Sounds like the "Phillips Curve" - one of the dumbest ideas ever.

Moody's wages should be softened. They were indicted for fraud in Connecticut in 2010 or so and did a consent decree - 'we're guilty but not groveling'. The fraud was misrepresentation on bond issues.

In a nutshell: if one gives a damn about the environment then one must be anti-capitalist.

But rather than another damned 'movement' we need to realize that the solution was offered 150 years ago. What part of the fulfillment of human need does not cover maintaining our planetary ecosystem?

To those who would throw the mistakes and necessities of the past in our face I would say, "Marxism is nothing if not scientific and the Marxist who does not recognise the advances in scientific understanding is lacking."

It is not the cloying, overemotional, 'charismatic species of the week' sort of environmentalism that we are talking about, but rather that which ensures the survival of the species under conditions most congenial to our species. This would take into account the need of preserving biodiversity for the benefit of all and those of the future.

In Capital Marx took note of the necessity of maintaining or improving the soil for future generations and this should certainly pertain to other aspects of life on this earth that make our lives survivable and fullfilling.

Yes!! fighting battles on every front, but the war is against capitalism...man, they keep flinging more and more fronts (some just diversionary feints) at us, but when we see an opportunity to make a nick that will cost them, we gotta do it. We know we are hurting them on one front or another when the propaganda increases, the arrests increase, the reactions from the neolibs and neocons gets more virulent... But we have to prepare for full on assault, and it seems to me, within each front, more and more are getting it...more and more are seeing the connections between each front, the true source of all woes, more and more are recognizing which side they are in, and choosing to be on as well, the side of the oppressed... we're not gonna take it anymore...

Good ideas, noble effort, but can these stand against Capital?

    No.

These capitalist are like locusts, with apologies to the insects. They call it 'development', 'progress', in truth it is barbarism. This has very little to do with human need and everything to do with profits.

The poor and all others in the path of the latest calamity are simply cannon fodder for the relentless pursuit power.

The top of the financial pyramid are paranoid about what might happen to them if a real government of the people were to take hold. They have enough money for an eternity. But they can never get enough protection.

Hence, they add layer upon layer of protections for their position. One sided laws, diversionary wars, creating perpetually impoverished populations...and more. These elements all add to their protection.

Who can organize if you're under surveillance and arrested when you act?

Who can petition the government if the laws exclude that?

Who can try the perpetrators, if the judge is on the take?

We're through the looking glass where money is secondary to power which is required as a result of paranoia, imho.
