this one would definitely not be worse, or even better!”

For Furgal himself, success in the first round was a surprise, moreover, the very presence of the second round automatically made him the winner: an increase in turnout, a vote of protest-minded citizens for rival Sport. In the two weeks that passed between the first and second rounds, Furgal was subjected to pressure attempts to voluntarily refuse to participate in the election race and at some point he even wrote down an appeal in which he said about the possibility of working in the same team with Sport if he won, but ... Refusing the second round meant losing face and political death. Moreover, the victory in the first round was inspired by the business community of the region, not focused on the capital and hoping for a more successful defense of their interests by Furgal, whose family has large property in the region. This, as well as support for the leadership of the Liberal Democratic Party,

The election of Furgal as governor is not so much the merit of Furgal himself, as the response of the population of the region to the policy of "United Russia" and dissatisfaction with the "Sport team". But the governor’s post has been won, the elections have been won, it’s time to get to work ... What's next?

Opinion 3. “Sergey Furgal - People’s Governor! He defended the interests of ordinary residents of the region and for this he was arrested. "

Image
By its place in the system of public relations, Sergey Furgal is far from an ordinary person, but a representative of the political and business elite, a capitalist quite large by regional standards, the owner (through his family members) of a number of enterprises. In 2011, after the first term in the State Duma, Sergey Furgal owned 50% of Alkuma LLC, 50% of Khabarovskmetalltorg LLC, 50% of Mif-DV LLC, 50% of Dalpromsnab LLC. What did these firms do? Trade in timber, metal, natural resources of the Far East. In January 2017, the Torex-Khabarovsk Furgal family company acquired control of the Amurmetall plant.
Here is information about the income and property of one Furgal, not counting the members of his family, in 2015, even during his deputy, taken from official sources :

Image
Information on the income and property of Sergey Furgal, not counting members of his family, in 2015

Therefore, the interests of Sergey Furgal are, first of all, the interests of his business and, more broadly, the regional business, which in his person received a defender of his interests. On top of that, the balance of power within the regional political elite, which is closely connected with the business community of the Far East and the capital, has changed. The situation was aggravated by the 2019 elections, when United Russia lost the majority in the regional parliament and the majority of deputies were members of the LDPR, who went to the polls as the “Furgal team”. In other words, the capital’s business and political circles began to fear for weakening control over financial flows, redistribution of income, and the loss of the usual mechanisms for managing the territory through completely “their” structures.
The election of Furgal as the governor and the subsequent events became a factor that did not fit into the usual pattern of relations - the mosaic developed in such a way that elements from another mosaic appeared in it and the overall picture did not take on the form that was expected.
A significant reason also seems to be the spread of the interests of the Rothenberg oligarchic family in the Far East, including to the Amurstal owned by Furgal. Opposition to this caused dissatisfaction of the oligarchy and, quite possibly, influenced the arrest of Furgal, since the proximity of Arkady Rotenberg to President Putin is well known. Thus, the main reason for the arrest of Furgal seems to be a conflict in business circles, which was resolved in a political way. The actual political reasons for the arrest are undeniable, but they are closely intertwined with the conflict between different factions of the ruling class.

What is the difference between the policy of Furgal in comparison with his predecessor? Externally and in particular, it is very different. Furgal, elected in the wake of the protest vote, for all two years of his tenure as governor showed himself to be quite open and attractive to residents of Khabarovsky. Live broadcasts, consistent coverage of his work through a popular (more than 200,000 subscribers) instagram page, public “flogging” of delinquent officials, filmed on videos and appearing on the network ... Furgal reduced the cost of maintaining the regional government by eliminating the ministries created by Sport, set the task sales of luxury goods listed on the balance sheet of the regional government, lowered his salary. In other words, he abolished the obvious, causing general dissatisfaction with the innovations of his predecessor, United Russia. Progress in solving problems with defrauded equity holders and a decrease in the cost of air tickets for residents of the northern regions can also be credited to the governor along with other private changes. But does this mean that his governor is popular and he keeps officials in check? I will give one example.
At a meeting of Sergey Furgal with the leaders of political parties at the end of 2019, he was asked about when the promised reduction in salaries of top regional officials would be actually fulfilled, to which the following answer was received (everything is written down verbatim in the protocol, which is stored in the governor’s office, I convey the general meaning):
“Of course, I can reduce the salaries of ministers to 40-50 thousand, but then they will quit the government, and we will lose qualified specialists. Who will come in their place? People with less responsibility, less qualifications.

In 1917, there were already calls to transfer power to the cooks, and we all remember how it ended. I believe that if not everything, then almost everything depends on managers, and we can’t reduce salaries. ”

When the time came for the author of these lines, the following was said:

“In 1917, not a single political party in Russia set out to transfer power to the cooks. If you had in mind the Bolsheviks, then the main political slogan of the Bolsheviks was the slogan "All power to the Soviets!" and the Bolsheviks demanded that the official’s salary be determined by the level of wages of a skilled worker.

As for the quote by V.I. Lenin about cooks, it will not be useless for you to familiarize yourself with it in its original form, since Lenin opposed turning bureaucracy into a separate closed caste and talked about creating conditions for introducing the broad masses of working people to the task of running the state.

You said that the region needs qualified managers. But does he not need skilled workers, teachers, doctors, engineers, and many others?

Why should they work for 15-20 thousand rubles a month, and the average salary in the region is unacceptable for an official? These are double standards! ”

Image
Rallies in Khabarovsk in support of Sergei Furgal
And yet, what has changed in essence since 2018? A broad political coalition involving various political forces in the region has not lined up - in the regional government we see only United Russia (members of the Sport team) and people from the LDPR. The elections to the regional parliament in 2019 were record-breaking in terms of the number of refusals to register candidates of various political parties, to which the governor's attention was drawn, but no last steps were taken. As of September 1, 2018, the state debt of the Khabarovsk Territory amounted to 51.6 billion rubles. Municipalities in the region received loans worth 3.7 billion rubles.
As of June 1, 2020, the state debt of the Khabarovsk Territory increased and amounted to 57.9 billion rubles. Municipalities over the years of Furgal's governorship also increased their loan portfolio - up to 3.97 billion rubles. Meanwhile, a decrease in the debt load on the territory is one of Furgal’s main campaign promises. In them, there was a decrease in housing and communal services tariffs, however, over these 2 years, tariffs in the region only increased. Another campaign promise is the creation of comfortable living conditions, which would reduce the outflow of the population. But let's look at the data of the regional statistics department, which are given on January 1 of each year:

Image
The data of the regional department of statistics on population decline
The decline in the population, despite the powerful migration flow from the republics of Central Asia, continues quite noticeably. Regional industry and agriculture did not receive any serious impulses for development. Education, health workers, workers and engineers, in other words, the working classes did not feel more protected. Their incomes did not increase, and the disempowerment in the face of the employer remained the same as with Sport. In other words, no tangible changes have occurred; the nature of power has remained the same. However, it could hardly have been otherwise - the governor is rather rigidly inscribed in the implementation of federal state policy, and if his deviations from it exist, then in insignificant details, which does not change its focus and goals. Therefore, the thesis that

The protests that took place after the arrest of Sergei Furgal show the readiness of the residents of the Khabarovsk Territory for joint actions and this cannot but rejoice. People took to the streets, no matter what, and showed their will. Chanting “Freedom to Sergey Furgal” and “We are for Furgal!” even if they idealized the image of the governor, they protested against the policy of the federal center in relation to the Far East, defended their right to elect not “United Russia” and not look like white crows, they opposed amendments to the constitution, against impoverishment and worsening living standards, against official lies about general welfare. At the rallies, along with political ones, socio-economic demands were heard.

However, prior to the formulation of clear requirements of a socio-economic and political nature, spontaneous protest did not rise and could hardly rise. And until this happens, until the struggle moves from the channel “Return to us the official chosen by us, even if not ideal and charged with committing criminal offenses,” to the channel “We demand the observance and expansion of our political and economic rights,” the situation will be repeated.
When it is not the arrest of the governor, but bureaucratic arbitrariness against ordinary people, the dismissal of workers from the enterprise or protest against exploitation in the workplace that will cause the same mass protests, then there will be hope for a change in the situation. Not a change of individuals, but a change of the entire existing system, a change in existing relations of property and power, a real transfer of power to the working people, and not to various representatives of various elite groups - this is the way out of the impasse that our country has reached. And, as the 2018 elections show, hopes for the electoral process in this regard are increasingly turning into illusions.

The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal of ROT FRONT
07/16/2020

The fight will continue under any circumstances.

On July 16, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation examined the appeal of the ROT FRONT party to the earlier decision to liquidate the party. The panel of judges upheld the decision of the first instance. Thus, the decision to liquidate the political party entered into force. The party itself calls this result expected and assures that they do not intend to "diverge" .

Image

The question of the liquidation of the ROT FRONT as a political party was raised by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation . The essence of the claims of officials was that the party allegedly did not meet the requirements of the law on participation in the elections. According to article 37 of the Federal Law “On Political Parties”, a party is obliged to nominate and register a candidate for the presidency of the Russian Federation within 7 years, either by an electoral list in the State Duma, or register candidates for the position of head in at least 10% of the subjects of the federation, or register candidates for local self-government in more than half of the subjects of the federation.

ROT FRONT actively participated in the “official” political life of the country - nominated a working candidate in the presidential election in 2018, participated in many regional and local elections. However, the key concept is registration of the candidate, i.e. recognition by the authorities of the fact of nomination. With this, everything was monotonously simple. State authorities did everything possible to fail the working candidate, Natalya Lisitsyna , and launched a real war in 2019 - almost everywhere, under a variety of pretexts, refused to register candidates from ROT FRONT, and in some places even removed them in court, moreover, with the hands of their puppets. For example, in August 2019, in Tatarstan, a candidate from ROT FRONT tried"Fill up" in court a candidate from the Communist Party . How shamelessly the courts violated their own laws can be seen from the episode in Mordovia , where the judges in an informal setting spoke about the “instructions” given to them above.

Having carefully cleaned the electoral clearing from the candidates of ROT FRONT, the Ministry of Justice then hypocritically accused the party of “not participating” in the elections. At the same time, officials of the Ministry of Justice counted within the mentioned 7-year period and those six months during which the party could not participate in the elections and was not allowed to participate in the elections by the Ministry of Justice itself. Thus, the 7 years recorded in federal law for ROT FRONT turned into 6.5 years. In February 2020, a lawsuit was initiated , which ended quite predictably.

Victor Tyulkin, head of ROT FRONT

Commenting on the decision on the appeal of ROT FRONT, the 1st Secretary of the Central Committee of the ROT FRONT Party, Viktor Tyulkin, said:

“Rights and freedoms in our country are limited in terms in different ways. Who needs these terms to be reset to zero, but to us - quite the opposite ... The Workers Front does not dissolve, we continue to fight in the new conditions. We will discuss tactics at the upcoming Plenum of the Central Committee. ”

Furgal: there is such a version
07/23/2020
How Cupid Was Sawed

From the Editor: The case with the Khabarovsk governor is remarkable in that it provides a lot of food for thought for a variety of people on a variety of issues. Here is the state of our society, which emerged from the dashing 90s, and, accordingly, the formation of government bodies, and the work of the mechanisms of democracy, and taking into account the opinion of the people in a particular situation, and the absolute lack of principle of parliamentary parties, etc. Today we bring to the attention of our readers the private opinion of one of our correspondents, which, without pretending to be the ultimate truth, but relies on completely materialistic facts and the well-known connections of individuals and their business interests.

Image
Sergey Furgal

We began to deal with the situation of Furgal's arrest. All official versions disappear at once. What they shout about Furgal's high popular rating (like his Kremlin got scared) and his low voting results for the amendments. This is nonsense, of course, complete.

Everything in this world and in our country happens because of money. And in the Khabarovsk Territory, all because of (in our case) the AmurStal plant. It has not done without financial interests, and with such a scale, not only governors are being shut down.

So:

The AmurStal plant supplies metal to the entire Far East.
In 2017, the Amurstal plant went to three partners: Pavel Balsky (50%), Nikolai Mistryukov (25%) and Larisa Starodubova (25%) (also the wife of Sergei Furgal).
Balsky (Muscovite) has already almost sold his stake for 2.7 billion in 2019, but he slowed down. Why?
Because the theme of the bridge to Sakhalin has surfaced. And this is a huge construction site, a lot of metal. And the AmurStal plant is the only plant in the Far East that can "pull" this construction without unnecessary logistics. This is a space money perspective.
Therefore, in November 2019, Moscow security forces descended on AmurStal. By chance. All of a sudden. Simultaneously with the searches on AmurStal, one of the founders, Nikolai Mistryukov, is arrested (some coincidence) with suspicion of involvement in long-standing murders. The same murders that are now trying to sew Furgala.

While Mistryukov was being crushed by the "organs" in the Moscow pre-trial detention center, Moscow founder Balsky suddenly bought out his share in AmurStal. Although, he was just going to sell his. It happens. While the partner is in jail, it is possible to take away his share at a low cost.

Now the founder of Balsky already owns 75% of AmurStal shares. And another 25% is still with Larisa Starodubova, wife ... Furgal ... What was Balsky to do? Furgal is not a gingerbread - he is the governor, under him the whole region. Maybe we should drain it? We think Balsky's interest here is obvious. If Furgal is planted, the share of the plant itself will be cheaper, and the purchase will be easier. And suddenly, the Moscow security forces arrive and knit Sergei Furgal, the governor of the Khabarovsk Territory. Coincidence again?

On July 9, 2020, Furgal is arrested. On July 9 (the same day), Furgal's wife receives a lawsuit demanding to declare bankrupt the company to which her 25% stake in AmurStal is registered. Now what will Balsky do? Quite by chance, buy Furgal's share for a penny? Well, why not?

Ask: who is Balsky? Just the president of the national union of judo veterans (ha-ha), among the founders of which there are the Rotenbergs. The very ones who built the bridge to Crimea, the very ones who will build the bridge to Sakhalin. Consider how wonderful things are going.

So relax, gentlemen theorists. Only because of the dough, in this case, quite a specific dough of AmurStal and the prospects of building a bridge to Sakhalin, the governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Sergei Furgal, was removed (his sins in the past are clearly a secondary issue).

If his wife did not have a 25% stake in AmurStal, then Seryoga would still be sitting in a chair. So Balsky and the Rottenbergs removed Furgala because of the dough. All.

Only no one thought that people would take to the streets. Stupidly they did not take into account this moment, while the factory was being squeezed out ... And now Balsky and Rotenbergs are getting a scolding for having overlooked the “people”, that is, they did not prepare the ground for a quiet and understandable removal of Furgal. Once again, Zhirinovsky and his cadres had to call for help to calm the people down and portray the continuity of democratic power. That's the whole truth ...

Trade Union of the Central Bank: "People are treated just like a pig"
07/30/2020
Interview with Evgeny Vaisberg, Deputy Chairman of the trade union primary organization of the Bank of Russia

In February, we introduced our readers to the activities of the independent trade union established at the Bank of Russia . The deputy chairman of the trade union primary organization Yevgeny Vaisberg spoke about the order that prevails in the main financial institution of the country in several videos . Since then, a pandemic has swept across the country. The economic crisis has worsened, unemployment has increased , and employers everywhere have increased their onslaught on the rights of their workers. How did the employees of the Central Bank feel all this? We are talking about this again with Evgeny Weisberg.

Image
Central Bank building

- Much has changed since our previous conversation ... How has the “self-isolation” regime influenced the work of your union?

- In general, the same as for all other enterprises. We had planned public events for the period from March to May, but for obvious reasons they had to be postponed. Nevertheless, everything is ready in order to conduct them.

As for the direct work of the union, things have become more complicated. After all, all departments are closed. We should have brought an official to justice back in April, and only in May we were able to do this, since the labor inspection did not work either. We also had court sessions, where we, being employees, were interested parties in the process. Let me remind you that the Bank of Russia is challenging the order of the labor inspectorate under the inspection act. Due to "self-isolation", the trial was postponed three times. It took place only on June 16; The Bank of Russia failed to challenge the order.

Of course, this regime has greatly slowed down the work of the entire country, we are no different here.

- Did you have a "remote"?

- Yes, most of the employees were transferred to remote work under an additional agreement with the employer. "Remote" has already been extended to us several times, the last time - until the end of July. And so people are paid wages and bonuses. Those who are forced to go to work are provided with masks and gloves. I myself was summoned to work for two days, and I saw all this with my own eyes: there are not many people and everyone walks in masks and gloves. In this regard, the Bank of Russia is at its best.

- Has the number of reductions increased over this period?

- Not. There are no reductions now.

- Before the start of the “self-isolation” regime, courts were held to reinstate two employees. Tell us more about these cases.

- There were recovery courts after the layoff of two employees, Denis and Dmitry. They lost the first two instances. They then lodged a cassation appeal. Thanks to this, the decisions of the first two instances were canceled, and the cases were sent back to the Meshchansky court. And if this situation with the epidemic had not happened, they would have already worked. Sessions were already scheduled, but they were postponed, most likely due to the bank's request for some documents.

- Is this justified? Or is the bank just dragging out the lawsuits?

- The bank itself is tightening up in every possible way. It is unpleasant for him to lose, but what to do ... Now the guys have not yet come to work, but in any case, the cancellation of the decision of the first instance says a lot. The chances of winning in court and recovering from work have increased significantly. I don't just think so, because this is not the first case - there would be a desire among workers to fight for their rights.

- How is your membership base developing? Is the number of people in the trade union growing now?

- The influx of people from the Bank of Russia has now stalled due to the fact that everyone is sitting at a "remote location", away from the authorities. Their rights are not violated, people are joyful and happy at home. But at the same time, joining the trade union increased from the side of commercial banks, since they began to squeeze people out earlier than others.

Plus, apparently, due to cuts in various spheres of the economy, for example, workers from such sectors as jurisprudence began to contact us. Since we are members of the Novoprof trade unions, we send them there. In principle, it is not so important where you work - everyone has the same problems.

- How many people choose to fight? After all, the courts take a lot of energy and nerves. Isn't it easier to give up and find a new job?

- Is it easier to give up and wait for the manna from heaven to fall from heaven? Here everyone decides for himself. In my case, the fight with the bank moved from a personal fight to a fight for the sake of others, for the sake of colleagues, into a fight against lawlessness and violations. The Bank of Russia treats people just like swine, and I can't just look at it. Of course, many are afraid to contact the Bank, so my task is to prove to people that it is possible and necessary to fight. If earlier I went to the courts alone and proved my case, now there are more than 20 people consciously at the last meeting against the Bank. People come to understand that they need to fight ... Those who do not want to fight have long gone. And the rest will not be scared by anything.

CPRF, Statement by the Presidium of the CC CPRF

The Trump Administration is stepping up its policy of counteracting the development of socialist China. This takes place against the background of the deepening world crisis, the growth of the coronavirus pandemic and approaching Presidential elections in the USA. Measures aimed at undermining the PRC’s economic and political stability are multiplying at a feverish pace. “Soft power” instruments have proved to be signally ineffective in the struggle against Beijing. Yet Washington has not embarked on the path of wide-ranging dialogue and cooperation. On the contrary, it is becoming increasingly aggressive in its China policy.

For many years the American strategists have concentrated on attempts to undermine the territorial integrity and weaken China’s economy. The USA suffered a series of setbacks in trying to destabilize the situation in the Xingjiang-Uigur and Tibet Autonomous Regions and Ao Ming and Xiangang regions. Washington met with a fitting rebuff during the course of its provocations in Hong Kong. Attempts to undermine China’s power by introducing high custom duties contrary to WTO rules have failed. Discrimination against Huawei and other Chinse companies did not help.

At this stage an openly “hawkish” line towards the PRC has prevailed in Washington. Sabre-rattling is growing louder and bellicose statements have become more frequent. The Communist Party of China has been declared to be “one of the main threats” to the existence of the United States.

In its attempts to drag the world into a new Cold War and retain its hegemony the USA leadership is ready for new provocations and adventures. The US Secretary of State and former director of the CIA, Mike Pompeo, openly proclaimed Washington’s desire to drag Russia into a confrontation with China. He said this possibility flowed “naturally” from the relationship between Beijing and Moscow. These disingenuous hints should not be underestimated.

In its relations with China the United States follows the same logic as was used to destroy the Soviet Union. Like then, an enemy image is moulded of a country that has become “a mortal threat to the free world.” Pompeo’s speech at the Richard Nixon presidential library is a carbon copy of Churchill’s Fulton speech. Only now the US is calling for a crusade against the PRC.

The head of the US diplomacy declares that “unless the free world changes Communist China Communist China will change us. The free world must prevail over the new tyranny.” And Pompeo called for an “alliance of democratic states” and is beginning to pull Russia into it. He said that if Washington and Moscow together responded to major strategic challenges the world would become a safer place.

It is an extremely dangerous and destructive proposal. It aggravates international tensions and intensifies the arms race. At the same time it seeks to drive a wedge into the strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China.

The American initiative of building a global alliance against China stems from the fact that the USA cannot overcome China by itself. The rickety NATO structure does not suit that purpose. A number of European countries are actively cooperating with China economically and stand to lose from a confrontation with Beijing. Besides, the course for isolating China is simply impossible without Russia’s participation in this criminal alliance.

Of late the US administration has been increasingly revealing its true face disfigured by anti-Communism, Russophobia and anti-China anger. The White House is persistently bringing back its aggressive policy at its worst. The people of the world have no right to forget American imperialism’s adventures in Korea and Vietnam, Yugoslavia and Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya. Among the latest victims are the people of Ukraine which has been put at the mercy of the most reactionary forces, and the population of Donbass which is suffering from cruel slaughter and semi-starved existence.

The globalists’ growing fury is understandable. China, led by its Communist Party, is successfully building socialism. It is confidently overcoming the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic. Unlike most major countries, the Chinese economy has reported growth at the end of the year. The Chinese leadership is demonstrating to the whole world how abject poverty can be eliminated and high technology developed. Beijing has every chance to become the leader of the world economy, scientific and technical development and in the innovation sphere.

The model of international relations proposed by China is growing ever more attractive. It has no place for the vices of globalism with its horrifying inequality, sharpening confrontation and worldwide expansion of the new colonizers. The concept of the PRC Chairman Xi Jinping, Community of Shared Destiny for Mankind, articulates highly promising principles of equal cooperation among nations for the common good.

The CPRF welcomes the fact that Russia and China have confidently extended the hand of friendship and close cooperation to each other. Growing trade and large-scale joint projects, shared views on key world historic events, their common victory over German Fascism and Japanese militarism, similar views on events and phenomena in international politics – these are strong bonds between our countries.

The Communist Party of China spearheads its rapid advance. Loyal to the socialist cause, the CPC correctly assesses the challenges and threats, and comes up with convincing answers to them. The CPRF has always worked towards stronger relations between the two countries. Our links with the CPC are aimed at bringing the two peoples closer together, strengthening security and harmony in international relations. These common aspirations were sealed by the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between our parties in December of 2019.

The path of development of the world civilization proposed by the PRC poses a threat not to the peoples, but to the imperialists with their appetites of exploiters and predators. China’s enemies stop at nothing in their aggressive attacks on it. They are launching a slander campaign, waging trade wars, try to foment separatism and cause the PRC to quarrel with its neighbouring countries.

All the signs are that the US strategists seek to assign a special role to our country in these treacherous designs. They will try to provoke discord in the relations between Moscow and Beijing promising that Russia would gain from a change of its geopolitical orientation. The position of Yeltsin’s underlings in the top echelons of power, the economy and finance, politics and the mass media are still very strong. Their close links with the “Washington party committee” are evidenced by the massive capital drain, recurrent “offshore scandals” and the multi-billion overseas assets of Russian tightwads. For these people the officially proclaimed “pivot to the East” is but a temporary maneuver. They see their own and their offspring’s future in the “Western paradise.”

The CPRF comes out for a stronger strategic partnership between Russia and China. We are sure that Washington’s sugary promises are but a cover for its dangerous and perfidious plans. To bring about a quarrel between Moscow and Beijing means to defeat us one by one. Our countries are the main obstacles for the globalist elite which is striving to perpetuate its dominance. It will persist in its manic attempts to strangle Russia, with its military potential and vast resources which world capitalism would like to grab. It would gladly destroy China as a rival which is making a massive leap forward becoming the powerhouse of the world economy.

For Washington to put our countries on ”opposite sides of the ring” would mean to weaken both of them. It is a means for globalists to implement their ugliest plans. In the event of success, Central Asia may be set ablaze. The Middle East may turn into one large ”hot spot.” The Far East may become a zone of sharp conflicts… Capital would not stop at any crime to preserve its dominance and its profits.

Russia has its own national interests. The CPRF is sure that they will be served not by the here-and-now handouts from the West but by stronger strategic relations with those who seek peace and social progress. For us the relations of friendship and partnership with China make it possible together to develop the economy and technology, to strengthen peace and security, to uphold our sovereignty in the face of any threats.

We are convinced that the deepening of strategic interaction with Beijing holds out a promise. It is based on economic and political realities and has a solid historical foundation. The strengthening of our ties will take us to a new and unprecedented level of relations and guarantee sovereign development of our two states. We are all extremely interested in an effective struggle against anti-Communism and anti-Sovietism, Russohobia and anti-China hysteria.

Washington strategists are set to pull our country into the infamous “alliance of democracies.” To make it happen they are ready to promise anything: from the lifting of sanctions to granting preferences. We cannot rule out that the fact that Pompeo’s anti-China speech coincides with the telephone conversation between Putin and Trump is not fortuitous. We hope that President Putin is very mindful of the adventurous nature of these proposals.

The historical experience of the destruction of the Soviet Union shows that the promises from across the ocean should not be believed. It is inconceivable to put these ephemeral pledges on a par with the deepening cooperation between Russia and China, the other BRICS and SCO countries and the strengthening of Eurasian integration. For our country to yield to the blandishments of the US would be tantamount to betraying our own interests. Yet this is precisely the aim of “the fifth column.”It does not mind the mass expulsions of Russian diplomats, the seizure of Russian property in the US, the swelling lists of Russian officials and parliament deputies banned from traveling to the West or the hail of all sorts of sanctions.

Russia must not repeat former mistakes and has no right to be a bargaining chip in the geopolitical games of the USA. The Russian, Chinese and all the other peoples have the right to follow the path of sovereign development setting themselves long-term goals and confidently achieving them.

The future of the people is friendship and all-round cooperation!

Gennady Zyuganov,

Chairman of the CC CPRF, Head of the CPRF at the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation

http://solidnet.org/article/CPRF-Statem ... e-CC-CPRF/

CPRF while being a disgrace domestically does a pretty good job here. Though I'm sure the Chinese are aware that they can trust the current Russian government as far as they can throw them. Where a few whispered sweet nothings from Washington could sway the oligarchy to the West the imperialists will have none of that, demanding abject surrender, which those crooks would proly tolerate but for domestic political considerations.

About Solzhenitsyn's "Bomb"
08/01/2020
Reflections on traitors and nuclear bombs

From the editor. The recent painting of Solzhenitsyn's face has once again drawn public attention to this person. One of our readers became interested in the topic of Solzhenitsyn and decided to share his thoughts on one of those ideas that this character promoted.

A year and a half ago, the well-known blogger Ilya Varlamov published a note on his LiveJournal page in which he, in his usual manner (with jokes, jokes and interspersed profanity), decided to disassemble one of the myths concerning the famous writer and political figure Alexander Isaevich Solzhenitsyn.

Image

The occasion to remember the writer was his centenary. As usual, on this occasion, a lot of materials were published on federal channels and Internet resources, once again singing odes to Alexander Isaevich. But, which, of course, is terrible, blogger Varlamov suddenly realized that only those in power love Solzhenitsyn, and the people are not very much:

“Yesterday, Russia remembered Alexander Solzhenitsyn: 100 years have passed since the writer's birthday ... All state media, of course, wrote about it. Many have published large biographical materials about the writer. But something went wrong ... I looked into the official publics of our federal media on social networks and was surprised to learn that the target audience for some reason is not happy with Solzhenitsyn, and Putin, who dared to open a monument to him, calls him almost a traitor! "

For what exactly the people should love the writer, citizen Varlamov, however, does not specify. For “literary talent”, for a successful attempt to escape from the front, for outrageous lies and outright subversive activities against their people? Unclear.

But this time we will not focus on these issues, since a lot of detailed analyzes of the activities and “creativity” of Solzhenitsyn have been done (you can, for example, look at the analyzes of the book “The Gulag Archipelago” from comrades Meisner and Zhukov). Let's move on to the essence of the investigation of citizen Varlamov:

“Under every piece of news, under every story where Solzhenitsyn appears, the comments are about the same. Most often, the emphasis is on the fact that the writer allegedly called for dropping an atomic bomb on the Soviet Union. This is not the first time I have encountered the spread of this myth, so I decided to find out where it came from. "

So, the famous "Solzhenitsyn atomic bomb". Varlamov “decided to find out” and referred to Solzhenitsyn's famous speech to representatives of American trade unions on July 9, 1975.

Image

This speech, however, like other speeches of the beacon, is filled with so many lies that there it is possible to write an article with analysis and refutation for each sentence. However, within the framework of the topic under consideration, we are interested in specific fragments of the speech. Word Solzhenitsyn :

“I want to draw your attention. You have theorists who say: Stop US nuclear weapons. We, they say, already have now, America today has enough nuclear weapons, enough to destroy half of the opposite world. Why do we need more? ... ..

But the world's evil, hateful to humanity, is concentrated. And it is determined to destroy your system. Should we expect it to hit your border with a crowbar and that American youth will have to die on the borders of your continent? ”

And now, after looking at and reading Solzhenitsyn's speech, Varlamov tells us:

"Of course, there were no calls to drop an atomic bomb on the USSR."

And he’s right, damn it! Of course not. Well, nowhere does he say: “Dear Americans! I urgently ask you to raise strategic aviation and bombard this bad Soviet Union with bombs. ” There is no such thing, right?

Some kind of kindergarten, honestly. That is, first Alexander Isaevich calls on America not to get rid of nuclear weapons in any way (the United States has always dreamed of disarming), and then asks: "Should we wait?"

A high school student could also see in this speech a call to attack the USSR. But citizen Varlamov could not, or, more likely, did not want to. I didn't talk about the atomic bomb, and that's it. Further, the blogger complains that "stubborn propagandists" often turn to the literary works of Solzhenitsyn and there they look for calls for the destruction of the USSR. Well, let's read what the characters of the writer wanted :

“Wait, you bastards! Truman will be on you! They will throw an atomic bomb on your head! "

“And walking in the courtyard, we threw back our heads to the whitish-sultry July sky. We would not be surprised or in the least afraid if a wedge of foreign bombers crawled out into the sky. Life was no longer a reality for us.

Oncoming passengers from the shipment of Karabas brought rumors that leaflets were already being posted there: "Enough to endure!" We heated each other up with such a mood - and on a hot night in Omsk, when we, steamed, sweaty meat, were kneaded and shoved into funnels, we shouted to the guards from the depths: “Wait, you bastards! Truman will be on you! They will throw an atomic bomb on your head! " And the guards were cowardly silent. Perceptibly for them our pressure and, as we felt, our truth grew. And we were so sick in truth that it was not a pity to burn ourselves under the same bomb with the executioners. We were in that ultimate state of nothing to lose. "

“- If I, Gleb, were told now: here is such an airplane flying, there is an atomic bomb on it. If you want, they will bury you here like a dog under the stairs, and they will block your family, and a million more people, but with you - Father Usatii and their entire establishment with the roots, so that there is no more, so that the people do not suffer in the camps, on collective farms, on forestry enterprises ? - Spiridon tensed, propping up with steep shoulders already like a ladder falling on him, and with it the roof, and all of Moscow. - I, Gleb, will you believe? no more endure! I endure - no more! I would say, - he turned his head to the plane: - Well! Well! throw it! ruin !! ”

Ilya Varlamov believes that the GULAG prisoners, driven to despair by the bloody Bolsheviks, have the right to wish to be bombed along with their jailers.

From the works of the “great playwrights” of our time - Mikhalkov, Ustyugov, Menaker, and Solzhenitsyn himself, we know that when wars start, the first blow always goes to camps and prisons. Not for warehouses, railway stations and infrastructure, but for ZECs. And that is why the heroes of the "Archipelago ..." call for cleansing American bombs.

These are the "heroes" of Alexander Isaevich. Millions of victims, the destruction of the state - only so that I do not suffer, only to take revenge on my tormentors. They say that the author of any work writes primarily about himself. And, in this case, I am ready to agree: the author and his “heroes” are each other.

Surprisingly, Varlamov did not provide the standard excuse for Solzhenitsyn's works that this is, they say, just a work of art. I think it was a big omission on his part. Summarize.

Yes, Solzhenitsyn never explicitly called on NATO and the United States to attack the USSR, and did not ask to “drop the bomb”, the blogger is right about that. However, in his speeches and literary works he expressed himself quite radically more than once. I recommend all those interested in the topic to read the full text of the speech from 1975 (Art. 256-308). After reading, I think that there will be no illusions about the writer's humanistic intentions.

As for citizen Varlamov, he, it seems to me, is deliberately trying to "smear" his idol, using some strange methods for this - he draws our attention to the words (form) in the speeches of writers, and not to the true meaning and message in his speeches.

Listening to "Red Heat" or counting the proletariat
08/04/2020
Continuing an Unforgotten Discussion

... These are the thoughts I got from the 10th edition of "Red Heat", coupled with the echoes of previous issues and reading a sociological article recommended by VM Soloveichik .

Image
Proletariat

At the time of V.I. Lenin, there were about 3-4 million industrial workers per 160 million population, 80% of whom were peasants. That is, a relatively small working class and a thin layer (of the order of several hundred thousand) of various intelligentsia were surrounded by a petty-bourgeois peasant element. Today, the number of real peasants, that is, isolated small agricultural producers, as they were in the Russian Empire, has significantly decreased. The peasantry is, according to some estimates, no more than 12% of the population of Russia, which, it seems, is also a lot - about 17 millionperson. But this figure appears to include all agricultural workers, not the farmers themselves.

The numerically expanded working class now includes industrial and agricultural workers, including those employed in infrastructure. The role of the former petty-bourgeois peasant element is played by many times more numerous (compared to the pre-revolutionary intelligentsia) strata of knowledge workers or workers in the non-production sphere, including managers, industry specialists, office plankton, and the self-employed. If we take as a basis the current size of the working class, estimated by V.I. Galko in his lecture on the law of population at about 25-28 million as of 2013, then we can roughly estimate that workers who are not directly involved in the production and movement of material goods are at least the same or even more.

In the days of Lenin, the progressive raznochinny intelligentsia, firstly, prepared itself theoretically, no one nursed it, "Capital" did not chew and did not put it in its mouth. Secondly, due to its small size and weakness, it inevitably had to rely on the industrial proletariat and take as a basis not its narrow group, but its objective interests. The numerically predominant peasantry in the country had its own material interests, which had to be reckoned with for all social groups wishing to attract the peasant majority to their political allies. On the other hand, although the peasantry was in a huge mass illiterate or semi-literate, it felt its inferiority in this and passionately gravitated towards education and science, associating hopes for improving its material situation with education. I would also note that,

Compared to the beginning of the last century, today the number of workers is much larger, but the situation is not easy with their likely allies in the class struggle. The place of the illiterate petty-bourgeois peasantry was mainly occupied by "white collars", for the most part, more educated than the workers, who feel their not only intellectual but also social superiority over the workers, if not in income, then in professional and official prestige, as well as in more favorable working conditions. It seems to me that the really progressive part of the intelligentsia is now even smaller than it was in tsarist Russia, and the overwhelming majority of intellectual workers are quite bourgeois in their views.

I believe that instead of the contradiction between the city and the countryside indicated by Lenin, the contradiction between workers of material production and infrastructure, on the one hand, and workers in the non-production sphere, on the other, came to the fore, which was fully formed in the late Soviet period. The contradiction between managers and executives, which was extremely acute in the class-based Russian Empire, is gradually becoming more acute in today's bourgeois Russia. So what is the manifestation of the bourgeois character of social groups engaged in unproductive labor?

I think the answer is simple. They always have, implicitly or consciously, an objective economic interest: to sit down on the withers of material producers and professionally do something dusty and monetary, intellectual or managerial, prestigious or not very prestigious, but anyway more prestigious than physical labor. The late USSR vividly demonstrated this tendency, when the majority of the child-loving population, especially with rural roots, was racing to give their children a higher education and attach at least an office clerk, the so-called "engineer". After all, "my children were not born to twist the tails of cows or hunchback at the machine"... And a little later, the same office clerks and other creative intelligentsia unanimously hit anti-Sovietism and dreamed of a capitalist abundance of goods. The naive hard workers followed them, not realizing that no one invited them to the "higher spheres", their duty will remain the same: to provide material and household comfort for the next self-appointed consumers, for the next "pure public".

Image
Office plankton

On the whole, the position of the Communists is clear to me, who go to the factory gates with printed materials: newspapers, leaflets, paper advertisements. After all, the share of workers who regularly visit the Internet, in my opinion, is too small, while “white collars” are represented on the Internet almost without exception. The communists want to unite, equip with theoretical knowledge and aim the working class at the class struggle.

However, in my opinion, there are far fewer real communists who prioritize the interests of the working class than there are all sorts of left-wing activists. Some left-wing activists interpret the proletariat in the broadest possible sense as all hired workers, or even together with the self-employed, others generally believe that the concept of "dictatorship of the proletariat" is either outdated or initially was something bad.

And I don’t really understand what goals the "left" is pursuing, focusing on Internet propaganda and campaigning, in their words, "just people." What are they calling on these very "just people", for the most part, turn out to be knowledge workers? Are they encouraged to serve the working class or to recognize the selfish interests of their social group? What will be the result of such leftist propaganda on the Internet? Real rallying into a separate self-conscious class of the still atomized workers in the non-production sphere? Will this large social group become an equal, conscious and reliable ally of the working class in the struggle for a just reconstruction of society? Or will it think of itself as a newly emerged "meritocracy" worthy to rise above the workers, to arbitrarily govern them and appropriate a significant portion of the fruits of their labor? It is not known yet,Boris Yulin , he is patriotic exactly insofar as he has not yet grown to a large size.

Let me remind you briefly why communists usually prioritize interaction with workers engaged in productive labor? There are a number of reasons for this. First, Communists often lack the strength and ideological cadres to work with the widest masses of hired workers. Therefore, the main link is selected so as not to dissipate forces and not scatter. Second, factory workers usually have good teamwork skills and are therefore most capable of collective struggle. Third, workers in manufacturing and infrastructure manufacture and transport products needed to sustain society. If they suspend their work during the strike, it will affect both the capitalist who will suffer losses and the awakening of society. Fourth, working collectives with the support of the communists are able to quickly resume the work of production facilities and infrastructure facilities that were shut down by the capitalists in the manner of lockouts, and to manage these economic facilities. Fifth, production workers are at the social bottom and are most severely exploited. They are directly interested in social equality and equal access to material and spiritual benefits. Sixth, the objective interests of workers include the development and welfare of all workers. Thus, at the first stage, the ideological part of the avant-garde theoretically prepares the working part of the avant-garde. I would really not like the emergence of the next "meritocracies" - I prefer the movement from the equality of social groups to the equality of all fellow citizens. So in what direction should we all move if we plan to come to communism? I can name three main points that need to be distributed as evenly as possible to all able-bodied members of society: high-quality education (preferably universal higher education), compulsory (taking into account age, sex and physical limitations) participation in materially productive labor, compulsory participation in management and planning.

What has been achieved today, in comparison with pre-revolutionary tsarist Russia? A significant increase in the level of education in society, this is especially noticeable in the replacement of a large share of the peasantry with broad layers of intellectual workers. What are the current gaps? The old harmful stereotypes that physical labor is the lot of poorly educated marginal people and that only the "upper caste" of professional managers is capable of leading is still tenacious. Both of these stereotypes will have to be systematically eliminated.

Working
First, it will be necessary to establish a system of mass, in the long term universal, training of management personnel for Soviets at all levels. Secondly, to gradually redistribute the tasks of material life support, the entire volume of work in material production and in infrastructure for all able-bodied members of society, as they divide household responsibilities in the household for all members of a large family, so that everyone has to work as much as possible and spend a relatively small amount of time. Well, let's also improve the level and quality of education, because there is no limit to perfection.

On the question of the proletariat
This article raises an important problem of the social base of the communists. The article is based on the "Red Heat" organized by Red TV 2 years ago. In this program, various representatives of the left movement expressed their positions regarding the proletariat, the existing system in Russia and how the communists should work and what to focus on. All these questions have not lost their relevance after two years. And in the context of the crisis, which escalated in 2020, they acquired great practical importance.

This article is interesting and useful, as it raises the above questions. The undoubted merit of the article is the precise definition of the working class as the main social base of the communists. Today, many people under the "broad" understanding of the proletariat make arguments for expanding the social base of the communists at the expense of all hired workers. However, this is wrong, since, firstly, not all hired workers are proletarians (Putin is also a hired worker, if we argue formally), and secondly, the class of proletarians itself consists of various groups, unequally inclined to fight for their rights and realize their own class position. In this sense, it is correct to define not only the proletariat in the broad sense, but also that most revolutionary part of it, which should be in the center of attention of the communists. The most revolutionary and consistent section of the proletariat is the proletariat engaged in material production. In the article, this idea is formulated quite accurately and extensively argued.

At the same time, there is something that causes controversy.

The main such controversial places include the attitude towards workers in the non-production sector ("white collars"). The author writes:

“Compared to the beginning of the last century, the number of workers is much larger today, but the situation is not easy with their likely allies in the class struggle. The place of the illiterate petty-bourgeois peasantry was mainly taken by "white collars", for the most part more educated than the workers, who feel their not only intellectual, but also social superiority over the workers, if not in income, then in professional and official prestige, as well as in more favorable working conditions ".

There is a certain grain of truth in this analogy, but it is important to understand that most of the representatives of knowledge workers are hired workers, not owners, many of them are in a very real proletarian position and are part of the proletariat. The task of the communists is precisely to unite the struggle of "white" and "blue" collars, to show that they have nothing to share (except for highly paid specialists).

Therefore, the following thesis looks extremely controversial:

"I believe that instead of the contradiction between the city and the countryside indicated by Lenin, the contradiction between the workers of material production and infrastructure, on the one hand, and the workers in the non-production sphere, on the other, has come to the fore, which was fully formed in the late Soviet period."

First, V.I. Lenin was not talking about a contradiction, but about the opposition of town and country. Secondly, the very category of non-production workers is not monolithic, but split and consists of representatives of different classes. Any IT company has programmers who write programs, and there are owners of this company who make a profit. And, despite his good position (relative to the factory proletariat), a programmer who works for hire also makes a profit to his owner and in the same way is deprived of ownership of the means of production and lives by his own labor. The same can be said about workers in education and science, especially when it comes to private organizations. In terms of qualifications and education, the rector and an ordinary assistant professor of the university can be at a comparable level,

And so it can be said about any area: about medicine, legal services, government service. Everywhere we will see the proletarianized "lower classes" of conventional "white collars" who are either part of the proletariat (if they bring added value) or are extremely close to the proletariat strata (for example, ordinary employees of state institutions, banks, etc.). On the other hand, we see representatives of the bourgeois class, for whom the conditional "white collars" work. According to their social-class position, representatives of hired workers who are not directly involved in material production, according to their position, are either very close to the proletariat, or are an integral part of it. These categories of workers have nothing to share with the factory workers. But subjectively, like the rest of the working people (including the working class), this group of workers is infected with a petty-bourgeois consciousness, which is expressed in the snobbery of the "white collars" in relation to the factory working class, noted by the author of the article. The task of the communists, relying on the factory proletariat, is to promote the unification of the proletariat as a class, regardless of professional activity, and to explain to the proletarians of different professions their class interest.

The article says about campaigning:

“On the whole, the position of the communists is clear to me, who go to the factory gates with printed materials: with newspapers, leaflets, paper advertisements. After all, the share of workers who regularly visit the Internet, in my opinion, is too small, while "white collars" are represented on the Internet by almost all of them ... And I do not really understand what goals are being achieved by left-wing activists who focus on Internet propaganda and campaigners, in their words, are "just people." What are they calling on these very "just people", for the most part, turn out to be knowledge workers? Are they encouraged to serve the working class or to recognize the selfish interests of their social group? What will be the result of such leftist propaganda on the Internet? Real rallying into a separate self-conscious class of the still atomized workers in the non-production sphere? "

In fact, if we take young workers, then they visit the Internet very actively, another question is that in order for them to find class materials of communist propaganda, they must start looking for them. In this sense, print agitation in the form of hand-to-hand newspaper distribution at factory checkpoints is useful in terms of attracting attention and direct contact between workers and communist agitators. One cannot but agree with doubts about the agitation of “just people”, since agitation generally does not work without reliance on its own class, or it works in a random mode. Agitation of its own social base directly helps to pursue a consistent policy in the interests of the proletariat. But on the other hand, in our opinion, the emphasis is again shifted towards the opposition of workers in the non-production and production spheres. Even if we admit that workers do not watch the Internet, but only "office" workers (which, we repeat, is not the case), does this change anything in essence? Not.

Non-production worker

And here we come to the question of the interaction of the communists with the working people of the non-production sector. And here it is important to say with all frankness that in the conditions of de-industrialization, when in many large cities this type of workers becomes significant, or even numerically almost dominant, this category of workers cannot be ignored. The question arises: why do we need to work with them? After all, our base is the factory proletariat.

But, firstly, reliance on the factory proletariat as our main social base does not negate the need to work with other detachments of the proletariat and even the petty bourgeoisie. The Bolsheviks, considering the factory working class as their main class support, actively worked with the students, the peasantry, and the army.

Secondly, attracting representatives of the so-called “white collars” into our ranks will make it possible, using their knowledge and qualifications, to raise work with the factory proletariat to a higher level.

Thirdly, we must not forget that, even if not all, but clearly the bulk of the "white collars" are the same proletarians, and the task, as we wrote above, is to unite the proletariat of different spheres and professions into a single force to shape the proletariat as a class for itself. A lock on exclusively to one working class prevents the formation of the proletariat as a class for itself. And here, despite the fact that the core is the working class, one cannot do without the involvement of other proletarian contingents. If the communists do not work with these rather massive strata of the “non-working” proletariat, then the anti-communists will certainly work (and are already working): liberals, fascists. Given the widespread petty-bourgeois consciousness, these strata of the working people will easily be sidetracked from their class interests and will form a massive support base for the bourgeois forces. It is for this reason that it is important for communists to work not only with purely workers, but also with the so-called "general civil protests", which are organized by liberal forces hostile to the communists, gathering a large number of "unproductive proletariat".

All this in no way means an appeal to follow the lead of the liberal petty-bourgeois illusions. Quite the contrary, the communists must fight these illusions and win the "non-productive proletariat" to the side of the factory proletariat.

The modern crisis has shown that no matter who the specific representative of the working population is: a worker, an office hired clerk, a teacher, a small entrepreneur, capital will not spare anyone, and therefore, in order to resist the offensive of capital on the rights of workers, a united class front is needed. The proletariat, as the most advanced class of society, must realize its fundamental interests and, finally, turn from a class in itself into a class for itself, drawing along with it other strata of the working people (intermediate and petty-bourgeois strata).
